At least Phil's bro is managing other yt shops and it would be a nice way for them to stay in the yt scene even if their fame goes away. It is weird tho that the network is only danhowelllimited. To me dapg being under Dan ltd doesn't make sense at all? Because all of their companies are limited company which means they pay 20% cooperate tax no matter what. So as the only shareholder, Dan either get all the money from dapg or Pay Phil as an employee? But either way they have to pay more personal income tax and dividend tax?

I would say that both Dan and Phil are employees on each others companies anyway. If DAPG is under Dan, I would say Phil is paid a salary for his earning and probably pays 20% tax. He is definitely not a director so can't get a dividend (and pay the bloody dividend tax, don't get me started on that)

(and none of that probably helped because it is a hard situation that I have no experience in! Gosh I wish I did accounts for youtubers to see how much goes on. Maybe in the future or I move to London)

Dan on the other hand is a chronic oversharer. He shares alot to his viewers so he probably struggled to understand phil's viewpoint on privacy in a relationship. I think as the charlie/stephen and pj/mememolly break ups happened, it seemed to cement the idea that the best way to avoid messiness is to keep it private. Dan's sexuality though is something personal only to him. He has a right to share it and I don't think Phil minds but Dan understands the potential of Phil coming out indirectly because Dan comes out. With all the speculation surrounding phan, vday video and all that it wouldn't be a stretch to make assumptions. They really are in a difficult situation if Dan is ready but weary/understanding of Phil's ideas/unwillingness to share something he thinks should be kept private.

Whatever, I'll find it really funny if AmazingPhil gets claimed by DanHowellLimited next. Can network/channel fanfic be the next big thing please.

Yes it is real. It's from the Cyprus holiday in 2014 with Bryony and Wirrow. That girl stalked them to the hotel and it caused a huge shitstorm with Bryony blocking all twitter accounts with Dan/Phil/Phan referenced names. Dan actually refused to take a picture with her.

It will be the same with Phil and Amazingphillimited. Both Dan and Phil have to complete a self assessment and most likely pay income tax on any dividends they take out of any company they own. Yes he will have to pay Phil and Phil would have to pay tax on that aswell as any tax owed on the Dividends from his own business
I can't see them not pay dividends as that is the best way to get money out of your company (well it used to be until the Dividend tax came about and I will tell you when I do a tax return!)

akui they'll pay tax regardless of whether or not they pay dividends as it doesn't affect operating profit. Salaries affect it (i.e. reduce it) but since they're high earners its more tax efficient to do it through dividends. Our different understandings here may come from UK laws being different (you're from Aus right?)

Isn't dividends tax lower then personal income tax on a basic rate? So wouldn't it be better if Phil is a shareholder too?

If I'm Dan, and Phil still is getting paid from channelflip, I would probably just marry Phil and spend the money Phil got from his channels from channelflip and then not pay dividends and roll up our companies' assets.

Anyway I completely forgot that Phil could drive, I always knew Dan could but not Phil! I would love to be in that car with Phil (and I guess Dan) I hope they are keeping all these stories for when we get a LS. Can't wait to hear all about them.
