Anyone else noticed Dan's look when Phil hit Louise in the boob with the knee and they had a moment of laughing together?

i loved the video actually. It was such a nice collab. It was funny and i spent 11 nice minutes laughing. They needed just a bit of a structure to make it work, not the utter chaos that was the NWW video. its not bad to have a little control. but my ears.. my poor sensitive ear drums

The video was amazing. It was definitely worth the wait only if we'd get the Louise video toochiccola wrote:Awww, the video with Louise made me climb into the Phan trash once again hahha.

I really loved the chemistry between all 3, they were so cute and bubbly and friendly and I definitely need to re-watch it to find all the good moments like the jealous! Dan. The poor boy has a real problem with jealousy
Also, do you guys see how hard Dan is trying to smile at the end of the gig and just makes this "I'm trying not to murder you both" face, or I am seeing things?

Really enjoyed that video! It was so energetic and fun and just felt really happy all around, lovely to watch
I also loved the little sound barrier chat, wish Phil hadn't half cut away from what seemed like a fond look and giggle he exchanged with Louise at 6:08. And shout out to Dan for dragging Phil into his little male attraction mention there! From Dan, and especially qualified by ~objectively~, it would be essentially nothing, but from Phil it almost feels worth mentioning - or at least the fact that he actively chose to leave it in could be, as it would have been easy to cut. Also Louise's reaction is hilarious throughout that whole bit, right from where she says 'especially if he was naked' she keeps glancing at the camera and looks slightly like she's getting away with something.
Also I really want that game now, it seems ridiculous!
yes i am this thirsty for any attraction references from phil, i'm sorry

This video was so fantastic. I think Phil knows himself very well in situations like this and he does himself and the people in his videos a service by setting up structured games that guarantee everyone will have a chance to talk and you don't end up with the weird vibe Louise's video had where the loud people overtalk and the naturally quieter one appears awkward for not doing that.
0:15 - Or not accidentally. Ayyyy all about the butt touching.
2:33 - Louise definitely got it first but I love Phil's dedication to making sure Dan wins things.
3:40 - Really, you missed the cherry reference, Phil? Tsk.
3:56 - That little moment Phil touches Dan's shoulder. Look, I'm fulfilling a fangirl stereotype ny needing to breathe into a paper bag every time they touch, but I cannot and will not apologize for my casual domestic affection kink and I am not a violent person but I will happily poke the first person to say 'phanservice' at this very hard in the shoulder. That gentle touch and reminder just makes me imagine them sitting in their lounge with Bryony and Wirrow playing actual charades or a board game.
5:57 - There is a brief lack of persona when Dan goes "Phil. Phil." and Phil responds, "Yeah?" that just gets me feeling things deep down inside.
6:28 - Phil nods as Dan is saying "Objectively, Phil, it would, wouldn't it?" and that ever so faintly hesitant agreeing. I don't think Phil would have volunteered that himself but I trust Dan to know Phil's boundaries better than anyone else and I will quietly and happily take that moment for the expression of male attraction that it is. What Phil chooses to leave into a video when the editing is in his hands is significant.
7:20 - "Phil and Louise are so cute" - I love the look Louise gives Phil as Dan is saying that. (Link to a screencap of that look.)
7:58 - Despite Phil saying they were having three different conversations, it sounds like Dan and Phil were actually having the same one... and I love that their mind just went to the same place naturally with it.
9:56 - "Do it again. You had a little... puberty." I love little blooper-like moments that get left in.

Well, hate to spoil the fun but he probably doesn't like it when people speak over him (I can relate), as he was trying to say something and suddenly Phil and Louise started laughing. To me his face says "wtf, I'm confused. I'll impatiently wait it out to be polite and then I'll say what I still want to say"chiccola wrote:Anyone else noticed Dan's look when Phil hit Louise in the boob with the knee and they had a moment of laughing together?

Anyway, I can't honestly rave about the video the way most of you do. It was good fun and entertaining but I probably won't rewatch it a lot don't kill me pls. It was nice to see Phil stand his ground. The shouting didn't bother me here, maybe because I can relate to the competetive shouting during games when all of the players do it
Oh, and I loved their reactions to the Little Mermaid card and Phil's comment "we're all having different conversations right now". I felt the fourth wall breaking and it was a good feeling

Is it weird that I kept replaying Phil's little wiggle at 3:32...it was just so cute. Phil in general just has these strange little mannerisms that I find endearing.
Also I found the "Objectively, Phil, it would, wouldn't it?"quite funny because Dan has proven not to be very hesitant when dragging Phil into the male attraction mentions, as proven by the ''Taylor Lautner shirtless'' thing at Summer in the City. Maybe this is different because it's a video with a far larger audience?

Under spoiler because we moved on and it's worded badly:
About protip &co:I never understood the issue. The comment section of the phandom is loud but it doesn't mean that all of it is, also it always amused me as viewer. Before I even knew who were I saw under the comments of my favourite youtubers at the time this cry/craft comments but I always regarded it as something that people did, as it was a joke between them.
Basically daphnexa
Now the video: I loved it, it would have been better if there were two videos
but
I liked their competitiveness , especially Louise's, and how they interacted, it was perfect apart from the lack of a warning regarding headphone users.

English is not my first language: half of the mistakes are typos ,half are me
That was such a nice video tbh, I'm not about Phil's collabs usually but this one had me laughing out loud various times, especially Louise's competitiveness. Phil wasn't third wheeling like in NWW, but still seems to have trouble speaking over people who are louder and more talkative? That wasn't helping him in the game, like Louise's screaming is intimidating enough as it is :') And Dan was sitting on the other side, so we saw the other gorgeous side of his face #blessed
lol at Dan telling Phil, for the third time apparently, that he's wrong about the sound barrier thing. I'd love to be a fly on the wall of their flat just to hear their conversations. Like what do these idiots talk about all day? The way he said it as well, 'Phil, this is the third time we had this conversation-' like a nagging spouse. Ahhh ~domestic~
Also Dan wasn't Justin Timberlake to jump out of his birthday cake. Naked. Phil actually agreed.
They should've picked a different location though, like the living room and then filmed it from further away. It would've given them more space for doing impressions instead awkwardly moving around the bed while trying not to punch each other in the face, and they would've fit into frame comfortably. (I'd actually LOVE for Phil to film somewhere else in general, I'm so over his bed and that side of the room.)
Damnit Louise, why did you have to be an airhead. I need more D:

yes to most of the above, I loved the video a lot.
especially yes to alittledizzy.
one moment to add to that list of favourites is this one:
D: "do it again, you had a little... puberty"
P: "my voice broke"
L: "I wasn't gonna say anything"
*lots of cute giggling*
and then this look from dan:

it makes me feel all fuzzy for some reason

Ikr. During the #makingamurderergate Dan said his favorite modern family character is Claire. And ever since the little ~domestic~ moments Dan had with Phil always reminded me of a classic old married couple like Claire and Phil.chiccola wrote:Right?? That part was so domestic. The "Phil. Especially as they were playing charades, I thought a different camera set up would be warranted, like a full-body/full-room thing. Why are they both so attached to the sitting-on-bed format, even in videos like this one and the 7 second challenge ones that would make much sense to film differently? I guess we have plenty of examples when they do get creative (such as "dan the dinosaur" and more sketch-type ones), but I just thought to get really into the game they should have stood up.gnostic wrote:Why the hell did Phil feel the need to sit with his legs spread like he is a douche on Monday tube through that video? I loved loved loved this video, even if I don't really understand how Phil was so drastically different in Louise's, which was filmed the same day And Dan, pls, stop the dogue face, we like the dimple.

We know, actually, about one time that Dan explained the sound barrier to Phil. It was also in a (gaming?) video they did together, so this makes me wonder how many times it comes up in normal conversation versus being inspired by things going on in videos.Poe wrote:+1 to this. I reckon they filmed Dan's, then the NWW, then this. So he'd had time to switch on a bit more.Ticia wrote:I loved loved loved this video, even if I don't really understand how Phil was so drastically different in Louise's, which was filmed the same day
Plausible?
Phil's shirt was gaping/pulling open throughout the video. Didn't notice it during the NWW, bt he was moving around a lot more in this.
Add me to the "why didn't they film this in the lounge" club - especially after saying they were crowded on the bed and uncomfortably warm...
Also, selfishly, IT'S A CONVENIENT TIME TO OFFICIALLY BECOME A BUTTERGLUTTON! (soz louise, blame oqua!)

What a great video it was so worth waiting for. They are we're so sweet and just having fun I was grinning the whole time.
I love when these guys just let loose and not worry too much about what they say or do. And how about Phil when he was like did you like my snake and then tickles Louise face and she was swooning.
I love the silly fun sweet Phil when he laughes with his whole face and his eyes light up and his smile is so big. And Dan when he ends up laughing so hard he goes out of frame.
I also enjoyed the editing. I have not read the past few pages but I just had to come in here and say how much I loved this video and reminds me why I am subscribed to AmazingPhil.

That people don't like it or find it annoying. Well good. I can understand that but it's not problematic. It's not hurting anyone. And there really is no need for Dan and Phil to "guide" their fans and ask them to stop that kind of stuff.
.
The times I do think it should be guided though are like when D&P were on holiday and the phandom freaked out saying how 4chan were going to hack their flat and steal all their information and identities and break into their flat. Like seriously, it was SO ridiculous and completely over the top, people were posting like D&P were going to get killed or something. Luckily, Dan addressed it in a liveshow and told people to chill out.
I think D&P are pretty good at guiding people when they need to already, they are in control of their fanbase pretty much.
Dan will go for the safe option and tick "scary tall" because that's easy and will cause no freak outs.blueapple_x wrote:What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Ohhhhhhh the new AmazingPhil video, finally, thank you gods! I am in love with this video, it's so funny, I've already watched it about 5 times and it's made me laugh each time. As much as a liveshow would be good, this is the kind of video that I have been waiting for. They are so funny when it comes to playing games like this, and they work so well with Louise.
The bits I enjoyed the most:
0:14 - Jealous!Dan
0:16 - Phil's little look in Dan's direction - trying to be subtle but oh so noticeable
0:21 - Dan looks so cute here, until he goes into troll mode

0:34 - CLAMMY!
0:48 - "I was gonna spit on your face then"
1:47 - Louise and Dan are just really hilarious during this part
2:17 - sneaky bit of phil stomach thankyouverymuch
2:38-2:47 - how did Phil not tell them both to shut up haha!

3:22 - "Mary Berry is our baking senpai" - fucking yes mate. Move over Delia.
3:30 - "but of course you said something that made it okay" - yes Dan, we all know Phil is a precious cinnamon roll that can say no wrong.
3:49 -
3:56 - the slight tap on Dans shoulder to tell him to hurry up, soft!phil
4:20 - Dan as a ferry, do I need to say anymore...
5:14 - Oh wow, can I make a wanking!phil avatar please
5:26 - Phil saying what the rest of us are thinking "SO LOUD", yes, they are frigging loud but i love it
5:43 - "do you like my snake" ahem

5:57-6:06 - this is such a cute interaction, i don't know why but it literally made me aw.
6:23 - "especially if he was naked", their reactions to this are just what we've all waited for for ages, amirite.

7:55 - "i am going to be playing, not doing, the little mermaid"
8:49 - "i didn't think she'd be able to make a call underwater", "there can't be fire underwater"
9:00 - that wink
9:56 - Dan telling Phil to do it again, alright there Director!Dan
