I got my gingerbread hot cocoa today. I freaking love it. It's exactly the kind of spicy I like and not too sweet. I'm gonna ration it.
I also went to look at something on his shop and it redirected me to the joint one - did it always do that? I can't remember it but maybe I just didn't pull up Phil's shop at any point in December, idk. (Dan's also redirects.) I wonder how long they're gonna leave the combined shops since the festive season is definitely over?

FOR Phil that he’s doing a meet and greet by himself?
What if someone does something uncomfy and he has no one to fall back on? Who will he share quick, knowing eye-contact with? Hours on end just on his own? Why am I worried for a 33 year old?

Thanks now I have the mental image of Dan actually there are the meet and greet but just there for Phil's benefit and wearing a vest that says "Personal Support Dan, Do Not Approach."

Maybe the shops are combined for the New Year sales and to just sell off old merchandise. Or maybe they'll decide to just permanently keep the shops combined......
Gosh, I hope people that meet Phil naturally have an easygoing, polite, fun conversation, or even better, with him, but some are naturally awkward and that can be contagious.

Phil is going to be fine. He did really well on his solo vidcon panel last year and he was fine without Dan at discover dogs. Hopefully the success of this event will give him more confidence to try even more projects by himself

I know Dan's shop redirected to the joint one in December, so I'm pretty sure Phil's did too. I don't remember when they separated them again last year, but I guess it was sometime in January?

Last year they kept them combined until the end of jan if I remember rightly, and had a January sale (I’ll never forget that discount code happynewyee, thanks Phil). I thought they might do that this year - I guess they still might, IRL are probably only just getting back to work.
I think Phil will be fine at his M&G; I’m remembering his (admittedly less formal) Europe ones from years ago. He wasn’t quite as famous then perhaps, but he’s also older and more experienced now. Perhaps his manager will go with him like Dan’s did for pride, but either way I think he’ll be fine. I think any ‘This is so sad Alexa play All By Myself’ feels are just me and my perpetual sadness at the end of the D&P era.

I wonder if Dan will attend Vidcon In LA with Phil just for another vacation. I did enjoy his solo stage act last year. If they both attend will they do separate meet and greets? Guess we won’t know for a while.

That would be my sort of luck, so I wouldn’t be surprised; that he goes to one 5000 miles away but not the one 15 minutes from his house. Impossible to speculate, since we don’t know why he’s not attending London, but man that’d be a kick in the pants to his European fans.
I think the most annoying thing about the lottery is that I don’t know who most of the featured creators are; I have to put people I don’t know on the list. I’m not gonna go to their M&G if I get them because I don’t want to be like ‘hi - and you are?’

This lottery thing is stupid - and not being able to swap bracelets is even more stupid. Like, if someone wins a m&g with a creator they don’t like but I do, why can’t we swap? Who cares?
Re: Dan. To be honest with you, I don’t think we’ll see him at vidcon as a featured creator ever again because I have this feeling that he’s done with YouTube for good. It made sense for him to go last year because it was after BIG, but now, I don’t know... I just can’t see him as a youtuber anymore.

Here for the vidcon lottery complain. I know maybe 5 creators and would honestly care to meet 2. But I'm forced to put down 10. Fuck you vidcon I'm only going for Phil and fandom friends not for your shitty system!!
I do wonder if dan will be around but given that Phil got all his stuff on the one day I guess it could just be a quick day in and out without Dan.

Hope you all had a wonderfully festive winter break, whatever you were celebrating! I was mainly celebrating my mum's baking who had made about 57 different varieties of cake.
I also did my 'sit in pyjamas for a week with a tube of prawn cocktail pringles' tradition and played a LOT of Luigis Mansion 3! Turns out when I'm vacuuming in a game I want to clean every single corner, surface and secret area.. shame this doesn't translate to real life. I just defeated the dinosaur boss so I think I'm over half way finished. I also binge watched His Dark Materials and it was amazing!! I want my own mink daemon. The dog gif is a very accurate representation of my last week.
I'm also hyped for another year of AmazingPhil videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions you'd like to see me do this year. If you didn't see my Bob Ross one then you should check it out; I am still finding splatters of impossible to clean paint all over the room. I haven't hung the painting yet but the further away it is the better it looks! Maybe I should put it on a high ceiling?

What annoys me most about the Vidcon lottery system (aside from no swapping thing and the fact that I feel like it fucks over less popular Creators who will be used as filler) is that the list of people doing M&G is not nearly long enough to warrant 10 picks. I picked every person I had ever watched at least one video of and still came up one short. And the majority of these people I kinda knew are not ones I care about enough to actually go stand in a line to meet them. Insanity.

This made me so unreasonably happy inside lol. All content is precious now, which is not a bad thing in that I appreciate his efforts more (especially after DML2 etc). What a sweetheart. I'm really glad he's doing what he loves and we all get to see it.

What does everybody want Phil to do on Youtube this year? I still want a Viewers Choose My Outfits - Quiff Version (Or I’ll accept Soulmate Chooses My Outfits). I always like Sleepless Nights vids. As far as new stuff, some sort of humorous monologue maybe. I’m not that creative so I can’t think of original ideas. Oh, and collabs. Maybe someone coming to Youtube London.

I'd also love to see some short and silly vlog style stuff- go review desserts across London or compare art galleries. Can you imagine Phil trying to describe art to us?

I want Phil to do at least one more DIY hacks/home science experiments, mostly because the hacks video he did last year was great and because dizzy actually sent me a grow your own crystals kit with rocks and weird powder and stuff under the name "DIY amazingphil video", and after doing it I really, really, really want to see Phil do it.
Also +1 on review stuff!! That would be so good. Phil's got such a natural sense of humour that comes out so nicely in moments where he isn't even trying and I adore it, and am always down for more as that is bound to happen several times in that style of videos.

I’m just waking up and in that state my mind went to ‘glitter!’ for some reason. He’s done that twice, though, between glitterfaces and glittery slime, but still, some kind of glittery craft would be fun to see again. Reviewing desserts, that would be fun. Also making pancakes, Phil’s Amazing Pancake Stack layered with all the sweet things he can find, that could be something.

I seem to recall him saying he got some holo taco from Cristine (jealous) - Safiya once did a vid recreating one of Cristine’s nail tutorials (bubble nails), maybe something like that? Obviously it would be A Disaster but that’s sort of the point. (His Norman makeup vid was one of my favourites from last year.)
Otherwise I’d like to see him doing more chaotic, unique things a la Jenna - I loved the wish/glasses/insta hacks vids but loads of youtubers do those; you don’t see many people turning their hair into a hot wheels track, for example, and I’d love to see Phil come up with some hilarious unique things like that. (Goes without saying I’d love to see Dan pop up every now and then like Julien does, like in the pinup or romper videos. Or imagine them doing some chaotic art together like the paint pouring, good grief).
I also love the storytelling vids and would love to see some of those, like the hospital one from 2018.

I didn't get that vibe? Mind you who knows what will happen in a year's time for Phil/Youtube in general, so it could be. I don't think he's hinting at it here though.
