Some of my fave quotes from this show:
It was a fun show!"We're boys who like boys, bitch"
"Hashtrag lads"
"That's a fucking saxophone you idiot"
"I sometimes roleplay as a catboy"
"Let's release some boys from the pipe"
"Masticate daddy"
"Dan likes a good clavicle"
"Frankie, take me home"
"I'd quite like it if death came from a Mars volcano"

I'm glad he has Phil y'know. For like, a big hug after saying that. Cos lord knows how long that BIG video took for him to be ok with making so the femboy comment can't have been easy to say.

I'm seeing a big fanboy vs femboy debate! I can't figure out which is more likely? But fanboy scares me more, tbh.fruitcriminals wrote: Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:06 pm I'm glad he has Phil y'know. Can't believe all of the shit that came out of their mouths today. And which was my favorite? Boys who like boys, bitch. Butt plugs. Phil roleplays as a catboy (10 years of silence)..... online. Dan's a femboy.
I'm reeling.
Catboy bit was especially interesting to me because the silence before he said "online" felt palpable and maybe filled with a bit of panic from both of them. But uhhhh... Sure. I'll accept that, that's an activity Phil does online and not in the bedroom.
Y'all... I"m not sure if any of you are aware of this, but GAWD. I fucking LOVE Dan and Phil.

I really enjoyed this one. Loved hearing them laugh so much. We need their builder to keep doing things like adding mystery holes with seemingly no purpose to their walls so we can keep getting these.
I heard femboy but then someone said they think it's fanboy because of how Dan said he wanted his topics to rhyme with his name so I guess maybe that makes more sense? fan/dan? Who knows really, I have to laugh because this type of confusion after something Dan says is just such a classic part of being a dnp fan, I love it.alittledizzy wrote: Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:14 pmI'm seeing a big fanboy vs femboy debate! Tbh, I heard femboy and still hear it listening back, although I could see how it could also be fanboy, and both would be interesting and fairly fitting topics.
Idk I feel like Dan posting that little kid pic of himself and thinking back to his video watching homevideos from his childhood and then all the stuff he talked about in BIG had me thinking about Dan's relationship with having feminine qualities/mannerisms/etc. I would loVE to hear him talk about it if he feels up to it, also as a femboy of sorts it interests me.
But tbh I would also love to hear him talk about his thoughts and experiences being someone who is a fan of things and someone who many people are also fans of .
Also that talk about evil sexy vampires at the end?? I'm really surprised with all the old cursed fic references from recent that there was no mention of The Urge lmao. And Dan will never not take the excuse to sign off with a c u next tuesday comment
(also low, lowkey and I haven't mentioned it much cause it's just a vibe and I don't wanna start shit or people theorizing or reading into things too much when we really know nothing but I've been getting idk,,, ~~vibes~~ of Dan dealing with some gender feelings™ recently?? from some things he's said and latched onto in conversation. but idk, maybe forget I said this)

Yeah he 100% said femboy. And I'm with you on that last paragraph but also, think of amazing dan. You didn't just wear a low cut t-shirt and a cardigan as a guy back then, in 2010? Absolutely not. You went to the local pub in that. You were making a statement.inanerat wrote: Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:39 pm Tbh, I heard femboy and still hear it listening back, although I could see how it could also be fanboy, and both would be interesting and fairly fitting topics.

I wasn't able to listen live today and I probably won't be able to listen until tomorrow or this weekend, but can I just say that the little snippets I've read about the show just make me so happy. I've been thinking (as relates to me personally) about inhibition and vigilance this week, and so there's something about seeing these two just sort of let loose that is very, very validating and inspiring. So yeah, looking forward to listening.
For the first time since joining the Phandom in 2018, I am way far behind in terms of content lol. I'm pretty sure that the last three shows are pulled up in different tabs, each about halfway through where I had to stop listening and go to work.
For what it's worth, though, I am still caught up on IDB posts by the end of each day. You guys > the actual DnP I guess?

This exchange at 25:32 in the IDB recording made me literally burst out with laughter:

"I'D NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT"! omg, Dan. File that under: how to say you haven't (needed to be) on a first date in 10+ years without saying itPhil: Going . . . on a date with someone to a restaurant as a first date is a very good way of judging what kind of person they are, 'cause there's lots of things—
Dan: Yes!
Phil: Like, first of all, what food do they eat, how do they talk to the waiter, do they offer to split the bill, or are they awkward about that, or is it weird, and—
Dan: Oh my god you're so right!
Phil: Yeah, there's loads of things you can look for.
Dan: Oh my god, I'd never thought about that!

I actually disagree, in 2010 that was a trendy outfit for guys paired with skinny jeans and a scarf (and reminds me of this comedy song from 2010, he ticks a few of these and so did Ifruitcriminals wrote: Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:56 pm Yeah he 100% said femboy. I'm actually pleased, i witnessed a lot of homophobia where I lived at the time and if you wore anything vaguely feminine whilst pretending as being male you were assumed gay and made a target, so I'm glad it wasn't like that everywhere. That was definitely a statement in a local pub where I lived at the time on the outskirts of London (not if you were at college or in zone 1 london which is why I specified local pub) it came to mind as I remember a specific incident where a friend and I had abuse in a pub from some lads cos of what he was wearing (and me for simply being there with him) what he had on was similar to what dan wore back then, ie a slight hint of a feminine neckline or garment, not exactly a see thru pink catsuit, and just because of that there were taunts and drama and we had to leave in a hurry.kavat wrote: Fri Mar 12, 2021 6:37 amI actually disagree, in 2010 that was a trendy outfit for guys paired with skinny jeans and a scarf (and reminds me of this comedy song from 2010, he ticks a few of these and so did Ifruitcriminals wrote: Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:56 pm Yeah he 100% said femboy. I'm so glad he feels comfortable talking about it now, I have always felt very strongly that it's completely ridiculous how essentially pieces of fabric have been made into such a gender based thing as well as a sexuality based thing as well as wanting toxic masculinity to disappear into the ether, so I love that this conversation is being made more mainstream.

I can't edit that but I meant presenting not pretending. I can't spell and need coffee. Sorry!

I’ve listened to that clip a few times now and all I hear is “fanboy” so I guess we’ll find out Tuesday. He should do a poll to ask what people heard
