Edit: sorry was confused as watching on delay! He definitely implies the living room is up a level from his bedroom. Didn't they say when they first moved in that there were multiple floors or did I imagine it?

My read is that the usual ls spot/desk area/piano has the succulents and that's "upstairs" so his bedroom must be on the lower level.

alright, i didn't catch that, thanks! but nevertheless i thought the consens was that the moon room is a level above phil's room, so if the succulents are upstairs with respect to the moon room, there still have to be at least three levels? or we have to reevaluate and the moon room and phil's room are on the same level after all.

i am with you, i think there's an area with the "old" lounge and phil's room and the gaming room and dan's filming area (since they said they don't carry the camera upstairs). then there's a level above that that probably has the moon room. then probably even more above that there's the computer/editing area where dan usually does liveshows and that has the succulents, and the area where phil has done his liveshows recently (since dan's typing on his loud keyboard in the background, those must be the same room) and also the round fancy lounge we've seen a few times (since that also holds those drums that are in the background of dan's liveshows as well).

they DID say that there's a billion stairs and a complicated layout, so that's probably not too unreasonable.

okay i'm not fully on the moving train yet but dan saying that they'll get evicted and "goodbye confusing apartment" is kind of really similar to the "seed-planting" before the last move

Now he just said he should go "upstairs" next time bc of the bad lighting in his room. That implies he is not "upstairs" right now.

Also I totally forgot about the LS, hoping for timestamps for the first 40 minutes later

Aside from the initial excitement of seeing a bit more of the moon room, the first 20 minutes were very boring. I did not care about this whole emo history lesson.

I agree!!! It almost felt like he was... incapacitated in some way... or just sleep-deprived.

Also I'm still reeling from him reading my comment from the chat and then saying "Fiona" because I honestly feel like he mostly makes up names when he reads the chat since it moves so fast... I'm still in shock...

that's basically what i went to type in myself right now, so i'll just say i agree! he was in such a good mood, i actually laughed out loud several times which rarely happens at watching a ls. he actually seemed a bit binged up? the bit in the end where he interrupted himself midsentence to say "there's also posters!!!" and then proceeded to stare inside the empty poster roll before mumbling "i'm on crack" was quite something and i genuinely loved the rant about short hair and gendered language.

does anyone have theories as to why he decided to show his bedroom after all? has he achieved the phil lester level of having no fucks to give anymore? is it really the decision to move again? what changed i am so intrigued.

also i want to apologize in case my posts during the ls where unintelligible, i'm reaaaaally bad at writing and listening to something at the same time

How was that liveshow only an hour long? Dan covered so much stuff it started to become a bit overwhelming at one point, but this was still the first Dan liveshow ever I didn't space out watching.

Wow this liveshow!! he sounds so energised and ready to be creative, I'm looking forward to Dream Daddy and FINALLY another Golf video and possibly some more dinof videos that he already has planned/had started filming??? (He sounded like he cut himself off and backtracked to talking about the Crash video instead, to avoid hype perhaps.) And I was so happy that he showed us more of his room and I found him very funny and engaging this liveshow. I actually enjoyed the emo discourse because there are 3 (4?) academic years between us so his experience of emo in high school was probably very different to mine. But that's another thing, he was so enthusiastic about the subject and talked about it passionately and it definitely feels like he wants his videos to take a more intelligent, discussion-worthy, thought-provoking turn. Or something.
