I definitely think Dan is slowly undergoing a less PG13 re-branding - I am a little bit worried though. It hasn't always worked for youtubers. I used to watch Dan Brown or 'pogobat' on youtube. He tried something new, it failed, and after a few re-branding attempts he just couldn't get back to where he was before, barely breaking 10,000 views on each vid. I worry about something similar happening to Deppy if they tried to drastically re-brand. But at the same time I want them to change to more grown-up content. Maybe that's why Dan is doing it so slowly? Idk

Pogobat got me started watching Youtubers. And now he's not doing Youtube anymore. Glad to see I'm not the only one who remembers him.

Anyway, I was kinda shocked with the pic. But does he really vape or was that just for the lulz?

About the rebranding, I think they'd really do it at some point. I'm scared for what will happen if they do and it won't sit well with their casual users. Hopefully at that point, those who are deep in the would be able to sustain them.

It's just a water vaporizer for sure (saw these before), most people who sing/work with their voices have to use these. I would find the brand for you but I'm too lazy to go through countless pictures, lol.

I believe most "real" singers use it for their voice before a performance unless they are already in a humid climate. I remembered watching docs of some singers insist having a steam shower stall in their hotel room to help them.

@ RiriPandaHeart2 It's called a nebulizer. The one he has is portable


It's mainly for people with asthma and other respiratory problems (but is also apparently used for singers/performers to keep their vocal chords moist ...sorry lol)

Dan's videos used to be more adultish tho, imo anyway. Like up until 2014 maybe, when he dropped a lot of the biting sarcasm and openly swearing because people never understood him and took everything he said seriously... That turned into current DINOF: advice giving older brother type rolemodel to teens who likes memes and animu. A rebranding to more grown up stuff would be welcome because I've been ready for him to move on from that snooze fest since forever, but yeah I dunno if it's a wise business decision. Also it'd be more of a going back to his roots kinda thing than a rebrand imo.

I hope he reincorporates some of the pre-2014 dan. I generally like creative swearing, but I love sarcasm.

Aw he gave tickets to the Guild Wars people, that's so adorable. And also kind of hilarious if they're not that aware of his content (like to them he's just some internet-famous guy that they know enjoys their game, so getting a ... lol. Where to begin with context)

Thanks to everyone that clarified that it wasn't a real vape. I have no idea how vape looks like actually. I've only seen people smoking it from afar. I learn more here than I do observing people surrounding me

Are people actually shocked when going to TATINOF without knowing any of their content? I took my best friend who is not familiar with their content and he really enjoyed it. He also wasn't thrown off by anything in the show, he actually began to watch their content more! The only complaint he had was how loud the audience was

Also I can't believe people thought that was vape on twitter, my grandma uses that for her asthma so I knew right away! I can't wait till the Hollywood show- I'm curious in which big Youtubers are coming. I know Tyler will probably come and Catrific and Joey......

I was thinking more along the lines of just confused rather than shocked but who knows.

His insta has been so using with his getting used to LA I hope Connor comes too and maybe even Mamrie, Hannah and Grace. They might not be DP trash but I'm sure they're interested.
