I just looked at that, and the comments on those videos are the most disgusting thing I've seen. Also, I looked him up bc I was curious about why he is so disliked, and turns out that he is racist, homophobic, sexist, and generally a horrible person all around.sweetmm wrote:Moost youtubers hate this guy, but I follow him for all the dirt in youtube world. In case you guys haven't heard of it, he follows and report on Toby recent drama from Day 1

Incidents like this one are so confusing, because you have to treat the victims like everything they say is true (simply because doing anything else is so damaging), but at the same time you can't treat the alleged rapist/abuser like his guilt is proven.
The concept of "innocent until proven guilty" is an important part of justice and can't be disregarded.
And that's problematic in itself, because rape/abuse is so hard to prove. Even if the nature of the abuse would allow some prove through a doctor's examination, i can't imagine myself letting a stranger touch me (even a doctor) right after being abused. You can't expect anyone to do that.
It's just so sad how much victim blaming/shaming and misogyny is unearthed when these things happen.
It's even more sad that i don't even have to read the comments under the videos from possible victims to know how horrible they are. In fact i have learned to avoid comments under every video that could provoke misogynists and that's the sadest thing of all.
(Even under the recent abuse videos where men talked about being abused, there were several people who managed to blame women for the sexism in the perception of victims. #logic)
Thank you for talking about this here. Since i don't read comments anywhere (for the reasons above) i haven't heard any opinions other than youtubers'.

I agree completely wtfamidoinghere, it's a bit of a conundrum really. all I would say is that it's obviously okay to not blindly believe everything someone says (and that works both ways), and it's okay to be doubtful of both what the accused and the accuser/s say(s)/claim(s) so long as nobody's aggressive about it. the problem is when lynch mobs begin to hurl abuse and death threats at the potential victims (and in a similar way at the accused) - which is just outright plain disgusting behaviour. it's also, like you say, all the more difficult in these kinds of situations because what proof can there be? we have nothing to go on but their word, so we all must be careful in that regard not to make rash judgements but also to consider everything carefully. but still I can never get over how hurtful and horrible the abuse received by the accusers has been and continues to be, it's absolutely horrendous and knocks me sick.

Bear in mind that I'm not into youtube enough to make points or to have a real understanding of what's going on...but have enough abusers or rapists had problems from a law p.o.w or others youtubers?
In my opinion is a dangerous line between I believe you victim and I doubt you, but that's because some stupid people try to feel special inventing stories and complicating a situations that' are already difficult to deal with. If someone it's abused obviously they will try to hide it and for rape the majority of victims will not go to the police or go after having a shower .
I only know of meghan camarena because she tried to be shitty with some youtubers I used to watch, but when I saw her thread on the old site I was shocked to believe what she said to whitney milam about luke conrad...now if it's true, if a woman and a youtuber says that I can't begin to imagine what is the real situation and how shitty it is.
