Oh definitely! I also read it in this way, it seems more about the funny aspect of it all. It's just that when it becomes a running gag could get a bit weird? Maybe there's some context behind the sudden surge in mentions.fancybum wrote: Crabstickz has made jokes about them with varying success 2022 why god why...
I think the people that continue to joke do so (assuming D&P are together and these 'friends' are privy to the reality of their relationship status..) because they think they're helping by treating it like a joke/not-reality that 'shipping' usually is. Double-bluff? Like these jokes aren't outing anything or implying anything any more than mentioning Septiplier does. I don't see any issue with good-naturedly playing along with the reality of their rampant shipping.
Maybe it's been too long since they've hung out and they're just on his mind? Phelix needs to reunite lol.loststars wrote: Oh definitely! Yup. That was weird.Stakhanov wrote:@oqua Oh it's a spon i guess that explains why it didn't show up in my sporadic monthly weekly .. k daily 'Dan and Phil' youtube search.
It's nice to be here. Thanks for starting up the forum oqua, I never did feel comfortable posting "gossip' about my "guru's". I aim to be classy trash
Just a random collection of D&P thoughts.
The more i research 'ANIME WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE' , them more i think he was just taking the fanservice to volume level 11.
Anyone else catching that desperate 'halp, i'm being so gay for pay" look in his eyes at 5:28 ? the life-sized cardboard cutout of that pose is expected for delivery at my house tomorrow morning
So idk anymore, I feel like what mamaphan said (and others whose name I ought to remember but don't) is spot on in that they should just be whatever they are and to try to label them as straight, gay or whatever might do no justice to the complex things that is human sexuality.

I'm pretty sure this is something that might cause Dan to have an existential crisis.bluebox-away wrote:This made me laugh more than it should'vepigeons are bloody terrifying though tbh

Just gonna go bingewatch some 7 second R1 challenges.

Yes to everything in your post. RE sexuality labels, thank you, and mamaphan for being able to articulate what I was struggling to. I totally agree - sexuality is a complex enough thing as it is and with the # 'the thought of going down on Phil is like you going down on your grandma' phase the sudden tide of male-attraction references - particularly in the anime vid - is just pretty damn confusing. (Side note: did anyone happen to make a list of the amount of references to cute boys and/or abs in this video and his anime recommendations videoThe more i research 'ANIME WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE' , them more i think he was just taking the fanservice to volume level 11.

Honestly I feel like this is a tweet that Phil could have easily tweeted. Not saying he did, just that I felt like this tweet had a very Phil tone to it.
That 'phase' was one year versus the 3 most recent years of overt male-attraction references: what's sudden about it?slytherina wrote:

I was going to say the same thing! But imo if it were a Phil tweet, instead of saying "I feel so distressed" it would say something like "I think it liked me "SquishPhan wrote:Pigeons always scare me, they always want to take away my food or poop on my head.bluebox-away wrote: This made me laugh more than it should'vepigeons are bloody terrifying though tbh

The thing that made me laugh most about this is just the fact that Dan WATCHED a pigeon pooping for six seconds. Like he couldn't walk around it or anything: a 6ft something man just stood staring at a pigeon as it pooped, like he had to wait for it to finish before he could carry on with his businessbluebox-away wrote: This made me laugh more than it should'vepigeons are bloody terrifying though tbh

also I just noticed the code for this emoticon and I'm dyingbecause I wanted to do it yesterday but none of the gif making websites were having it, so today i saw yours and gave it another go.
And I do actually manually write most of the emotes out my hand, because I can't bare to search for them in the sidebar.

Oh sorry, that's not how I meant that, excuse my crappy choice of words Of course I know that was a 2012-thing and these days it's really not a surprise to hear Dan make a reference to male-attraction; there just seemed to be a lot condensed across his DINOF and DINI videos when usually they're just one-offs in separate situations (IE 'enter me troye', and if you don't count Phan-related ones of course). And granted in this case most of them were about Free!/Haru so it's not really a big deal, just an observation.fancybum wrote:That 'phase' was one year versus the 3 most recent years of overt male-attraction references: what's sudden about it?slytherina wrote:

Oh ok, yeah I get that; it's pretty bold for his main channel (especially for people who don't watch his liveshows and haven't seen him mention Free/abs beforeslytherina wrote:Oh sorry, that's not how I meant that, excuse my crappy choice of words Of course I know that was a 2012-thing and these days it's really not a surprise to hear Dan make a reference to male-attraction; there just seemed to be a lot condensed across his DINOF and DINI videos when usually they're just one-offs in separate situations (IE 'enter me troye', and if you don't count Phan-related ones of course).
