alittledizzy i agree with all you said!
Loved this video so much it felt quite different and like we got some "new" aspects of their dynamic (or at least some we don't get to see very often), like that babadook moment .
That ending too..."how to accept your boyfriend's interest in pornography" and Dan going "furry" right after Phil said it was him in the picture... lmao ok
edit : oops top of the page with a dumb post, living up to that living flop branding

The camera position of this video and the Zelda video is exactly the same so they were filmed on the same day (you move the camera a tad when you take out the SD card; generally their framing is slightly different in every video). In case anyone cares about that. More proof that they were/are busy?
Phil’s litle grey hairs looked the same too (didn’t see them in the #spon vid).
Loved it, could’ve happily watched them playing it for twice as long! Hope they play again - going to rewatch now

I also feel like Dan took the comfort re: sexual jokes a step further here too, at the end when Phil makes the comment about throwing bombs all over the bedroom while he looks right at Dan. There's like three seconds of Dan with his mouth open not actually responding and then he meets it head on with an oral sex joke?? Way to go, Dan, not ignoring that innuendo like you have in the last few videos.
for some reason, could be my inner demon, i found that phil looking at him directly saying "throwing bombs all over the bedroom" and dan doing the same with the oral sex response kinda struck me as.... like, a funny little couple bant??? not at all sexualizing their relationship, but i felt as if it was semi-personal or directed toward him in a jokey gay way. That was pretty lovely. The game itself was a bit meh, but the banter was all the more interesting. Funny and very natural, almost a bit intimate. It's always nice to see some parts of their dynamic that we don't usually see in videos.

Dan and Phil Q&A livestream!!1
[talking about tour]
Dan: "We're going to try and do some livestreams on tour...or something"
Phil:*discussing how they have plan for the wifi to "have wifi everywhere" and hopefully do some live shows*
Dan: "Do some live shows or maybe something different. Something live."
Phil: "Something...We'll wait and see. We got some ideas"
You definitely have to watch that part to gather full context but to me it looks like Dan wanted to share more but Phil kind of held him back bc they didn't want to share too much.
Try not to worry because I think Dan and Phil actually do have a plan.
I honestly think this section of that liveshow was them trying to say that we won’t suffer like we did when they went on the American leg of tatinof but unfortunately I don’t believe them. Having been a fan for 4+ years now Dan and Phil are terrible at planning. They got a bit better by doing Gamingmas and having videos prepared for it but even for that they did do a lot of video editing on the day hence why some of the videos were uploaded so late (& probably why some were awful haha sorry).
I guess for me this time round, I don’t mind so much that the content is slow and lacking but only because I have a lot going on in my actual life. I’m so busy I don’t have time to constantly keep up with them so it’s not so bad for me. They are lucky to have such a dedicated fan base because I’m really surprised people aren’t bored and fed up of waiting to hear from them.
I also think they have a lot going on behind the scenes for the tour, planning etc so I don’t begrudge it so much as I know they are working hard on putting on a decent show. I really do hope though that when they start the tour, they really do pre-plan videos (im not holding my breath). A lot of the dates are VERY close together which means there isn’t going to be much time for live shows or gaming livestreams as they’ll be busy meeting people, being on stage then having a day travelling. The lack of live shows now imo is to get us prepared for the lack of them during the tour.

This video was so cute! I loved the bit about babadook and their interactions
Liked the whole thing about rewards talk between them, too.
I'm very happy rn

That was cute, though I’ve rarely rolled my eyes so hard at seeing what passes for a game. The babadook bit from Phil was the best part, also Dan’s closing furry moment and the mpreg. They do like their running jokes. Both looked gorgeous especially in the black jumpers. Phil’s is new, from Christmas perhaps (if only he’d tell us

) Funny that Phil had the same type of marshmallows as before Christmas, unless they actually survived since the baking video.

Okay, that video was delightful to me. I'm gonna do timestamps later after I watch it a couple more times but there is something so satisfying to me about videos where they're not doing anything but chatting over some options on a quiz. They were both into it, too - at least in terms of letting their weirdness and very synchronized banter just flow freely.
The bit about 'understand gay and lesbian people' - Phil had an interesting reaction there. I feel like I could see the wheels spinning in his head as he tried to figure out what he wanted to say in respond, which stands out since most of his other remarks after questions were pretty obviously unfiltered and off the top of his head.
I agree with all this! Came to say pretty much the same things. I also love these videos where they chat about the options, like the Google vids. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy lots of other kinds of vids too, but sometimes they get distracted by a more high intensity game and cut themselves off mid-sentence and we miss out on what could be a fun/funny/interesting thought or moment. I like these videos because they have time to really talk and say everything they want to say, if that makes sense.
I also found Phil's 'gay and lesbian people' reaction quite interesting. While you could tell he was thinking about what to say or not say, he also kind of showed more emotion than he usually does when queer things are brought up. Like, he didn't seem to school his face/reactions as much as he has in the past. I'm interested what was going through his mind.
Fuck, the oral sex joke at the end, and that whole moment between the two of them was hilarious and I was not expecting it to go that far and them to respond to each other that way.
Some other faves/observations:
1. I loved the whole yay/nay babadook moment! I love seeing glimpses of them being silly with each other and just massive dorks and making each other laugh.
2. Is it just me, or has Phil seemed to loosen up / join in more on the whole 'Dan is sad' jokes after Dan opened up about his mental health? I thought about this as soon as Phil opened with the whole 'we look depressing' moment at the beginning. I don't remember him using the word 'depressing' to describe things in the past. And same with his genuine laughter after saying Dan was the next picture and it being a sad man. He seems to be laughing about stuff lately like that a lot more genuinely/openly than before. Even in the Truth Bombs vid right after Dan's depression vid, Phil was kind of awkward after the 'god of serotonin deficiency' joke. And I remember watching back older vids where Phil was more stilted and awkward laughing when Dan made his 'depressing' jokes. I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or if it's more confirmation bias on my part? I think Phil got more comfortable with it, because maybe he didn't want to draw attention to it in the past when Dan hadn't told his audience, also maybe because it was more serious and Dan's been getting better over the last year or so. This isn't really important or anything, just something I noticed and wondered if anyone else had.

if only.... there were a way.... to share more about what’s been going on with their lives.....
but how?
i’m only slightly bitter

this video def helped with my grumpiness towards them, they actually made me laugh out loud a few times w/ this vid.
the babadook bit in particular had me shook, my hubs and i have our own weird silly lingo and baby talk and afterwards we always,
always look at each other and go, “what the fuck is wrong with us?” so for me that bit was particularly cute
also.... even more nipple talk. what is it with these boys and their nipple fascination? lmao

100% have noticed this. And I really think the time I started to see it was gamingmas. To me I felt like he was able to tease dan about thing not even just about dan being sad. It was like phil is able to joke about dan like the way dan would to Phil.
Also I remember when Phil first started joking more about dan I saw some people getting upset. But I’ll say now what I said then. Dan and Phil know each other’s boundaries and are completely comfortable with each other. They know how far they can joke with each other. This is just incase anyone else gets upset about this

Loved the vid -- black jumpers were on point they both looked good. There were so many good moments, I'll have to rewatch to make sure i didn't miss any gems. (timestamps would be amazing)
For those of you asking about the dogs in the thumbnail etc, i was curious too so i did some googling and apparently the website for the wikihow game is "damn.dog" and i have literally no idea why

But interestingly when i googled "damn dog game" there were links for a furry gaming channel and some furaffinity stuff. Hmm what a weird coincidence
I don't have the same senitiments as a lot of people on the livestream stuff so i won't say too much bc i don't want to imply at anyone's feelings are invalid. But i did take Dan saying he'd be doing them less to mean it would probably apply to both of them. I mean if Dan is busy, then Phil is busy too right? It kind of seems to me like Phil making an announcement is kind of just a formality at this point. But that's just me, i do understand how lack of communication can be frustrating to others.
A possible reason for the lack of announcement from Phil though, it seems like he doesn't always like to 100% commit to things -- for example, saying they'd definitely do everyday of gamingmas, just in case something happened, or not wanting to say a video comes out on a certain day in case they have issues uploading, etc. So maybe he doesn't want to for sure say he won't be doing liveshows because maybe he'll find some extra time and decide to do one. Just a theory

Aside from the occasional one, liveshows have never been a joint thing, though. I don't think it's a leap to think that when Dan's talking about liveshows being fewer and further between, he's talking specifically about the ones that he does. If he talked about gaming videos become less frequent (God forbid) then I wouldn't expect a confirmation from Phil as well, because that's specifically a joint venture. But this is different to me. I mean, if one tweets and one retweets, i'd take that as both saying it. Or, one of them saying "Dan and I" or "me and Phil" or "we" will be doing fewer liveshows in 2018 would be enough for me. But I don't think Dan even said that. IIRC when he's talked about cutting liveshows in the past, it's always referred to his own.
I for one would always like more notice of whether or not liveshows will happen, because I live on the the other side of the world and have to get up semi-early to watch them. If there's only notice twenty minutes earlier then I really think they're cutting it too fine. But that has always been deppy's way.
This has (unsurprisingly) been their lowest year ever for January liveshows. January's percentage of liveshows done divided by liveshows possible (previously the best month, after September) has also gone down from 72.09% to 61.54%, so that bodes well for the rest of 2018...

Definitely noticed that too. I think after Dan opened up about it Phil might feel like he now has "permission" to do so. Also he probably got more comfortable with the whole topic. After all he must have witnessed Dan's depressive episodes for years (without Dan telling a lot of people) and now that Dan made it "public" Phil might be more at ease with the whole topic.
I feel like I'm not making any sense here, it's still early for me..
I quite liked the new video, obviously not the most amazing game, but I enjoyed the banter & the boys being dorks. The babadook bit was definitely my highlight (plus that sassy Joe Sugg roast)
