When You Can't Sleep At Night by phansdick - This is an au, insomniac Dan and artist Phil. There's something really sweet in this, a version of Dan in particular that is nicely done.

Hey, here are some fanfics they I enjoyed on Wattpad
http://my.w.tt/UiNb/UdQwpuYeFu "Memories"
http://my.w.tt/UiNb/9JNaSU7eFu "Fate" (Memories sequel)
https://www.wattpad.com/story/7528291 "Human" (One of my faves - the plot is amazing!)
http://my.w.tt/UiNb/SWlPV3hfFu "Psycho" (Also has amazing plot - Dan is a serial killer and I usually don't like fanfics like that but this is definitely worth reading)

I became aware of The Reject by blueberryphancakes some time ago, but the fic summary didn't interest me. I just read the first chapter though, because I'm a big fan of the author, and I really enjoyed it!

From the author's notes: "What can I say? That TomSka video got me thinking about what it would be like to have multiple people with Dan's face running around."

I haven't finished it yet (32258 words, 23 chapters), but I figured I'd rec it for anyone who wanted to join me for the ride.

I took your suggestion, and read it. I don't normally go for AU's but that one was good. Made me cry a little bit, but I enjoyed it. Thanks! :thumb:

In case you're not subscribed to snsk on ao3, or don't check in on their uploads obsessively frequently, here's danandphilKINKS (E rated kink exploration fic have mercy)

Just read the great 4th part of the Days in the Married Life of Dan and Phil series by umathermanjustwatchedmehavesex and the whole thing is great but this last one is a future rambly drunk Dan liveshow and it was so so good! Makes up for the current liveshow drought for a bit

YES
I love this series, it's so well written and also so realistic (that makes me sad, because it's only fanfiction ).
Anyway, 10/10, Drunk Dan is amazing here. :D

This is so cute, thanks for suggesting it! I thought the shot-by-shot format it's written in would feel weird to read but not at all.

Let the Salt Dry by hunterfics - one of the most stunning stories I've read in a long time. It follows the 2009 timeline almost exactly, but Dan is trans.

This was probably my favorite phanfic I've ever read. Thank you for suggesting it.

I'm absolutely floored by how exquisite and beautiful this was.

I was wary of posting this since it's a WIP but it's so good that it deserved a rec. Also the author finalized an uploading schedule so I'm really excited (every Monday). This fic really explores asexuality and is so well written the I find myself rereading chapters daily.

Quick summary: Dan is a movie star, Phil a cynical PHD student. They meet and although they don't start off on the right foot they become fast friends. Cue adorable twitter wars and awkward moments that all lead to a very confused Phil. (I don't want to give too much away JUST READ IT- you won't regret it)

Its a good oneshot, reality based fic that a little bit angsty and a lot cute.

YASSS! I am in love with this writers ability to make me feel love without physicality. I literally scream and do a happy dance everytime it's updated but so far I feel so content with what's already out. Also love that they finally confirmed new uploading schedule so I don't have a heart attack every time they post

but you'll never break by dantiloquent - this is a hybrid of crossover and inspired by HTGAWM, with Dan and Phil loosely in the roles of Connor and Oliver. It's really well written and has a happy ending, so I'm sold.

I think we read this around the same time last night (I've been leaving my comments under Melissa--I don't have an AO3 account yet). It was incredible! Highly recommend!

I set aside some alone time to read this last night because I had a feeling it would reduce me to a puddle of emotions, and I was right. I'm still mopping up bits of myself.

Of Paparazzi and Succulents 10k words, by phansdick Alternative Universe, where Dan is an actor and Phil is a florist - fluff story, from strangers to friends, to lovers.

Aw this one was nice. I liked it, just a simple little domestic. Those are some of my favorites. Thanks for the rec.

This is one of my favorite places to post in

I'm not sure if anyone ever recommended this but its a beauty. It's an AU and follows DP and their relationship from teens-their late 50's. It really deals with relationship struggles and the maintenance of love after a long life with someone. Also the difficulties of adopting, raising kids and acting as good parents. What made me love it is how it wasn't like all idealistic fics but actually explored a relationship after the "happily ever after". I was craving a long fic that really encapsulated real life problems and this did the trick. It's a long one so prepare to sit in bed all day but I couldn't stop reading till the end!

Another WIP that I'll probably spend many a day refreshing for new chapters:Love Is In The Air (Please Make It Stop) by parentaladvisorybullshitcontent.

From the summary: "In which Phil works in a coffee shop and Dan's a customer who may or may not have been cursed by Cupid. Either way, there are an awful lot of kissing couples around..."
