I had forgotten about lubegate! What a time to be alive.

My fave thing about it it's that plain lube doesn't seem to be enough for these guys. Tropical flavors or tingly wow.

Also that's a subpar foundation, they need to be friends with some actual makeup people who know what they're doing. Phil definitely will have to go high end to find a color that matches his ghostly complexion.

If I remember right at the end the most plausible item seen through the reflection was the Totoro plushie....

Further explanation on the neck conspiracy theory.

In his video about personal space, Dan describes his aversion to neck-touching at 1:15 -

"I don't know why, but I can't handle people touching my neck. It feels like I'm being invaded, and it's creepy. But seriously, if you touch my neck, I will karate chop you. I don't know why, but I can't handle it. It's...probably a g-spot or something."

So yeah, he straight-up says it's probably a g-spot, and although he says it like a joke....

At the end of the video, Adam touches his neck, and he screws up his face and bears it for a few moments, but eventually flinches, bats Adam's hand away, and gets up, declaring: "It's like a thousand slimy paedophiles touching me at the same time. No offense."
(Note that he doesn't choose something gross like a slimy snail or a slimy octopus, he chooses something sexually gross: a slimy paedophile)





Now in this Radio 1 album chart video, Phil is supposed to distract Dan by touching him. He touches him in many places, but not in the neck, which would be kind of an obvious place to touch if being touched there just makes Dan cringe: There is ample evidence that Dan doesn't actually care at all when Phil touches his neck:

Phil strokes Dan's neck while trying to find his glabella, Dan keeps laughing and doesn't flinch.
1:01 - Phil playfully attacks/claws at Dan's neck, and Dan just smiles.
0:10 - When Phil goes to paint Dan's neck, Dan lifts his chin to leave his neck totally exposed (unlike in, say, the Adam video where he lifts his shoulder and cringes to protect it)...and it's up to read his facial expression.
2:20 - 30 full seconds of neck touching. Dan is just kind of smirking/smiling the whole time.

In this video, Phil randomly strokes Dan's neck with one finger and Dan freaking gasps.
4:11 - In PINOF 4, Phil is told to touch Dan's neck and he goes for it. Dan leans offscreen and there's a jump cut. After the jump cut, Phil's pulls back his hand (from where Dan is offscreen) and he sits there smirking.
1:57-2:03 - Of course, if you believe the "Dan's neck is a g-spot" theory, it's quite clear what happened during that jump cut.

In other words: he loved it and wants to do it more.

honestly, yeah? they are/were two of the more common flavours, through i think it's just the cherry one that's made now (+ new ones). durex is probably the most popular large brand, and they only have so many flavours, and the average store only stocks a couple types, so it makes sense that people who bought flavoured lube would have the same type.
+ i thought the blue one was feel (ie the most basic one jfc what happened to u two) not tingle, based on recent uk packaging but apparently tingle isn't recommended for anal sex too idk

I must admit jonquill being Dan wouldn't be surprising at all. "Their" posts just gave the vibes of being statements, not opinions or random thoughts that an ordinary forum poster would have (but thats just my opinion ).

The fact Jonquill stated things like they were facts that were not public knowledge is actually what has me convinced he couldn't be Dan because would he really be dumb enough to act like he had inside knowledge when pretending to be a fan?

Like for example they made a post about the V--day "prank" where they talked about how it was filmed when Dan went to visit Phil in January that year with some other random unconfirmed details also stated as facts and all of which neither Dan or Phil have ever said publicly so no fan could know was true.
And he also spoke a few times about how close Dan really was to his family and how often he really visited them which again is "facts" a fan couldn't know for sure. I'm not saying Dan isn't close to them but if he doesn't mention visiting we can't say how often he does or doesn't.

Dan may be sneaky enough to go and put stuff he wants fans to think anonymously on a forum but would he also be stupid enough to not pretend to be a normal fan guessing at what's true while doing it?

Plus they also said some stuff Dan wouldn't want fans discussing at all like at one point compared how rich Phil's family was vs Dan's and said less then flattering things about Phil's editing skills (I think in defence of Dan's but still I don't think Dan would do that).

And I am not some Jonquill stalker by the way lol, just when the board moved over here and stuff was getting deleted I finally stopped procrastinating and read through the old GG threads I'd been meaning to read for a long time so a lot of the old stuff is now really fresh in my head. And Jonquill's stuff in particular stands out because it always caused a bit of drama.

I never thought that Jonquil was Dan. They may have been defending Dan, but Dan would never really defend himself in such a way when he is so naturally self deprecating. They also seemed very much like a stan to me, rather than anyone who knew D+P (even though they pretended to know personal info)
