yes I am in for the fashion police!!!!!
also for the ads that such a good idea like an ad for olive garden with Phil's quote "best place I have ever eaten, so cool, I am obsessed" and Dan "ugh"
omg like the candles thing someone did, you guys remember that? I bet we could get a lot of content out of liveshows.

I would love to have a bit where a few people write what their favorite outfits were / debate about chosen ones, loved the idea!
also, I'll not say what I'll write today, is that okay? I find that when I limit myself I always end up with nothing so I'll just write a bit today at night when I have more time and tomorrow I'll say what I can contribute for know and for the future, okay?

Suggestion: A page/column entitled 'Editing Tips? Editing Tips'. It can go both way, either literally a page of real editing tips, or it can be relationship advice page. Lol.
[offtopic]If this is a success, I might put it in my cv. Hahahaha.[/offtopic]

I would love to say my piece about phil in dark shirts with stretched collars (like one his punk edits and why I was a weird kid 2 videos), I just died when I watched those videos.
also: you can put me into the 30 ways (or more) to entertain themselves on a cramped bus if you guys think it's a good idea for the magazine, I swear I'll make it phan-agnostic with very few hints.

Oh oh. Quick question. Does magazine in UK/US have like a relaxing page where it's just a page of crossword puzzle or sudoku or something like that? Because I really would like to make one.

thank you everyone! I'm very shy with sharing my creative things so your nice comments mean a lot!
LurkingTrash wrote:
edit: greatnessflicker thank you for this! you actually made something that will fit very well in a magazine, I wasn't even thinking about doing quick and precise content like that, I was already angsting over writing something big to fit a whole page
thank you! The plant thing was only because of your original suggestion!
Okay, as for what I can contribute. I have about a year's worth of experience in copyediting and copywriting for a magazine professionally*, so I would love to help edit the written stuff. I don't actually think an editor needs to have any professional experience with English, but I just say that because my ability to write for publication is the only skill of mine that I have confidence in. Also, any non-native speakers do not need to worry about the language barrier :^)
I mess around on photoshop for fun, so I contribute to that (perhaps alongside Poe?), as well. Although I'll need some fine-tuning. I just noticed that the "p" in "improve" and the "l" in "relationship" in my plant page bleed into each other. ugh
As for actual writing, I'm not that creative despite my degree. However, writing the plant thing was fun, and I should challenge myself more, so I'd love to contribute an article or two. I'll get back to you all when I think more on it.
Plus, I'll only be working 40hrs/week this summer (if that), so I am willing to take on some responsibility.
hunnyftw wrote:I think the most important function of this whole project is to entertain us. If you take this approach, it follows that we shouldn't worry about who will eventually read it (deppy included), as long as it's fun for us. I would go for "include whatever anybody wants to write, within bounds of reason of course, maybe not serious unironical top/bottom discussions ty very much" approach.
agreed! we need to find that sweet balance between "organized" and "fun." The last thing I'd want is for this to turn into work, haha.
Also, I think we should cull from what IDB has already created, with the authors' permission, of course. Exactly what daphenaxa said. We could include the what's-in-dan's-hair-meme, oqua's fics and fake DM's, and if we do a TATINOF review section, people have already posted about their experiences. Same for the conspiracy theories section. All it would take is to do a little bit more digging into the posts already created and coming up with something a bit more polished. Find one or two or people really invested in #busgate and ask them to contribute their findings of the bus layouts and that email that was sent lol.
daphenaxa wrote:
- maybe some social and political comments. like use what dan and phil would have said and that's listed on the thread and link it to some news events?
I'd love to be responsible for this, though since you started the thread it's your call! :^) or we could collaborate!
*the alarming amount of typos in my posts (and my tendency to disobey rules of prescriptive grammar such as capitalization) suggests otherwise, but IDB, twitter, and tumblr are the only place I let myself make mistakes. I promise that I can perform well when I actually get myself into that mindset!

daphenaxa wrote:- a cooking page with recipes of what Dan and Phil eat to cook it at home???
I think this could be really funny... with as much as they tweet about/mention specific foods there could be a whole page of recipes of stuff they've eaten/stuff they like i'm sensing there should be a recipe involving "ribena"
I love to cook and I'm pretty decent at finding/adapting recipes on the internet so I could compile some! Just give me some ideas. Also I'm terrible at design/layout stuff so if y'all want me to do it I'd need someone to help me make them look pretty on a page. Just let me know! I'm fairly new to being an "in depth" D&P fan so I'd love to contribute how I can!
Edit @daphenaxa ah shit I just read through the rest of the posts! Haha let me know if you need help!

How about a page of 'what happened to...?' where we discuss impossible theories of some things they mentioned/showed us once or more but where never seen again, like the guinea pig t-shirt, what end did the leather t-shirt meet, if they still have the water shoes and the fake piercings, things like that? maybe to go near the conspiracies theories but not quite as deep as them.

This is really cool! I'm kind of inexperienced with designing stuff and I just now am learning the basics of using Photoshop but I'd love to help out. I was thinking I could maybe do some small illustrations for oqua's fanfictions or something of the like, nothing too huge but instead a visual aid to the story. If you guys have something you'd like me to illustrate just link it here or paste it or something.

daphenaxa and LurkingTrash I've always loved giving my friends some advise during their clothes shopping so maybe I could try and contribute my unfounded opinions to the fashion page. Phil in dark shirts is a must, together with forgotten pieces of clothing (leather shirts where art thou?) However, I know next to nothing about designing a page so I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to make it look somewhat acceptable
(I can typeset them properly, I just handwrote this one for speed)

I was inspired by katybetts to say this so kudos to her but what if one of the puzzles on the puzzle page was some kind of rebus but with things the boys have teweeted a lot? For example Phil tweets a lot about breakfast and cereal and pancakes so it could say something like 1.What does Phil steal from Dan? A: Cereal and so on and get some kind of cute/ exciting new word/ result whatever it is called in english, related to the phandom. Or OH maybe the word 'phandom; could be the result to that, that would be fun. Can you tell I'm excited for this?

I'd love to contribute to the editing/ photoshop/ polishing it all up part alongside with you  I will try to contribute mostly with ideas and design/layout but that #busgate really looks good so I might get into that too.

If you're looking for illustrations, hmu, I actually wouldn't mind the inspiration because I want to get back into painting but I'm in a rut lol. (I've been itching to draw Danye ngl)

I was thinking a quiz, ala the chair personality quiz in tabinof but instead it would be:
"What Will be said During Your Pre-Show Meet and Greet"
I think it could be kind of funny, and we all know they have a semi-script each time. I'd love to start working on it, but I might need some photoshop/graphic design help eventually.
