Phil complaining he only got 4 marshmallows from a box clearly labeled “4 PIECES”. Nice try covering it Lester, but it’s in the previous story. Still, life is hard, especially when you have to share one with your bf and then are only left with 3

Aww, poor Phil. I’ve seen people review posh chocolates with that complaint before and it wasn’t even on Amazon where people sneakily photograph things up close so you don’t see the size if you don’t check the weight or measurements (I was amused that the company responded in company-speak with how they hoped people enjoyed their quality over the quantity). There’s a version with 25 in a bag for the same price, I’m not sure if they’re each a lot smaller, though. £11.80 for that box on Amazon. I hope they were good, Amazon’s reviews are mixed. Easy to finish them quickly before Dan even spots them.
My daughter's had this bag since Easter and is using it for school. I don't think she's been caught in any heavy downpours in that time but I can't imagine it hasn't been exposed to any rain at all (this is England!) and she doesn't seem to have had any problems with it. It's not as big as her last bag and she does seem to have a bit of a Tetris battle every morning, but then she does insist on carrying ALL her school books, a massive hardback novel and her lunch box in it... and it's certainly coping so far! It's a really nice bag.noodlebum wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 3:24 pm Hi, random question but have any of you ever owned one of their Japan backpacks?
I love backpacks but my most recent one has finally died and the backpack trend seems to have died on the highstreet.
I quite like the black glittery one in their shop though, as it has the outside and inside pockets I like. Was just checking how waterproof they were, and how much stuff you could get in, if you've had them before/still own them? Thanks!
Jealous of you all going to see their show![]()
I also thought Dan and Phil were twins when I first watched their video. I can't imagine thinking they're identical now. I think it was the emo hair!
Thanks for answering! I'll see how it measures compared to my old oneserenlas wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 5:17 pmMy daughter's had this bag since Easter and is using it for school. I'm guessing the quiff height and Dan's extra poofiness are because they haven't had time to schedule in haircuts, wonder when that'll happen? I remember them getting a bit shaggy during tatinof a few times but I feel like that was easier to pull off with the flat ironed fringe look.noodlebum wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 6:32 pm Dan's hair has looked extra poofy the last few days, I love it
I didn't even remember those. So damn pretty. I mean... I love tea.
I wonder if there was a glitch in the website because St. Augustine is no longer listed and people on twitter are worried they may be cancelling the show. I remember it had the lowest turn out so I wouldn't be surprised. Still hoping it's just a glitch though because I know a lot of people who have VIP to that venue.
Also still no TBC dates...September is only 4 months away.

I wonder if they might be trying to reschedule the show? Was it the only St. Augustine date or just a second one?hello9217 wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 8:36 pm I wonder if there was a glitch in the website because St. Augustine is no longer listed and people on twitter are worried they may be cancelling the show. But if they did cancel it - then they're just doing what they gotta do. If it's not going to be profitable or at least break even, I don't expect them to do it anyway and take a loss. (Especially since this operation is a lot larger than Dan and Phil, they have expenses to cover and crew to pay.)
Though... just checked twitter and apparently Ticketmaster is telling people it's sold out?
That's really surprising considering this is what it apparently looked like ten days ago:

Wow that were a lot of unsold tickets just 10 days ago. Certainly hard to believe that it is sold out now.
And while it sucks for people with a ticket, I wouldn't blame Deppy for cancelling the show.

The venue is saying canceled, Ticketmaster is saying sold out, and Martyn is polite but non-helpful.
Oh that sounds messy. It's not uncommon for artists to cancel shows when they realize they're probably not going to come even with it, and it isn't uncommon for that to happen to shows that got added after a while. That was a risky move on their part. I think the real problem will be VIPs, cause people like the idea of meeting them and to find out they won't will be harsh on some of them.
In the end though, their goal isn't to lose money so I don't see what else they could do about it, and it's better to do it now than when it's too late :/

Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.
Official Moving Hill Mayor
I already said this when Dan announced they'd be doing this show in St Augustine back in February (I think?) but I believe them adding this show wasn't a smart move at all and I still don't understand why they did it. Adding a show to the tour schedule that late, in such a big venue (over 4000 seats) and in a state where they're already doing multiple shows... I don't get it. However, I would be rather disappointed if they decided to cancel it because of low ticket sales. They honestly could've seen that coming and it would be a slap in the face for those who did buy tickets, especially VIP tickets. If they did cancel it, they should've let people know already. I don't know if this is possible but could be trying to move the show to a smaller venue and that would be the reason tickets are unavailable right now?

Wow, that is a surprise. They had Tatinof shows that sold low enough for them to lower prices to £10 and then for free so it doesn't seem like them to cancel and they're always so good about honouring things, aren't they? Especially to let down people with VIP tickets, but any tickets since most people would only have planned to see that one show. Not to even get to see the show? Well, no firm info yet.

I think with the TATINOF shows it was a case of them just wanting butts in the extra seats, and not a necessity in order to carry the show on. If they're already breaking even but ticket sales are stagnating then pushing extra ones even at a discount is nothing but a win; if they're not breaking even then I am not sure they'd want to risk the tickets not selling even if they lowered them.flarequake wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 9:48 pm Wow, that is a surprise. It still amazes me that they'd (whoever's involved in organising), would let people buy tickets and let people down by cancelling, or whatever's actually going on, and just say "we didn't make money, so no". We don't know if Dan and Phil are even the first to know when things happen and have a chance to put out a message before three possible outcomes float around.

I had a lot of issues with my backpack, I sent the first one back as after one use the seam split and the bag was unusable. getting a replacement was hard work and I sent multiple emails and tweets to the shop to get it sorted. the replacement one is also damaged but because I didn’t realise straight away (I only noticed 4 months later as I didn’t need to use it before then) I couldn’t ask for a replacement as they would have just assumed I had been using it daily. This time the strap had ripped half way through so couldn’t use it at all and I put it in the bin. I am not impressed at the quality, which is a shame as the black glitter is so pretty. I definitely wouldn’t risk spending all that money on another one of their bags unfortunately.noodlebum wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 3:24 pm Hi, random question but have any of you ever owned one of their Japan backpacks?

I’m sure if you just needed it for daily school stuff which might be fairly light it may have been okay. I used mine to take on holiday, so used it for hand luggage on flights with my laptop and essentials in.
Also, regarding the “cancelled” show, D&P will sort something for those fans who have VIP I’m sure. They’re good at not letting people down usually.
Ah, see I put quite a lot in my backpacks as I use it as my every bag, so chuck all sorts in there for work, put stuff I buy in there when shopping, books, lunch etc.missemma wrote: Tue May 22, 2018 7:55 amI had a lot of issues with my backpack, I sent the first one back as after one use the seam split and the bag was unusable. getting a replacement was hard work and I sent multiple emails and tweets to the shop to get it sorted. the replacement one is also damaged but because I didn’t realise straight away (I only noticed 4 months later as I didn’t need to use it before then) I couldn’t ask for a replacement as they would have just assumed I had been using it daily. I wonder if there's a difference in the type of bag depending on the look of it? I have the galaxy one, for the past year or so I've used it as hand luggage (4-5 trips, twice involving all day airport travel) and take it to dnd once a week and it's been fine. I'm hesitant to rec it still after Emma's experience, but it does at least sound like those are issues you know about as soon as you get it. Just seems like you're a bit screwed on getting a prompt replacement if you do get a faulty one from the start. But for my personal opinion: with the level of light to medium usage I put mine through it's perfect.noodlebum wrote: Tue May 22, 2018 8:12 amAh, see I put quite a lot in my backpacks as I use it as my every bag, so chuck all sorts in there for work, put stuff I buy in there when shopping, books, lunch etc.missemma wrote: Tue May 22, 2018 7:55 amI had a lot of issues with my backpack, I sent the first one back as after one use the seam split and the bag was unusable. getting a replacement was hard work and I sent multiple emails and tweets to the shop to get it sorted. the replacement one is also damaged but because I didn’t realise straight away (I only noticed 4 months later as I didn’t need to use it before then) I couldn’t ask for a replacement as they would have just assumed I had been using it daily.
