They move out of the flat the next month. Knick-knacks are devided, furniture is taken apart. Phil buys a house not far away from his parents, starts a hamster/snail farm, and his YT series about a hamster that befriends a snail, falls in love with him and then loses him to an unexplained falling oit is the biggest hit YT has seen since people learned to scream at videogames.

Dan tries to keep his channel up, he does. But without Phil, his heart's just not in it. He uploads his "Goodbye Internet" video on the last day of 2016 and goes on to sign the biggest YT names out there under DHLimited, scoring deals other networks can't even dream of and becoming the fiercest business man in England, eventually completing his law degree at Oxford.

Four, five years of empty success - Dan's nearing thirty. Life should be good, but he's been on his own just long enough to realize what a good thing they had before.

Phil's tried to move on, but nothing ever quite stuck. He spends a lot of time with his friends and their kids, trying to ignore the gnawing loneliness. He thinks about picking up the phone once in a while but all he sees of Dan is the outward success and he always ends up telling himself Dan's better off.

Then the phone rings one day and it's a number he doesn't recognize but a voice he could never in a million years forget. Dan misses him. Tries to be casual about it, asks if Phil will be in London any time soon.

Phil says yes. Doesn't mention that the only real reason would be to see Dan. They have their coffee, shy and stilted for maybe ten minutes before they fall into old habits and it shouldn't be that easy, right? But it is. A coffee turns into lunch that turns into a walk down the street until their feet hurt but neither want to say goodbye and then someone suggests dinner and by the time the restaurant is going dark Dan insists Phil should just come back to his and there's a moment back in Dan's flat where it hurts to see Dan's life without him but the look on Dan's face is all he needs.

They start out slow, together, again but it's always been zero to sixty for them and they are both so famous now that they can't hide it for long - and they decide not to hide it at all. They're Dan and Phil again, older and wiser and newly made without anything to hide, and it's an inevitable slide back into a re-merging of their professional selves as well.

Socialblade take info about management company from the youtube video webpage code. So if the info on youtube is legit then Dan is his own management. I checked Phil's web page code and it is still says ChannelFlip. It is really interesting situation.

Oh god, I am recently starting to try to write a fanfic about Dan and Phil goes separate ways after tatinof, 10 years later Dan is nominated for best supporting actor in comedy tv show for the golden globe and about to become the next John Oliver and then in the night of the gala he meets Phil who is in the production team for the new edgar wright movie and divorced with a daughter. First they pretend to be normal distant friends then they realised exactly how much they miss each other so they have angsty sex in the cleaning cupboard.

Through the YouTube API probably, it's meant for web developers to use data on their own sites. I used it for my final course project to show graphs comparing view count etc, but I didn't notice that info (also wasn't looking for it, there is a variety of info you can get about a channel). Documentation takes a little reading, but it's Google so it's fairly easy to use compared to a lot of APIs.

Now that's a lot simpler than delving into APIs. I didn't realise the info was in the page code itself Pretty sure opening the console and following the image source links is how the people running the HQ image Tumblr find the high-res original pictures too.

That's what I was thinking since they announced it! And all these shows in these pretty obscure places (ok maybe that's just me, I don't know anything about the US and thought Hazel and Phil did pretty well there with the states)…there are quite some shows with only half the tickets sold, isn't this gonna be awkward as heck?! I've just had a look at the second Toronto show and it looks about half sold to me (probably a bit more then that) and it's at a venue that seats around 3000 so half full is still around 1500 people. So there's about 1500 people paying between $55-115 to be there (and most of the sold seats are in the more expensive areas) and other then paying for the venue for a second night that particular show probably doesn't have a lot of other extra expenses to D&P as they had to travel there for the sold out show the night before anyway. I'd imagine they are still very much in the green with that show even if it is only half sold.

I've just had a bit of a click about at the various shows on the tour the website and I do think some of the shows that aren't marked as sold out actually are as when you go through to ticketmaster there doesn't seem to be any seats available and some of the others are practically sold out so I do think there's more sold out/close-to-sold-out shows then there are half empty venues.

I really don't have a clue what the expense of a tour is but I'd assume renting the venues/the travelling expenses/insurance etc don't come in cheap but I have a feeling even though the tour is not a complete sell-out D&P will still be making a big profit off it. Plus who knows how much they have saved by doing all the organising themselves instead of paying a company to do stuff like that.

This being said though I also don't get why so many shows in Florida.

(i always find that there's a lot of Dan videos I haven't watched before). Super interesting video. It totally shows how Dan embraces the internet culture. It is weird how he's being self referential, like indirectly acknowledging that people have fandoms about him. I also never knew that Dan had Bryony in that video.

I guess this means that socialblade was right about Dan. Though I'm still not convinced about some of the other channels under the new network, that just really throws me off. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Which is hard for me to do, since I'm a curious person
