His story actually sparked a lot of discussion at the time, because he acted like he was reading a question from someone in the chat (named "Tom") about how the gas man's visit went, despite the fact that neither he nor Phil had mentioned a gas man visiting. So people were speculating that he wanted to talk about the gas man and therefore just made up a question to steer the conversation in that direction, without realizing that there was no way anyone from the chat could have actually known to ask about the gas man. Basically it fed theories that Dan often goes into liveshows with a list of topics he wants to cover, and makes up names and questions from people in the chat to ensure that he covers those topics.

Also, in terms of what the gas man did or didn't do, says the gas man came "to check the gas meter," and later says "he's only in for like eleven seconds; he just walks in and goes, 'yep, nothing in your house exploding' and then leaves." The "nothing in your house exploding" comment makes it sound like he did check for leaks? But then maybe Dan wasn't really sure what the gas man did and was just making a generic comment that seemed gas-mas-esque.

Talking about pointless chase, I was digging old dan & phil tweets the other day for fun, and stumble upon a tweet of Dan to Lost Wiki complaining about some grammar mistake. I wonder if that is when Dan starts his involvement with Lost Wiki so I went to the community forum to try to find what his user might be / if he post anything interesting, but there are more than one thousand user and I give up. I'm embarrassed to admit it, and I know confirmation bias got to me, but GG was dying and I was desperate, so here's a story. About a year ago I stumbled upon reddit account I believed was Dan's. He liked a post or left a comment on Phil's subreddit or something. The reason I thought it was Dan was because it matched his interests, that apparently he couldn't discuss with Phil or the phandom, like Formula1 (specifically the guy Dan mentioned several times he finds attractive, I don't remember his name, sorry), classical music (just in general r/classic), etc. He also gave legal advise on renting (lawyer!Dan), and shared thoughts on renting in relatively old buildings. The only thing that threw me off was that that user took great interest in Latin. I'm not sure if Dan ever mentioned he had one. Otherwise I'd be reading that account's overview with my morning coffee

Okay, clearly I missed something not being in the phandom this year, because this mug emoji says daddy. Whatever it means, keep it up, IDB

For some reason this is cracking me up. Imagine if Dan had a secret interest in Latin that he's been hiding from us all these years. He just needs one thing that he can keep to himself, one thing that the phandom won't turn into part of his branding, one special, private thing that he can obsess over in peace. And that one thing is Latin.

I believe them about the gas leak but only because to me it makes more sense being true then it being a planned lie.

For one it's oddly specific, if they were lying they should have just stopped at gas leak. There was no need to tag on it's been four years or answer any of the other questions Phil's answered on twitter. They seem to have made a simple lie more complicated then it need to be.

And two it just seems like an unnecessary lie. Phil's already said they haven't had to evacuate and other then it being an excuse of why they need to evacuate the house immediately I just don't see the point. They've said it's been leaking for four years and apparently had no affect on them which hardly makes it the perfect excuse to suddenly up and move.

Dan said apparently the gas leak has been happening for 1 year and not 4

also, I REALLY hope he records the liveshow locally and that way we get Quality Webcam Footage and no lag. But Im excited they'll be on his channel!

Liveshow can now be watched via YouTube, yay for being able to watch these on a website that isn't broken as shit. And yes I'm watching for the first time months, new year new me. I'll peace out when he starts being annoying.

Anyway it was only a year according to Dan and they weren't even in the flat for a good portion of it year due to the tour so yay TATINOF saved lives.

Still, that old piano (while completely broken) had a nice tone off it. You can hear that with old pianos, they gain a nice ragtime-ish sound.

I just want to hear Dan play Ingenue and Welcome to the Black Parade again....
