Also PHIL. I am actually in love with this new version of him. Honestly I really don't think it's a new version, I think this is what he has always been (what he was in his early videos) and now he's just shedding some layers, and I am living for it. This goes for both pinof 9 and this livestream. He ruled both. Even dan is left speechless at this point. (and on this note, I need to say that phil saying anal during pinof actually changed me as a person).

Definitely agree with this - it's not a new Phil, though I'd say it's more just a matured adult version of who he was before he locked himself down quite so tightly in front of audiences. I also don't doubt that this silly goofy flirty kind of immaturely filthy (in the most hilarious way) guy is also who he is in real life and it's just us he's deciding to let in a little bit more. But they both seem high on the freedom they're allowing themselves - which is amazing since a year ago we were saying the exact same thing, in the post baking universe and into the first gamingmas. They took the slow and steady route and it's really working for them, Phil especially.

I wondered while I was watching the liveshow if they’re mentioning driving to set up for them buying a car. Recently, they seem to like to drop hints about what they’re going to do to reduce the ensuing freak-out.

That idea falls apart when I realize they’re going on tour pretty soon. Unless they plan to drive themselves to their UK tour dates (lol), that would be a car they basically don’t use for a year after buying it. That doesn’t make sense.

If admitting they co-own a car was too much for them, they could easily say Dan owns a car. They’ve already set that up by saying Phil’s a bad driver, and Dan likes nascar (right? I think?). Would people believe that it was only Dan’s car? No... but people don’t believe that it’s only Dan’s room either and that doesn’t stop them.

So maybe the driving mentions are in fact from a driving incident recently like when phil went to the family thing. I think I remember phil mentioning once that his parents (his dad?) made him drive in a parking lot in the USA once or something. Would they still make him drive now? Idk.

There’s no point to this post, I don’t know why I wrote it. MAYBE they just mentioned driving twice in a row for no reason at all. Hmm

My personal dream is Phil's take on the Animal Crossing app, as he was a fan of the original, and the new one's game engine apparently doesn't see the players' actions as fulfilling the need (build me this specific chair to sit on during my visit, and then I'll never sit there). I want to see some old-school GamingPhil takes on the newer versions of classic games like AC and Mario.

I am an absolute Animal Crossing fiend and I would love Phil's unfiltered chatter and opinions on the game. Just like everyone loves Dan's opinions when music and films come out, I love listening to Phil express his thoughts on things hes passionate about. Sometimes I wish thats what they would use the gaming channel for? More demo's/reviews of their favorite games- even if it is quite niche. (Also will someone make a candle haul happen, I'm with the 3% of people who would find that fun.)

I personally really hope they don't get a car - particularly not if they're going to continue to live in London. Apart from anything else, it'd just be another car clogging up the road and spewing out chemicals (unless they make the choice to go electric which I would totally support!).

But even if they did get an electric car, it's totally pointless to own a vehicle here anyway: public transport is great, traffic is terrible, parking is extortionate and it's not like they take trips out of the city every weekend to make it worth it.

(Sorry I realise this is a real killjoy thing to post but I literally work for a climate change charity for a living if there's one thing I care about it's sustainability)

I completely agree with you. The only exception would be once you have kids to cart around or because its for work. Otherwise there is no point having a car.

I think they may have just driven recently. Maybe up north for Phiks family thing? Or even just when they were up north like driving his parents car.

In the gamingmas bishi bashi video they both talked about passing their driving test. Dan pass first time and phil pass his 4th test if I’m remembering right

I agree with @lilabet about getting a car only for work or kids. I also think a car would be necessary if they decide to get a dog or a pet because I just imagine that it wouldn't be very easy to go to the vet via public transport if some sort of emergency occurred. But to be fair I have never lived in a city as big as London, so idk

Yeah I don’t think they would get a car while living in London it’s just a extra expense which isn’t needed even if they can afford it. Driving in the centre of London isn’t fun it’s moslty taxis and buses and I don’t think they go far enough around London where they would rather drive a car then self than pay for a taxi or the tube, even if it was to keep out of the eyes of viewers it’s just a lot of hassle.

Even if they got a dog they still wouldn’t really need a car. They’d probably have a vet close by to their home (as there is one in most areas of London) so they could carry the pup there if there was an emergency. And even if not, taking public transport or a taxi is almost always quicker than driving in London. It honestly isn’t practical for anyone in London to have a car unless they have kids or take a lot of trips out for work, etc.

Because I had some spare time earlier, I thought I'd start a Gamingmas 2016 marathon which I've been enjoying greatly. It's made me think about what games they might do this time. I think we can safely assume at least a couple Sims episodes, perhaps some Dream Daddy and Golf with Friends (the candy course seems an obvious choice). I wondered if they might consider re-visiting some of the games they did last year and ones they've played earlier this year...I'd really love it if they did some of the physical games like Dance Evolution, Kinect Sports and 1-2 Switch! My favourite out of all the Gamingmas 2016 games is Gang Beasts...it still makes me cry with laughter so I'd happily watch a re-match

Perhaps now they've released Truth Bombs, they'll include a board or card game

I think Dream Daddy, Sims, at least one Overcooked livestream, and Golf With Friends are solid bets. I'm also guessing they might work a spon or two in, but I'm honestly fine with that if it's one or two videos in a run of 24... in fact, best friend quiz would be pretty welcome?

I also think it'd be great if they did Animal Crossing, just to jump on a trend. I also selfishly wish there would be some new game that would actually get them out filming Pokemon Go-style videos, just because those two videos we got were magic. Besides that: flash games, I'm sure, maybe a couple nostalgia-based ones, and if they really loved us they'd bring back the handicapped gaming videos.

Dan said they were gonna do a truth bombs booster pack edition in his ls I think, but I’m quite excited for that bc I think the games v funny so I wouldn’t mind the spon.

Dream daddy would be good, I like anything quite dialogue heavy like undertale (which is what they hate!! haha suckers, too bad i love their voice acting). Golf with friends is always an amazing choice as well. Sims is to be expected but I’m not upset (it always guarantees them views).

I always say it but god i’d love more pixel rpg games - they’ve always been my faves because the storylines are incredible. something like to the moon would be cute but it’s long-ish, it’d be akin to undertale though where you get attatched to characters and end up sobbing by the end.

i’d donate to their patreon for an animal crossing video. in a way akin to club penguin, it allows room for a lot of banter and less focus on gameplay. i can picture some funny discussions over certain animals and defo some camp ground designing.

also, who wants to be a millionare and bubble bobble pt. 2. both had cute interactions, and honestly i love falling asleep to bubble bobble it’s oddly relaxing and calming.

Man, as someone who lives somewhere where public transportation literally doesn't exist(no taxis, no buses, no ubers, no subways, no trains, nothing of the sort. Or even anywhere close enough to walk to.) it feels so weird to me to read all of the things you guys say about it not being necessary to have a car, it even took me a minute to figure out why it would be any kind of a big deal for them to buy a car. I didn't start driving until years after most people do(and I also took four times to pass, ahem.) but before I did if I didn't have anyone to take me anywhere I didn't go anywhere. Most people here have multiple cars. Totally different world.

That gaming livestream was a blessing, I loved it so so much. I have no predictions for gamingmas, I'll take what they give me, but I am very excited to see what that is!
