Is this interesting? Do you think they are going to try and adopt one of the best covers instead of using their current one....? Or are they just trying to engage people to promote the book? Probably the latter....

Reading the Terms of Use, it being used as a cover is a possibility not completely disregarded. However, and from a practical point of view, it is difficult to change the book cover this late.

Uploading images that are illegal, obscene or of a defamatory nature is strictly prohibited. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against all claims, costs, damages or expenses incurred by us or for which we may become liable as a result of any claims that the images you upload, or the images you create through use of the App, or any subsequent publication of the same, infringe the personal or proprietary right of any other person or business.

You acknowledge that the publication of the images, created through your use of the App, via Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter or any other third party social media platforms will be subject to the terms of use of such platforms.

It's probably to engage the phandom. There were hate posts in tumblr about the 2nd book (kids, no one is forcing you to buy their merch.) so I guess it's good to have this. And besides, there a lot of good artists in the phandom.
Ugh. The cover template is better than the actual cover of the book. It's like a movie poster.

Lol it's just for fun and promotion, what could somebody possibly upload that would make them go 'hmm yes fuck the graphic designer this is what we were missing' with the tools given. Actually I'd buy it twice if they used the 'go to hell' edit Dan retweeted. But seriously?

Do we have any idea when they're off to Aus? Is this a distraction to keep us occupied while they get out of the country? No?
(and sorry bluewho, I sound like a douche in my last post, I've had coffee now and am back to supporting conspiracy theories keep them coming).

Also Phil is overdue for another video, I wonder when he'll get around to it (will they ever put the kangaroo onesie to use is the real question).

If they make a calendar again mayhaps we will see the onesie in there. "Dan and Phil travel the world" or something. Have they made that theme yet? I hope to see it on a vid as well. ( I confess my mind definitely went to furry-on-a-budget joke at first.)

Seriously! It's so much better!! It even lets them keep the shit-post lettering which now looks sorta cool and quirky instead of obnoxious on that plain white background.

Guild chat was very good, he sounds like a pretty hardcore player defeating all the raid bosses. I'm so casual I didn't realise something they spoiled till I logged in earlier and saw it in the next bit of the story ingame. Cool that he actually got people together, seems so anti-Dan in person (un-Dan?) Then again he and Phil have done that with us

His character is called Gabriel btw, I found it on a guild site a while ago.

I liked the guild wars chat. Makes me kinda jealous that I don't have something that I'm into that much. I really like Rubi. She's charming, and seems to actually be a bit of a Dangirl. Cute. The guy though seems so unamussed by Dan that it's hard to watch. I actually covered him up on the screen, so I couldn't see him. Haha. I think Dan and Rubi could really enjoy nerding out together for a good long while. I hope they still are in contact. You think he would let her into his guild or whatever it is? For some reason I get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that Dan has this interest outside of the deppy universe and that Phil is not in it. I don't know why, but it does.

am I alone in this?

Gabriel ey? Where did you find him? I must see his character profile for research reasons *cough* It looks like you can only search players in-game (it's been ages since i logged into my guild wars 2)?

He's about as deep in as you can get. 2000+ hours, a server (or world?) first on a raid boss. I love how he's apologetically nerdy about it.
He probably has spend more time in GW 2 than editing his youtube videos

@winston at blocking the guy. I'm pretty sure he actually liked Dan, he's just strikes me as an rather phlegmatic type of person

Yeah, they seemed to get along fine, but when the guy wasn't talking he just looked so done with it that I couldn't handle it. His resting bitch face was on fleek as it were.

Also, Stakhanov if and when you get the details on "Gabriel" I bet a few others on here may like to know too. You know for science.
