Dan jokingly referring to something as "his and his" has been sticking in my brain since yesterday. Like... I don't think he would have said that even last year! Between that and the random NordVPN fiance comment and everything else they've been saying lately, I am so excited and scared for what June's going to bring!!

And yes, I think the new hair really works for Phil! (His mum is iconic for her reaction, though.) I did honestly really like seeing his natural hair colour, but it was interesting to learn he was just planning on going blond this whole time.

Liking Phlond Phil quite a bit, actually. It's a big change from before but I sort of feel like the color suits his skin and emphasizes his cheekbones ... also it works better with the new hairstyle more than the redish brown with gray that he had for the last several months.

The Fiance thing stood out to me as well.

I'm convinced that the "fiance" line was in reference to something that got cut

Can anyone tell me how people found out that the golden pig video had been recorded before they had made the poll? I'm not on twitter so I didn't see

It had something to do with an event that was happening in the dragon game. When they showed them playing the game it showed how many days of that event were still left or something like that and someone who actually plays the game was then able to figure out that the video was pre-recorded based on that.

My theories for the things they've got coming that they've both hinted at:

- another joint tour, but markedly different from their previous shows. (I don't think they'd go on tour again unless they think they have something totally new and unique to offer.)
-Phil has written a book, fiction or choose-your-own-adventure style.
-A partnership with the What do you Meme game company to make another game
-A partnership with whoever makes DragonCity to make a mobile game
-A podcast
-A new series called Dan and Phil and Dungeons and Dragons where they play DnD with PJ, Sophie, and friends (yeah ok this one is just wishful thinking, but it'd be FUN)

I want all of the above. Though selfishly another tour is what I'd be interested in the least, because I doubt they'd even come anywhere near me and it would likely affect the frequency of videos, which is what I care about the most. Though they did a surprising amount of videos while on the II tour so who knows.
I would love a podcast or live shows of some sort because I just love hearing them yap about random stuff. Not sure how much preparation ahead that would need though.
But if they're spending a lot of time on it ahead of time, it definitely feels like something they are creating and then releasing to the world rather than something that will continue to be created, such as podcast. Sadly.

i'm getting stressed about all of this announcement teasing, i'd hate to get my hopes up for a tour but it's definitely too late bc my hopes are up

so curious about what the format would be in this day and age, any guesses?? for them i always feel like the less scripted and more organic the better, like a loose outline with pre-planned bits

one thing i remember about tatinof that i loved was the fan craft segment. my friend and i made potatoes with their fringes (so 2015 humor lol) and it got in the show and then in dapgo! that was major for me back in the day haha

haven't been on here in ages but i just caught myself up a bit because i'm also driving myself crazy wondering about what is coming, espeically with it being pride month.

i'd love to know everyone's opinions on a hard launch being a possibility. i've seen a lot on tumblr and twitter and no one has really mentioned it here. i never thought it would happen, i still have a hard time thinking that it WOULD, but then teasing something coming leading up to pride month is giving me a lot of memories of their behavior in the years leading up to 2019 when we all KNEW it was coming and simultaneously really didn't think it would ever happen. and now i do think it is possible.

the thing that really made me log in to post though is the "draft" text. due to it being a text message, not an email. not a link, i know that it is not THAT long. which really REALLY immediately when i was watching this video on the beach with my friends made me think it must be an insta caption. for me right now that is the platform that would make sense for a caption or post of that length. obviously not a tweet. obviously not a script of any kind. and therefor makes me theorize more about an actual hard launch. atp i really feel like its happening now or never. and i always assumed never but idk. do we really think they'd be teasing a board game this long? it just feels like whatever it is is soooo secretive but they want us to know its coming soooo bad and now its june....and i am just thinking a lot of things.

Is it a text message and not a link? It's too blurred for me to be certain but in the video of what Dan and Phil text each other for last year, they sent each other google doc links to the draft of the comeback video and that has a little preview picture above it. But I really can't tell.

even though it's blurry it definitely looks to me more like a long text message rather than a link.

anyways, I don't know, I go back and forth on whether a hard launch is an imminent possibility. I lean towards yes but they still sometimes say things that make me go "hmm maybe not"

Even if it's a short text and not a link it could just be the announcement for a bigger thing, right? The hard launch possiblity hadn't even crossed my mind but I somehow doubt it. They seem content enough with the way things are now in that area. Honestly I have no clue but I'm leaning more towards boardgame. Maybe they got inspired by all of these boardgames on DAPG and I mean they did talk about Truth Bombs when they played the Mean Girls version so it might have already been in the works then and that's how they got the idea for the video.

On a very different note that last video inspired me (somehow) to go out and buy some mushroom soup/cream of mushroom whatever that is. It can't be that bad.

When he told the anecdote about Dan waving to him from across the city my immediate reaction was "wow that's kind of stupid" and then I immediately felt bad because, like, it's cute but seriously how did they think that would work
"In the next month" is extremely vague, since we're still in the beginning of June it *could* mean the current month but who knows, really.
Once again, this seems like a filler video from Phil and I do at least wish he would put in more effort into choosing more varied and interesting questions but oh well. His focus is on DAPG right now and it shows.
As for the hard launch, I just can't see it happening. I'm of the opinion that one of the reasons why they're more open right now is precisely because of plausible deniability. They don't have to downplay their roles in each other's lives without having to confirm or deny anything and they get to avoid potential invasive questions and unwanted attention.

Whether they share more about their relationship in the future or not, I think there’s virtually no chance that that’s what they’ve been teasing.

I don’t really have a guess as to what it is - just not that. Haha.

A tour? Maybe. Dan has said before that’s something he really enjoys doing.

A board game? Would make sense with their DAPG focus.

A professionally made version of teenage Phil’s video game? How cool would that be?! And it fits with DAPG.

Some kind of video series, maybe pride themed? Maybe. I could kinda see it.

I wish it was liveshows are coming back but I guess that’s not it because that doesn’t really take preparation.

The plausible deniability they have seems like it's a really good thing for them, yeah. I'm glad they're sticking with what works best for them in spite of the pressure. (Though I won't pretend I wouldn't be thrilled if they did hard-launch, lol.)

I'm in the same boat as Phil with regards to Pride. The quarantine era has given me permanent anxiety about mass gatherings like that. Which is a bummer! I miss Pride. Maybe some day I will force myself to face my fears. And then I'll probably get horrifically sick, knowing my luck.

I 100% agree. I truly can't see them announcing anything about a romantic relationship while they're both "active" online again (unless funds are really dire, but perhaps that's rude of me to say). What I don't understand is why they'd take a risk teasing an announcement of anything, knowing how passionately their fans want relationship news...this is just going to set everyone up for disappointment, no matter how unreasonable the fans' hopes were. Especially if it's something that's going to involve fans paying for something - we've seen how disappointed everyone gets at being "relationship-baited" for money. But idk, it all always seems to work out in their favor. Both regularly clickbait almost exclusively now, so I don't have any hopes up at all.

I think they are very used to fans having that expectation no matter what they do (hence the frequent clickbait), and fans are also very used to that expectation not being met. But if Dan and Phil want to tease an announcement while having made it clear before that they don't want to publicly label their relationship, I think it's on the fans if they get disappointed by it. I don't think Dan and Phil should refrain from building anticipation for something they're doing just because some people might get their hopes TOO high

I think it's extremely unfair to Dan and Phil as creators to expect that whatever they're teasing has to do with their relationship as if their dating life is the only interesting thing about them. They should be able to tease projects and be publically excited about whatever they're working on without fans jumping to the conclusion that they're "getting married for real this time!!1!@!"
