To answer your first question: Logically speaking, I'm guessing people want to know for a peace of mind to quell the curiosity/nosiness? Lol. Whether or not they're sharing a bed, it doesn't necessarily 100% prove phan (this is coming from a phanagnostic). I think everyone here knows that deep down. I agree they have a right to want to keep the situation private, but that doesn't mean people can't be/won't be curious and want to know (especially since D+P made everyone more curious by mentioning the bedroom in the first place) so long as nobody's breaking into their bus to find out the truth lol.

EDIT: Basically what Lurktacular and manged said lol.

As for your second question regarding CF, it shows D+P are independent/successful enough to not have to rely on CF which is a good thing, don't you agree?

You see, the problem with the Internet is that you cannot know for real the intent of the other person, but the only thing I get from your message is a holier-than-thou attitude.

This is a gossip website (a quite kind-hearted one), not a thermonuclear engineering forum, which is something I'm guessing you figured out when you decided to register. We "don't get anything out of it", it's just a harmless distraction. I slept perfectly fine last night without knowing the layout of their coach, and I will sleep tonight just as fine, like everybody else here. Sorry for not fitting on your "desperate phandom" idea.

Can I continue SOL's inquiry though? What are we looking for with the bus layout pictures? I don't see how anything that we find tells us what their sleeping arrangements are going to be.

I suppose, mainly, we're looking to find out what the bus layout is. Like it can be that simple, too, just silly curiousity magnified by D&P bringing everyone's attention to the bus situation. It's not about phan proofing (we could have an actual picture of Dan sleeping on the roof as Phil lounges on a queen-sized bed wanking to a Buffy comix & I'd still be pretty firm on what I percieve the Phan situation to be) for me so much as it's simply about watching my objects of interest do a thing. We're rather used to them being holed up in their apartment, so it's kinda fascinating to see how they behave in the wild, how they navigate the public perception of that (the tweets weren't a smart move, for instance, now everyone and their brother is talking about the bus bedroom situation whereas it'd likely have been kept more low-key otherwise) and how they deal with living in the public eye far more than they've had to for years, for months and months. #busgate is just a lense through which we can view that now. Sure, being able to headcanon about nightime cuddling through it is fun, too, but that's hardly all there's to it. Because no matter what "proof" we dig up, the phandom culture has been set up so that no proof is great enough not to be debunked. The only sure-fire way to confirm anything is theirs. As it should be. But we're bored (so little content, so spoiled), curious and excited by our own collective abilities to entertain ourselves as a community. At least imo.

Well I think quite a few people have said that they understand why D&P would be lying on this topic (if they are) so I don't think for most proving they have lied will mean will mean they are horrible manipulative liars. In some cases lying is not viewed as a bad thing and for me this would be one of them.
And secondly almost everyone seems to agree that sharing a bed would be practical on a tour bus and it doesn't equal Phan being real so even if it was proved beyond a shadow of a doubt they only have one double on their buses no one would think they've exposed them as a couple.

As for why people are so hung up on the bus layout probably for the same reason why people are hung up about whether they have left channelflip or what their house rules were or whatever the hell it was we were discussing before that. The answer isn't because we all think these things will prove Phan or that D&P are awful people but simply because (somewhat sadly) we are interested in everything to do with D&P.

I'll hold my hand up and admit I love this kind of stuff. Anything I've ever gotten into that didn't have a really active fandom usually doesn't hold my interest for long because when I'm into something whether it be a TV show or a youtuber I want to be able to discuss it to death so I can find out every little detail I can. What can I say when I'm into something I'm really into it, I go in deep.

i don't particularly enjoy the more... detailed conversations like the bus layouts. i'd like to see where they're sleeping, and i find some of phil's tweets to be a bit odd in the way they seem like they're explaining a less than logical solution, but when the conversation veers in the direction of trying very, very hard to 'out' them i old info is one thing, pointing out the semi obvious is one thing, searching very hard to sleeping arrangements is another.

Completely agree with everything here. We are here to talk about D&Ps lives and at the moment they are living on a tour bus so of course we all want to know what it WilL be like inside. I am completely nosey so just want to know as much as possible. I am not good at sherlocking but people on here are amazing, which is why I like this place so much.
It is not like we are stalking them, just want to know what they are going to be sleeping in for 3 months!

If we were planning a way of breaking into the bus itself, then we might have a problem

This! the sherlocking is 90% the reason I stick around here. Half the time when we actually do get a definite answer, it's a bit bittersweet because nowI have to wait for some other 'conspiracy' or mystery to come up. It doesn't even need to be Phan based, I'd be happy sherlocking whether Dan actually wears a wig or not just as much.

I can't believe, however, how secretly disappointed I am that I'm traveling and can't keep up with all these investigations.
