Well, that tweet sure was something. He could have just said he and Dan were coming out of some bushes and left it vaguely ambiguous as to what people may have thought had gone on, but nope. Phil had to be all adjusting my jeans lol', just to make perfectly clear he was talking about him and Dan having sex in a park. And there he was pretending he didn't know what dogging was in GTPWTW.

There’s a video from today on meetingphan twitter of a girl having Dan take a picture of just her and Phil (I tried to embed it but I’m on mobile and it just wasn’t happening). I find it interesting that when a girl recently posted a pic with just her and Dan there were a lot of people in the phandom condemning her, sending her hate, etc for not including Phil, but when it’s the other way around there’s nothing? Can we (and by we I mean pretty much no one here and actually people on Twitter/tumblr) take this as evidence that they really aren’t getting their feelings hurt if someone just has a pic with one of them now? Idk the double standard just really stood out to me when it was Dan and not “smol angel bean” Phil being the one left out of a pic.
Also I was pretty convinced that I probably wasn’t going to get any Phil merch, but damnit he might actually get me with some socks. As long as they’re not too overpriced.

I think another difference here is that the girl isn't showing a preference; if you look at her twitter she's clearly got pictures with both of them. Whoever recorded her just only recorded her with Phil and not Dan.
The person who posted the picture cropped with Dan (which, btw, I absolutely don't care about - I think preferences are fine to have and she paid money for her meet and greet just the same as everyone else, she can do with the picture as she likes) was very vocal about Dan being the reason she was there. So I think her attitude alongside the pictures is what made that situation stand out.
thanks @alittledizzy for linking that, i never saw the original tweet so i guess i was replying with an incomplete knowledge on the situation. tho, on a more general note, the "people immediately hating dan for little things or people thinking phil can do nothing wrong" stigma and that being translated towards the fans as well, needs to die already.

Are they still asking the audience to keep their answers family friendly during those portions of the show?
The dilemma section sounded fun tonight because Dan "actually thought about" his answer. I think when scenarios are phrased in the present tense (ex: "Phil is being attacked by a scorpion" or from a recent video, a question about a grenade flying in through the window "right now") Dan's responses are much more engaged and thought out. In the grenade video, even after they decided they'd throw it out the window he still contextualized it in their specific circumstances rather than a hypothetical by pointing out that the windows were all closed.
Of course, this is a theory I've had for all of 20 seconds, so who knows. Dan's reasoned responses are much more fun to read than 'lol I'd let you die before I'd eat cheese/lose my laptop/whatever.' But obviously they're going to lean towards whatever they see as the most comedic answers for a live stage show when the whole point is entertaining people.

Sorry to quote so much but I didn’t read this as sex in a bush at all. Sounded more like he was insinuating Dan had been taking pictures of him with his trousers off which I found pretty funny. It definitely doesn’t read as if he was suggesting teh sexy tiems imo lol.

I'm not really a merch person but I think socks are a good shout because it's something people who wouldn't be comfortable enough showing their phan to walk around in a D&P hoodie would likely be okay with.

I think the implication was still decidedly sexual either way; I don't think there's really such a thing as 'platonic taking pictures of someone else with their pants off in a bush in public' so the logical assumption to me is that he was implying they were using the camera to photograph or record something dirty that involved his pants off. Either way - my post is still the same. He still tweeted something very un-Phil like at heart (though in a very Phil like way). And I love it.
Speaking of things I love - this person's tweet with their vintage Dan and Phil photo compared to 2018! Have I mentioned in the last day how much I love Phil's hair? Because I do.
