I hope that since Phil doesn't seem to put live shows on his second channel anymore he will start to utilize it again and just make little vloggy things from tour. Phil Lester V. Praying Mantis is still the best video to ever exist and I wish we got more of those. Also because they are going to so many different places and we didn't get a ditl last year, I hope we will get one this year. Or 5 months in the life on tour, where we can control the production and how much people see so we will therefore not make a huge scene when it comes to sleeping arrangements, sorry I'm salty.

Something else I've been thinking about ever since that Sue Perkins interview they did last year is do you think Interactive Introverts will be on Netflix? I know this may seem like a stretch but they did say they were going to film it to show us but it won't be a Youtube Red thing again. In the interview with Sue they both made it very clear that if they ever created something they want it to be accessible to many people. They even used Netflix as an example of a good company they have spoken to before. Also Dan's Super Gamers documentary ended up being uploaded to Netflix so it doesn't seem to be such a stretch. Sorry for this long ramble about things no-one was talking about currently, its just been on my mind for awhile.

Yeah, I've been wondering about this as well. I remember Phil saying the schedule for the gaming channel would be roughly the same and this year there's been a gaming video every 5-6 days or so on average. I do think they'll space out the videos a bit more but if they did one a week for example, they'd still need about 20 videos considering they'll be on tour for 5 months, which is quite a lot so let's see if they can pull it off! I'm not expecting too much from dinof tbh and I think Phil might be able to film some videos while on tour but probably not as often as usual. Also, I'm pretty sure Dan mentioned they're probably gonna put the "movie" on iTunes or Netflix.

A Dan live show is the last thing I was expecting today but I'm not complaining!

Can we not make this a thing? It’ll just be a regular video that has nothing to do with pride month (someone said it had something to do with that on tumblr already) because everyone is going to get their hopes up and it’ll be a storytime or something...

Also interesting that he unlisted some older videos. I didn’t really care until he unlisted how to make british pancakes because i happen to love that video. What do you guys thinkof that?

I'm struggling with this list because it includes a lot of my faves. And I recognize that they're still relatively accessible, but how is anyone supposed to fall into a stanning spiral without the likes of "AmazingDan 2" or "OMG UR soo POSH L0L!!1!" or "How To Make British Pancakes"?!?!?! I just... this has dampened my mood more than I'd like to admit.

He went through this whole thing where he read an email that an eleven year old sent him (maybe real? maybe not? who knows) that was about them being his biggest fan and a danosaur4lyf (but in Dan's tone of voice this was the Most Awful Email Ever) and how he couldn't handle people seeing those and thinking that was still him so they had to go. He also glancingly acknowledged the problematic humor in them but placed a lot more emphasis on how bad he looked (even pulled up a square hair photo) and danosaur-llamas-placentas needing to die.

that was a really good liveshow! he did bring up the bunny phanart, but he... just... was smiley and said "i would like anything that makes me laugh/smile" (can't remember which verb he used, both?) uuhhh
phil made a little voice cameo in the beginning as he was trying on trousers, they sound so soft talking to each other
I couldn't stop laughing when he read the email he received from that 11 year old, jesus... i was that exact way in 2011 when i found dnp.
when he was explaining his belief in soulmates in the sense of two people who have a good connection with each other... mmm i love this drink.....
this left me feelin so happy!!!!!!! we shouldn't read into the vid he's posting in june tbh, im chill!

When I looked at his channel after he said that, I knew stuff was missing but I didn't realize how much. While I don't rewatch that era of Dan often, videos like the pancake one, sonic 4, spiral of lies, and I nearly died are some that I can actually tolerate and feel a sense of attachment to. I didn't think he'd unlist so many deppy classics.

Thank god for the drug deal and for him only unlisting them so dedicated fans can still easily access them.

Omg the violence I feel at all of those words. So he was self-conscious about what a random 11yr old thinks and also maybe his terrible hair? Has he looked at ISG3 recently? THAT gets to survive? And SONIC doesn’t? It’s time for someone to throw Dan in the bin, just toss the whole thing out. And also someone (coughphilcough) needs to change Dan’s YT password so he’s locked out and can stop ruining our lives.

I always hope Dan learns from his mistakes and I don't know why at this point I am surprised. He always puts us in the same cycle over and over again. Like don't talk about how you have a video and then you just need to wait "till it's the right time" AND then set a date for it. He does it so much and it is so annoying because we hype it up and then the video posts and it's not what we wanted/expected and then dan gets pissed at us.

Anyway all that aside the rest of the liveshow went pretty smoothly. That email had to be fake or a troll. Just unlist the videos, say they don't represent who you are, and move on. He got me really excited for tour to start though. I'm actually really excited to see everything that they are going to show us.

It’s a shame he finds so many old videos so cringe, though I can understand it. I don’t remember a lot about the pancakes one except maybe what they said about Delia Smith and also the amount of pants-butt on display. I’d be there yanking his jeans up so hard, he’d love me

I don’t remember all of them being that bad, the posh one for example, though he did say “kill yourself” in that, I think, so maybe things like that?

I’m glad he explained, though. And that he said he’s expecting to still make videos and do liveshows while they’re on tour. I was expecting he’d say no cos they’d be slammed. Interesting that he gets more productive with other people. I think I do too, same as how he said you think lying around thinking is your favourite state, but it can actually be terrible.

I feel sorry for that 11-year-old kid if she finds out he read out her email, though. There’s nothing wrong with the whole Danosaur thing, it’s cute and even if it had its time, it was fine.

I was surprised and touched that he told us about his fursona decision. I hadn’t seen much of what happened on Twitter, but it’s sweet people had a hand in it. Slothbear seems appropriate.

I completely agree with all of this. And at this point I just find it quite irritating when Dan dances around his actual sentiments because there really isn't a reason to do that.

This liveshow made me a bit emotional lmao, dan was just so good and sweet. He talked twice about how long life is, and how you're gonna meet lots of people, which now also reminds me of the start of the liveshow where he kept rambling on about having a few friends, not a lot, but a few. Now that I think about it, it seems kinda strangely worded, but imma have to watch the liveshow again tomorrow to fully see the context of that.
Him talking about soulmates was lovely (I'm not assuming he was talking about phil as the 1%), I agree with his view on soulmates and think it was interesting to hear him talk about it. It's always weird, but good to hear him talk about love, but I always get nervous he'll say something that's a. not what he means in the direction of positive-phan, and he'll have to badly explain himself and say "well actually..." once again, or b. he'll say something that makes people think he's distancing himself from phil, and that'll also make people furious and confused. Anyways, I thought this time, he was very ambiguous and lovely about it.
I'm a big supporter of liveshows from phil and dan, as I've lately felt disconnected with them, and liveshows makes me feel more personal with them (yeah that's the point of 'em I know). Their personalities in liveshows are my fave, and dans liveshows can either work calming on me or be opposite, and as it's always right before my 'bedtime', I get very influenced by his mood. Today, he seems relaxed and not quite as 'zazzed' as he described, but he was realll calm and nice, and said lots of stuff which made me smile. Only thing that I was kind of twisted in thought about was tre beginning with phil, as DAN plz be nicer. I know it's his branding and is funny and on purpose, and he probs means no harm, but I miss how fond he was of phil back with the cheese costume liveshow (as an example). Maybe I'll follow up on this once I've seen all the gifs and relived this fine hour of dan-chat we got, cause there were really only his one interruption of thre positivity. Also, I'm fecking exited for tour, though I won't be going, for the sole purpose of them speaking so happily about it.

That was a very enjoyable liveshow for me! I liked the mellow mood, and that bit about soulmates really tucked at my heartstrings. A soulmate is a person you enjoy spending time with, short and sweet yet incredibly candid given their context.

I'm sad to see early Sonic go, I liked that video and a couple of others that he unlisted.

But I recently privated some very old livejournal entries from when I was 17 even though it's very unlikely that someone would ever come across them (and I had to avoid actually looking at the entries while doing it because they were so cringey), so I do get where he's coming from. It's a weird thing having your younger self and their mistakes present on the internet.

Wow that is a much longer list than Dan let on, but that doesn't surprise me to be honest.
There are a few vids in that list that I quite like, so it's sad that they are unlisted now, but good that they haven't been deleted.
If that email is real than I do have to say I feel bad for that 11-year-old girl if she finds out how cringe Dan thought her email was.

Overall, I thought it was an okay ls, nothing too special but still enjoyable.
I am getting more excited about the tour though which is nice.

I just watched the first minute back on his Tumblr and the bit where Phil says “Hello, Internet”, Dan’s tone when he says “no one asked for that” is so funny. He’s such a dad sometimes, telling Phil to be quieter and not break his leg on the stairs. He looks so damn good in profile too. Ugh, these two.

i can't really blame him for deleting old videos at this point when they're 5+ years old. a lot of people delete awkward old photos of themselves on public display after a couple of years, and the embarrassment has got to be worse for videos exposed to millions vs awkward photos that a few people might see on your facebook. it can be cute to look back at what someone you like was like years ago but the feeling of a group of people talking about a version of yourself you don't like so much is less enjoyable

Dan's liveshows remain exhausting.

I'm upset with him now even including perfectly fine 2011-12 videos in his little delete sprees. Like what on earth was wrong with Left Handedism (omg @lefthandedism sis i'm so sorry how dare he disrespect your username) and How To Speak Northern? Meanwhile another 2012 video by the name of I Will Go Down With This Ship, still has that ugly sexual abuser's face on the thumbnail and it's just sitting there untouched?? Get out

Dan vs. Phil, Sonic, I Nearly Died, Would You Rather, British Pancakes, Spiral Of Lies, the Manchester apartment tour, OMG WTF ASDFGHJKL (was this one deleted because the 1 second shots of his family maybe?) and OMG UR SO POSH are all (old) faves of mine or at the very least I consider them iconic and part of D&P's history. I give it three years until he starts ritually burning copies of TABINOF because it doesn't represent him anymore.

I call total bullshit on that email from 11 year old 'Sandra' btw, he was probably just in another one of his obnoxious 'omg I can't believe I did things 7 years ago that aren't cool anymore just like literally everyone else' moods when he went on his unlisting spree and then he realized people wouldn't like it so he wrote that low effort stereotypical email in order to defend himself. Or he got trolled... Or maybe he should just let 11 year olds live their life and not make it about him

Whaaaaaat. There are some solid videos here? I was just watching a couple of these the other day (mind you I don't have a concept of time so it might've been weeks away idk), and some of these might rank as my favorite old dan-vids. 'How to speak northern' is a weird choice to unlist, as I don't remember anything inappropriate or '2011-dan' about it, it was just a chill vid with the bro chris. "How to make British pancakes" is such a good video also. Obviously not up to date with 2018, and I guess a couple of jokes were distasteful, but it's a part of dnp culture, no? And am I the only person who think the email dan read out from 'sandra' was a literal joke from one of us. It seems unlikely hat dan wouldn't notice that though, maybe there was a part of it that made it seem more realistically from an eleven year old 'danosaur' that he didn't read to us.
And yeah, these are a bit more than "probably like six", dan. Lol.

On the one hand I totally understand that he might not want content on his channel that doesn't represent him anymore or something problematic, on the other hand a lot of those were faves of mine I watched a lot in 2012 and 2013 and the nostalgia I have for them is real. I mean, they're still there of course but like you said, it feels really weird.

I don't know, I think if there isn't anything problematic in them, he should really leave them up. If he starts unlisting / deleting every video he's not happy with anymore, he'll end up with a pretty empty channel soon. Yeah, he's not that person anymore but that's why Youtube shows the date the video was made, right? Most viewers will realise that he's not the same person he was in 2012 and what I always loved about his channel (or Youtube channels in general) is that they show a journey, development in video quality and humour and stuff like that. I like that. And the reason being "I look bad in them" is kinda sad. He looks younger in those videos and he looks like someone whose look was trendy in 2010-2012 (let's be real, so many people thought Dan was really hot back then. It's just what we looked like). I really hope he doesn't really think his younger self looked bad.

(I mean, by today's standards we all probably looked bad in 2012. Fashion changes, big deal, right?)

EDIT (because I accidentally hit submit before I was done like some idiot): So I do understand why he'd take these videos down, especially the ones containing problematic humour, but I'm still sad to see them go. They were my main source of entertainment in ca. 2012 and I'm sad they're not on the channel anymore for that reason.
