At this point, however excited I am for the new video (and trying sooo hard not to be disappointed with Louise!!), I'd be even more thrilled if we could get a live show. I want to know how they're doing, hear some tales from their adventures and just have them sit down and chat for an hour. I haven't realized how much I like their live shows prior to them going on tour.

I feel so much less alone with the LS-longing right now. I think it's because we're completely sans-schedule and have been for a while. No Radio, no YouNow, and what content we've had was filmed soooo long ago. And they've both been very quiet on Twitter compared with normal.

That people don't like it or find it annoying. Well good. I can understand that but it's not problematic. It's not hurting anyone. And there really is no need for Dan and Phil to "guide" their fans and ask them to stop that kind of stuff.
Same with that Hazel thing or 99% of the "drama" in the community. Hazel created the drama herself with her shitty tweets when no one said anything to her and then everyone bent over backwards to condemn the phandom and apologize. I am actually happy Dan and Phil didn't get involved in that.

Felix policed his fans that were really abusive to a young fan and compared her to a horse. That is really good he did that because those comments were despicable. But there is a world between that and jokingly spamming protip on videos all over youtube.

I actually love that Dan and Phil get fan culture and their fandom enthusiasm and inside jokes and are not overly judgmental and condescending like basically everyone else.

also I am so pissed and disappointed at all those losers. Louise for losing her card and tweeting about it. Like how bad at your job can you be? Phil for tweeting something is uploading when it's gonna be up actually in 10 hours. Dan because he doesn't tweet, post, live shows. I hate them all.

And regarding the protip and don't cry craft thing, the worst thing it does is annoy some people, that's it. I don't see the big deal about that, and I certainly don't think it's something should say anything about. It's not really harming anyone, so let it be.

im all for them calling out the phandom if someone does something truly problematic, not for being annoying, the annoying part comes mostly from 14 years old, and at least i can admit i was annoying at 14 too, let them live

obviously there are limits like this girl with the condom but still calling her out would be a little bit too much, same with people being gross to the girl that wore a bralette to the m&g, it was questionable behavior, but it was such a small thing it wouldn't make sense for them to intervene

Given the choice, i'd rather kept with their current approach of gently/jokingly reining it in when necessary, rather than having hissyfits à la the Zalfie nastiness mentioned in the article. Thank goodness, I think they've learnt from the past that fighting things head on rarely works to diffuse anything.
Now if the ridiculous self-appointed unnecessary and drama-causing over-policers in the phandom would knock it off, instead of drawing attention to every. inconsequential. little. thing. that'd be just great.

Well, in my opinion, the thing with the "pro tip" or "Don't cry. Craft" is not that it's problematic. While it annoys people (myself included) I don't really mind it when it's used in less doses, but when it's spammed everywhere I think it's a little bit too much. I say this because other YouTubers would (probably) like some feedback on their content and the YouTube comment section is exactly for that. Now imagine when another YouTuber looks through their comments and everything they see is "pro tip", "don't cry. Craft", "where the phandom at? " and everything related to their video is somewhere buried deep under all the Phandom's comments.

Also Louise is really an airhead sometimes. I'm still in awe that she could lose something so important for her. I mean it's her JOB to post videos, yet she manages to lose the SD with the footage.

I agree with everyone who is mad at Louise right now. I really like her and I knew about her before I knew about D+P... But how irresponsible can you be? Editing takes a while, why would you leave it to the last day like that? I didn't know that was something she did often, but she should know better. She doesn't seem sorry at all about it either, which pisses me off too. I would personally freak out if I worked with someone and then lost literally all of the work we did the day it was due. The thing is, because of Phil's video she could still get more subscribers and views. I wish an angry Phil DM upon her (the worst curse of them all).

Yeah I can also see where you're coming from. I didn't think about the win-win situation of the other YouTubers. I guess that the phandom does offer a service to them..

I saw a tweet some time ago from a fan that said that "promised" to wear the nail polish? I did take it with a little salt tho and even if they did promise I think it's just because they wanted to close this topic..
