A bit offtop: Dan's birthday always makes me feel bittersweet because it's not long before mine so it reminds me that I'll also be getting older soon

Agario: I still think that the game is boring af but the video was really nice and as entertaining as the first one, but in a different way. They seemed more subdued (in a good way) and quite fond of each other. Especially the way Dan is looking at Phil at 1:56 made me go all mushy and

new shows, unsold tickets: I'm with you all with nothing new to contribute; just forever confused by some of their strategic decisions. I swear sometimes I really admire them as smart businessmen and sometimes they make me raise my eyebrows SO high and wonder if they have any clue what they are doing and why.

Regarding the new Hollywood show: so I'm not sure about now (maintenance) but I when I checked yesterday afternoon everything except the pit and center orchestra was still available.

And that was after 8 hours or so and when you compare that to the Costa Mesa (aka the I-couldn't-get-tickets-to-LA) show which is only about half an hour away distance wise: the CM show, which very slowly inched towards eventually selling out a good few weeks later, sold the majority of its tickets within the first 6 hours that the tickets went live.

sidenote: there are also IRC browser extensions but I haven't used any of them so I don't know what to recommend.

Hi, first time poster here, i am reading this forum (should i said phorum, wow, ok, i see myself out already) since the begining, but because my wirting skills in english sucks, i will stay lurking.
But anyway, i just wanted to notice, that we had spoiler, who will win next Dan vs. Phil game. And i was actually suprised no one noticed it here earlier (or maybe i have missed someting, if yes, i am sorry), because yours spy skills are amazing *insert applause here*.

Anyway, here! Look at their leaderboard in one of the last The Sims game

You should vlog in Vegas, just an idea.

About the new show and unsold tickets; the way they handled things for this tour has confused me since tickets went on sale tbh. Compared to the UK tour where the ticket sale started months in advance, it was only a few weeks for the US tour. And with the UK tour most dates got released at the same time, except those last shows (which didn't sell out). But with the US tour they didn't and couldn't release all dates at the same time, because they were waiting for confirmation from venues. That resulted in a mess and a lot of confusion. Bad planning? Unless US venues are that much of a mess, I'm thinking they booked too late. If you book on time, you'd have a confirmation by the time tickets go on sale right? Then they kept adding surprise dates, causing people to get frustrated because they had already bought tickets for shows somwhere else while they could've gotten tickets for their own city (or at least a somewhere more near). It was such a mess.

About the new LA matinee show, I'm thinking we'll see these tickets getting discounted just like with the last minute added Palladium show. Maybe they're hoping Vidcon visitors will buy a last minute ticket? Perhaps they can work together with Vidcon to sell tickets, because I doubt they'll get a full house at this rate.

I like to think, that they were worried about upload something like that in internet, because that was something more definitely, imo...

But at the same time, Dan's editing was great, he had way too much time to do this, i guess.

Too many phan references/innuendos to remember. They are very self-aware. Nothing they said or did was an accident. If it turns out they're just platonic biffles, and have been toying with the "pheels" of thousands (if not millions) of young people's hearts who love them and look up to them, I'll lose respect for them as people, (not to mention the LGBT aspect of it). Yes, they are "just entertainers", "how we interpret it is our responsibility", "they're just giving the audience what they want", yada yada; but they KNOW what they are doing.

I saw the "existential crisis" mat. The area was actually quite large and on the second floor. The exits were actually down a level. The glass doors you see open on to a balcony, so no one was in any danger. And they certainly weren't making fun of people who might literally be in crisis. They were simply paying homage to someone they adore.

The most frustrating and unpleasant thing for me was the whole "no spoilers" thing. Literally from the time you entered the building ALL of the ticket-takers and ushers reminded every single person that NO VIDEO OR RECORDING OF ANY KIND WAS ALLOWED AND THAT YOUR EQUIPMENT WOULD BE CONFISCATED. There were people actually walking up and down the aisles with signs about it and looking for anyone who could be misconstrued as breaking the rule. You couldn't even have your phone out. We were there 30 minutes early and weren't allowed to text. I would not do well in a dictatorial society.

and idk, maybe they have been steadily making that security higher in the new shows because they had a few problems in the past with videos leaking and all?

Maybe that's it. I'd be curious to hear what the "no spoiler" policy was like at other venues. And what the crowd vibe was like at other venues - did it feel warm and fuzzy in other cities? Houston is a multi-racially-diverse city, laid back, friendly, and recently had an incredibly popular 3-term openly-lesbian mayor, so it's not a typical U.S. city. (posting this in the main TATINOF thread for more discussion)

Same thing! Maybe it's way too early in the USA (I can't comprehend the American timezones, sorry), but I find Dan and/or Phil not saying anything birthday-related a tad weird. Perhaps they want to answer some Twitter messages, or they just think it's inappropriate after what happened to Christina Grimmie

I think I've forgotten for a while how america is and this happening to a youtuber really hit me home and made me worry about them so much and think about what could go wrong so easily. I really want to hug Drake righ now

Can't speak for everywhere, but there wasn't at my show. Merch opened at 5 with a HUGE line already, and VIP was leaving the lobby at 5:15, so unless you were early enough to be first for merch, there was no time to wait.

To be honest, while it is Dan's 25th birthday and all (which is a milestone one), I'm rather glad that there's been no tweetfest from today about the Vegas show tonight or other things considering current circumstances in the Youtube community (specifically the US one) right now. It's good to see that they recognise that now is not the time to be drawing attention to their own celebrations. Respect for that, it would be easy for them to make a fuss about Dan today but they chose not to.

Me too. I hope the rest of the tour will go as smooth as possible. I am also kinda glad that Drake is there, it eases my worriness a little bit.
