Loving the fact that this thread is basically uniting people over love/hate of avocados

- outside of this forum I’m basically pretending like I have no clue who dan and phil are
- have experimented with psychedelics at a very young age
- went from being an extrovert to a complete introvert in my late teens. I rarely leave the house these days.
- my godfather is a well known writer (prominent in the late 60s)
- wasn't allowed to watch any tv as a child, instead my dad would read me schopenhauer at the age of 10 (for all the wrong reasons), which was absolutely absurd.
-have pretty shitty memories of my childhood in general
- attempted suicide once because of what I considered to be poor academic achievement but I’m pretty much ok now
- have never had a real job
- have dated a lot but have never been in a relationship longer than 3 months
- love avocados

I hope you are feeling whole.
I don't have any strong feels toward avocados but I love me some honeydew.
But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live

Enter Shikari are my absolute faves, def gonna talk about them in the music thread, I love them to bits Glad to see someone that knows them (I went 6 years and a half of my life asking people if they knew them and those people replying that they never heard of them so it's still a bit of a surprise when they do ahah)

Oh yeah, scene queens....that period of time was such a trainwreck in general. I remember when they all suddenly stopped being relevant when Facebook became more popular than MySpace, except for the smart ones like Jac Vanek who got their own clothing lines and such. I do think it's a wise lesson for YouTubers now. They should really be planning ahead for when YouTube is inevitably taken over by the next big thing.I'm definitely glad I avoided ever getting a myspace. God, remember scene queens? I'm still recovering from that.
I was really into The Used and My Chem (also, From First to Last, but they don't really get classified as bandom ever and now I have to constantly avoid Skrillex fans), but I definitely dabbled occasionally in the Panic! fandom, as did achika apparently. I wondering how deep one needed to be into internet bandom to encounter Ryden fic? I know I was sort of surprised when I first heard Dan mention it.
I honestly wasn't that surprised when Dan mentioned Ryden, he was a Panic!fan as a teenager and it was pretty popular ship back in the day. I was sort of surprised when he specifically mentioned the Milk Fic― the nature of fanfiction was so different than it was now, fanfic used to be this dirty secret that you literally had to go digging through the internet for. You also didn't talk about it to people. The thought of him maybe stumbling across /being scarred by the Milk Fic as young teenager is kind of hilarious tbh
I didn't know avocados were such a divisive vegetable...or are they a fruit? What even are they?

Oh and another random fact about me is that my initials are D.P. and since I've joined the phandom I can't look at them the same way.

If we all just traded in our knives for cakes, the world would be a better place.

Ahhh same guys. I'm like 95% vegan I'd say (?) but... chocolate! Melons, of all kinds, however, are clearly the work of Satan and should be either fired into the Sun, or sent to Room 101. #StrongOpinion

joining in on the avocado confusion, love guacamole but hate the texture of actual avocados
also hello to my fellow shorties, nice to know I'm not the only barely-over-5ft person here
and to those who can't swim or ride a bike, also glad I'm not alone there
(I actually had so many swimming lessons growing up it's a wonder I still can't swim... but I just can't bare getting even a tiny bit of water up my nose lol)
also laughing at the person who said they pretend they don't know of Dan and Phil in real life, I kinda do that too none of my irl friends know anything about this strange little youtube obsession of mine hahaha
(oh another also, I'm defo in on that Eurovision hype haha!)

Good job on the veganism, btw. I've recently cut down to just eating fish and no other type of meat, but still eating dairy products etc. I wanna work towards being vegan but it's a (slow, brutal, horrible) process, so kudos to you.

Stakhanov, can't believe we went this many pages without the Jung Myer Briggs types being brought up. I'm an INFJ (Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging), which is apparently rare overall yet quite common in the phandom, at least from what I remember from the discussion in the old forum. I guess intuitive, judgey nerds just fit right in.
