Re laundry:
[offtopic]My mum has a rule that once a child turns eight, that child is old enough to do laundry. I have a laundry day and wash my own laundry once a week. It's just put the clothes in the washing machine, hang them out when they're washed, bring them in when they're dry. But I'm sure everybody's experiences are different, depending on their family, culture/background and laundry opportunities (I was homeschooled so had time at home to hang out clothes).[/offtopic]

And I can only see "tall bean why cereal", for the record. Can't think what else that second word could be.

sorry this top post is so irrelevant

Not really. My sister is a month shy of 22 and she probably touches the laundry 3 times in a year.
Lol I don't think fancy_nancy meant "weird" as in unheard of per say, but more so that it might be reflective of Phil (and other capable adults in similar situations) being a bit spoiled? (Correct me if I'm wrong fancy_nancy)

This is all assuming Phil never touched the laundry much while living at home. It's possible he did do his own laundry at home sometimes but it was mostly his mom (for what reason, I do not know). For all we know he was a spoiled princess lol.
It sounds like Dan does laundry now too. They probably both do it, but they have referenced Dan doing the laundry a couple of times. I have to go to bed now (4 am wake up call) or I would look. I am sure some one else on here would know. I think one time was mentioned in the book? About turning all the clothes pink or something. I know I have heard it at least one other time from either of them... But Phil does do his laundry at least sometimes because on one ls he talks about his fabric softener. I thought that was interesting. In all the years that I had room mates, we never did each others laundry... ;)
Perhaps coming from different backgrounds, but I often wind up doing my roommate's washing and vice versa. We just chuck all our clothes in a basket and don't bother separating them when we need to wash, so I don't consider it odd that D&P would do each others laundry.
[offtopic]My washing machine stopped working yesterday and I have a heap of wet half washed clothes sitting in there and nothing to wear, pls help[/offtopic]

My handwriting is crap but when I look at Dan's I realize I'm nowhere near that bad. Anyway, I read 'tall bean why cereal' now too. I guess the why is like a general statement Dan makes whenever Phil does something... you know like the infamous knwoing look into the camera.

More laundry wank but spoiled princess my ass, I don't wear or even own so much clothes that I fill up an entire cycle every week. Does anyone? :|

My ex's family would do all their washing separate as well, five people, and it killed me every time to see a half empty washing machine at work. To me it's just a waste of energy, water, time and money and very unnecessary while I still live at home. Everything in this household gets washed at the same time, no matter who owns it, and it's my mom who does it. I do my hand wash items myself and sometimes bring my more expensive and important items to the dry cleaners but that's about it as far as laundry goes for me rn (I obviously know how to run a wash though).

I have other chores, like cleaning my bedroom, the bathroom, minimal gardening in spring/summer and keeping the elderly cat alive by feeding her tiny ass meals 6x a day... perhaps it was the same for Phil, doing laundry simply wasn't his chore?

hi recent lurker converted to full time here!

as for dan's handwriting, god knows what he's saying half the time because i think he's just trolling us at this point but i'm reading "tall bean why cereal"

he's been calling phil 'bean' a lot lately so it seems that's become another one of his go to answers for these things

I think a lot, if not most people combine their clothes with their family's to make a load instead of only washing their own clothes lol. Myself included. Although in my case it wasn't only my mom washing but everyone. I didn't mean he was a spoiled princess because of that (just in case anybody misinterpreted what I meant/took it personally). I meant hypothetically he could've been one lol. I think there are more reasons why some people might think Phil was pampered though.

A+

I mean, I wouldn't put it past them to hire a bus only for themselves, but how normal is it for touring bands or celebrities to do that? (I find myself thinking ''how normal is it'' about these two quite a lot. )

Feel special cora808, I moved on from my very special 420 rank just for you.

[offtopic]Really? I've never combined my clothes with my family's, even when I was a kid. Plus I have too many clothes for that anyway, my clothes fill up a load on their own.[/offtopic]

I don't see bean...I see tall jan why cereal I'm sure it's supposed to say bean though, that makes a lot more sense. Oh Dan.

Dan and Phil sharing a private tour bus is what I live for

[offtopic]I never do my own laundry. There's a lot of young kids in the house with lots of clothes, so I very rarely have time to do my own. I just throw it in the hamper with everyone elses and hope to god they don't end up in my little sisters clean pile.[/offtopic]

[offtopic] Everyone's different/has had a slightly (or majorly) different upbringing here since there are people from different countries, cities, financial backgrounds etc. I guess I was generalizing to what I generally saw growing up. Sometimes we had enough clothes to fill our own load too! It really just depended on how much (dirty) clothes we had at that moment. But if we combined clothes, it was always because we didn't have enough to make a full load and were trying to prevent wasting water.[/offtopic]

Anyway, I wonder if Dan will be more social for his birthday and do stuff with the merch/stage crew/Martyn+Cornelia or if him and Phil will run off together and get married in Vegas.

Wow Dan. I know you having been writing a lot over the last month but at least make it so the persons knows what it says haha!
I thought I had bad handwriting but no where near how bad Dan's is.
"why cereal" makes sense but the more I look at it. The more it doesn't look like why?

[offtopic]when I lived at home, my mom used to do everyone's washing and dry it all together. That is just how it was.Now that I am living alone, I have no choice but to do it! .[/offtopic]
I would hope do their washing together. It is not like they barely know each other at this point and of course we know they like to share clothes anyway.

Laundry - growing up, everyone threw their clothes in the hamper, and either my mother or I would put a load on each morning and afternoon. Normally I wash my clothes as soon as I get in from work (cos yeuch!) but my washer has a "eco/quick wash" mode to assuage any guilt! More recently I've mostly been living in vest tops and shorts, and getting laundry done when I can.

IATSE/Yellow card info: Yup, "en tour" is the number of people travelling with the show. The rest will probably be people on the books at each venue.
As for makeup, whilst it's fun to imagine sat in chairs having it done for them... No. though I can get behind the cute image of them doing each others... So so few stagey peeps - even leads - have their makeup and pincurls (if needed - now there's a funny thought!) done for them, (except quick changes/touch ups during the show) and someone will be around to "check" it's all applied correctly (woe betide you if it's not!)
Not that even that would be necessary for TATINOF. It's not hard to apply base and powder, after all! (PS for those jealous of Dan's cover-up skills - 1, it's like tar, compared with normal makeup and 2, he'll be wearing a darker shade than usual on-stage (hello lights!) ;) )

No show day today. Although Monday/Tuesday might be a better bet for us. Who the fuck knows though, at this point.

His makeup routine for everyday is different though. In Louise's vlog where it shows him before and after getting ready there's a big difference in his complexion and his under eye circles are gone.

Didn't Phil said in a ls that he does the washing as Dan tend to mix colours with non-colours and made his white t-shirt pink once.

It's definitely (lol @ calling anything about his writing 'definite,' but I'm sure this is what it says): "tall bean why cereal"
Maybe it's Tall, Son, Why, Cereal? Plot twist: Dan has always been the Daddy.

I'm not a DP expert, but I recall something along those lines, yes. And yet Dan acts creeped out by Phil's underwear...cut the crap boys, you've been living together for many years, you obviously do your laundry together

I took laundry home when I went home (cos screw paying to use the crappy machines on campus!) but did it myself. Mum always insisted on ironing it though, - She even took great delight in informing me she'd ironed my work clothes (whyyyyyyyyyy?!) when she came over post-accident.[/offtopic]

So I was asleep and the topic has passed but:

s2g:
tan Dan why cereal

And funny enough, IF there weren't so many cereal references we would probably not know that the last word is cereal.

we'd wash our clothes together but there is no way in hell my mum would allow that to be a thing she always did. especially as ive gotten older, there is no way id go more than a few days without taking my turn to do it

can they please get a writing table to lean on because holding paper in midair to write on is clearly a disaster
