Okay so apparently phil is still at playlist, so...new theory: Dan is with his family in the Bahamas? (if the room thing isn't real and he did go to the actual Bahamas)

British houses are much, much smaller than ones in North America. This is doubly so in places like London, which are significantly overcrowded, face a housing shortage, and have a lot of historic buildings. British people are used to much smaller rooms/living spaces than our North American counterparts - in fact, our view of what constitutes a large/small room is often completely different to those of Americans or Canadians. (Source: I have american friends, have lived in America, and watch a hell of a lot of those trashy property moving shows). Phil's room does seem a little cramped to me, but not ridiculously so.

As someone who has called the room a closet I'd like to clarify that I only consider it a closet by Phil's standards. If he wasn't a rich youtuber who moved from his old place (were he had a big spacious room) because he claimed he needed more space then the room size wouldn't stand out as being unusual to me at all.

While I didn't like the part where Phil reacted to ASMR videos, I found it hilarious whne he tried to his owb, I like that he is quite fast to improvise and be funny.

Regarding the bedroom, maybe he pushed the bed so he doesn't have to show most of it? Dan is being very reluctant to show his bedroom, and maybe Phil is ok with it but he doesn't want to show all of it. And it's not like he uploads every day t to be a hassle to push the bed around every time. Yhe lack of decoration may be that they're still unpacking stuff and Phil had to film this before going to Orlando.

If Phil didn't want to show his bedroom though then surely he'd just set up his own filming space somewhere else in the house so he could have an entirely private space rather than moving his bed about so he can keep part of his room a private space.
Dan seems to have a younow corner and a DINOF corner as well as an entirely private bedroom. I'm sure there has to be space in that house so Phil could have a corner to film in. (Like the spare room which is what I suspect that room is).

Whether Dan is really in the Bahamas or not (I'm thinking not) Louise probably read his tweet and took it at face value so is probably genuinely asking that question.

I don't even know what to make of this Bahamas' business, and do not like people tracking Phil's every move, but we may know soon enough if the tweet is a joke or not. I did want to add this to my last post though, but I was told I could no longer edit it, so here:

Smaller bed... queen to full? Full sized mattresses are not only six inches less wide but also six inches shorter. (The same length as a twin, there's a reason why we had twin sl beds in college). Why would a tall guy even buy a full sized mattress for his new room? Unless the room was too small for a queen and/or he wasn't going to sleep there? That's why I don't quite buy the "he might have just shoved the bed over because he has boxes in the way. "Beard room". Love it.

Three options: a) he's sleeping in the moon room with Dan, b) he has his own second bedroom or c) this duplex really is a very temporary living situation on the way to a forever home. Maybe a combination of a and c or all of the above?

And yes, I don't think we can judge by normal London standards, they are millionaires now so I would imagine that the small room is either because of multiple available rooms or because it's a temporary space. I keep coming back to Dan's ls comment "So much storage. You have no idea. An incredible amount of storage, just surplus storage." Surplus storage and surplus rooms? Maybe there are really nine floors

This whole situation is so strange right now, but there's a few theories I've come up with;
A.) Dan (and Phil?) are working on a secret project that requires them to go traveling to other countries for filming.
B.) Dan's just on holiday with his family in the Bahamas. Or maybe just by himself
C.) Dan is going on the Lester family trip. But went a head of Phil for some reason (perhaps for phil to spend time with friends/wrap up business or something) and Phil's flying out with martyn and Cornellia soon?
D.) Dan's just trolling all of us and is actually just at that party at playlist while phil stayed back?

Bonus: Dan's got a secret lover in the Bahamas that he met online and they're finally gonna meet.

Ok I would totally believe that he is in the Bahamas for something work-related (because now all his talk in his last liveshow about 'agreeing to do too much' around now makes more sense, just Playlist and then a Lester holiday (while inconvenient in the middle of a move) doesn't sound that taxing). Biggest mystery is what he could possibly be doing professionally without Phil, who/what's it for?! I Am Intrigued. (And if it's some kind of trolling, it makes no sense and isn't funny? Please enlighten me, is the discussion about Phil’s new bedroom just based on the single shot we saw of it in the new video? Or have we seen more of the room? Because if that’s all we saw at this point, I don’t think there’s any way of knowing what it really looks like or how big it is or what’s in it. Maybe he pushed the bed closer to the wall and there’s a whole lot of room on the other side of it? Maybe there’s a closet in there too and not just the drawers? Maybe he’s keeping his pet elephant in the room and it’s taking up all the space? I’m just saying, we haven’t seen the whole room yet and we don’t know how big it is at all.

I actually think that’s his new bedroom and not just a set (which has nothing to do with whether they’re together or not, as chloek88 has pointed out). Dan might want some privacy and not have his bedroom in his videos anymore but I don’t think Phil has ever expressed anything like that so maybe he’s just comfortable with filming in his bedroom and that’s why he still does it? It’s just… why would he buy a new bed that’s never to be used anyway? That wouldn’t make sense to me at all. If he wanted a set room, he could’ve just put a chair in it or something. I don’t think they would actually buy a bed and put Phil’s sheets on it to fool the phandom into thinking they had separate rooms, that’s just taking it to far. They would have just gone for not showing any of the bedrooms and pretending there were two of them (speaking of, what makes us so sure Dan’s moon bedroom actually exists? Have we seen it? Maybe he’s sharing Phil’s closet room. )

re: Phil's video - yet to watch it, but from the gifs of it I've seen I agree that his new room does look quite small. Like others have said though, that could just be due to the camera angle/him not having fully set up the room just yet. Even still, I do find it a bit strange that they moved because their old place was too small only for Phil to have to downgrade his bed by a size or so. Surely they would have searched for a place with at least two similar sized bedrooms, rather than a large master and several small bedrooms?

Who knows though, at the end of the day we've barely seen even a glimpse of their new place so it's hard to draw any conclusions. Also I agree that having two separate sleeping spaces is not necessarily indicative of not being in a relationship, I'm someone who is very introverted and likes my own space so would definitely be down with having separate bedrooms when I eventually move in with a partner.

re: Dan's tweet - what the heck. His wording is so suspicious, I have no clue what he's on about! I think the most likely theory is that he's teasing us and is actually talking about the bahamas room at Playlist. I saw someone on tumblr say there were no flights from Florida to the Bahamas today, although that's completely unverified and I'm too lazy/feel slightly weird about checking myself. It could be that he is genuinely there on a holiday, but that last line felt like he wanted us to think there's something more to it than that.

Could it be work related? I doubt the Lester family vacation has moved to the Bahamas as they seemed to imply several times that it was definitely in Florida. It just seems strange to me that Dan would actually announce his location if he was on a personal holiday, as I imagine he'd want to avoid stalkers as usual, which makes me think he's not actually there and he is just being a troll. Who knows tbh

Dan must be bored being non social as usual in the Bahamas room without Phil there and decided to have fun with the phandom. Phil can't even leave him alone for an hour or so to upload his video
