I didn't get around to watching Dan's new vids until this morning and then it took me 2 hours to catch up on all the PAAAGGGGES of stuff! But THIS is exactly what my first thought was when I saw that moment on the video.

Btw I love but the videos...
I laughed so hard at the Haru pillow scene, not only from the funny moment itself but thinking about Phil filming and trying not to laugh!!

Funny story I've spent the last 2 weeks watching Free!, looking for a very light anime, and I totally agree with Dan's description especially this sentence:"I've signed up for this show for speedos and now I'm questioning my life choices"

Regarding the sexuality discussion....
I'm part of that gruop people who doesn't like labels, so I'm not willing for them to come out unless they want to.
On the other hand, I know it would have a really strong impact for somebody younger than me who is questioning his sexuality and need some representation.
Overall, labels or not, I love the fact that Dan is more open and free about his opinions in general and especially regarding male attraction.

I would love to live in a world where anybody can express opinions about boys, girls or any other similar topic without people always just thinking about sexuality, we have way bigger problems to think about!! (I was feeling inspired... )

I now wonder what D&P think about all his inclusions, shipping statements and his general fangirliness about them in his recent videos. I s2g that dude hasn't made one vid without them in the past few days. maybe he started using tumblr or something he belongs to the trash with us.

Actually I'm really wondering if he was just randomly watching their Impossible Quiz video for fun... or what. How did he come across their fist bump moment and decide to put it in his video? He made a video a few weeks months? ago about exploring tumblr, and he doesn't seem into it much lol, so I doubt he's frequenting the phan tag very often.

Also these are fairly harmless 'ship-mentions', as opposed to the more sexual ones from earlier (like the finger-paining of them having sex/going down on YT high school...). I think he's toned it way down since befriending them. and is more 'in on the joke' re: 'phan' now... maybe...

The video I linked to is an excerpt from this video by ashens.

It's an annotation click-through/choose your own adventure type thing sponsored by Dr. Pepper. It features Dan and Phil during part of it, and I've only ever watched the Dan and Phil segment so I can't tell you much more than that lol.

As a friend of them, mentioning that ship that they have denied constantly once or twice could be considered funny (it's not) but every single video is honestly not cool. Yeah we know Dan and Phil are ok with their fans shipping them, but when it's a friend and colleague of them with millions of subscribers that does that in every single video, it sends a very different message than when it's teenagers on tumblr (or older nose perverts on this site).

Meh, I doubt they care. He's not making any jokes at their expense, 'phan' is probably the biggest 'ship' ugh on YT and are therefore the go-to reference. Felix is just fucking around (I would believe his previous D&P mentions (the more sexual ones) could have made them uncomfortable though, but that's not what he's doing these days...)

Crabstickz has made jokes about them with varying success 2022 why god why...

I think the people that continue to joke do so (assuming D&P are together and these 'friends' are privy to the reality of their relationship status..) because they think they're helping by treating it like a joke/not-reality that 'shipping' usually is. Double-bluff?

Like these jokes aren't outing anything or implying anything any more than mentioning Septiplier does. I don't see any issue with good-naturedly playing along with the reality of their rampant shipping.
