I guess because of the Smash Mouth inclusion to the list but I think it's just a coincidence.
Urgh, I'm kinda over her "queerbaiting", it's like she saw how people responded well to Luke's moment in their video and now she can't shut up about it.

Emma is definitely creeping out slowly, I wonder if she has a potential girlfriend in the mix that she's trying to normalize the idea of her bisexuality to her audience? It doesn't seem like a deppy reference. Smash Mouth is a meme in its own right. Allow it to have its own meme integrity separate from the relatable™ danisnotonfire

No I think it's more saying that Emma could be bi.

I agree that emma's creeping out, but I feel like she must've known that reblogging this would get her phandom attention.

I have a pretty low opinion of emma so I tend to ignore her and only read here so if someone else is like me they would also do that. Her own fans will follow her because of herself so why would she reblog something like that for the phandom attention? Like it has already been said that is a meme in its own right and emma's being bi is something in it's own...why should the phandom care? It's not a clear shot towards the phandom like in the past, while my opinion on her is low in this case she is not talking about anyone other than herself.

Listening to her episode of Shane's podcast:
(33:40) Outing herself and Luke:
Shane: So you had a big breakup: in the breakup video when you were you going through [Luke]'s tinder or something, it came up that he was also dating guys and you were like, "Oh my god, I had no idea." Was that real? Emma: Yeah.
Shane: Are you fucking kidding me? You found out that he was bi in that moment? Emma: [blah blah] It didn't come up.
Shane: The whole time you were with him? Emma: It's not really my stuff to like-- to say, I don't--
Shane: You guys never talked about it? Emma: No, not really. It just never came up, you know. [blah blah]. It wasn't like a massive shock or anything because I was like 'it's whatever', you know. You get drunk at parties and make out with all kinds of people. So it was never like a shock, you know?
Shane: Wow. So wait-- Emma: When I get drunk, I make out with anyone.
Shane: Yeah. Because you-- are you kind of open about your, like-- you're into whatever? Or no-- Emma: (laughs) I guess I am now!
(everybody laughing)
Shane: I feel like you've talked about it in your videos Emma: This is going to be on tumblr about you being problematic outing people right here.
Shane: No, I remember a video where you said 'yeah whatever I'm into whatever' Emma: Yeah, literally just whatev-- I just don't make a massive thing out of it. Some people just make these videos about coming out as bi for views, but whatever! No, I just don't care. It's my personal life; if I want to be attracted to someone of whatever-- screw it.
It's hard when your parents are in a different era and they're just like "oh what is this weird 'bi' thing" and I'm just like "(exhales) no idea.. it's weird innit"
Shane: That's why I felt so intense, like I needed to do something or make a video because I grew up literally so guilty about it, but like if you-- nowadays people are like "Do whatever you want" and I'm like "ugh I wish I was a kid now."
Emma: That's the thing, I'm not trivialising how hard it is for people to come out in this day and age because it's still terrifying. You've still got all these awful things happening and all this prejudice but I do feel like we are way more accepting now than we were even 10 years ago. And everything is so much more available online now. 10 years ago there was literally just myspace. If you hid your orientation that meant that you were slightly queer, that's the only way, right?
(42:30) Phandom Drama, her (vague) side of the story:
Shane: I love your shady comments. You have so much drama with people all the time.
Emma: Shit. Not anymore! I've got better. Shane: So who have you had beef with?
Emma: This is the thing, I don't like saying because every time I even say their names, their massive group of fans-- massive group of fans-- of these two Youtubers-- Shane: Ohhh-- OHHH!
Emma: They hate me, they don't like me, their fans. At all. Shane: Ok, I won't say their names.
Emma: Some of them do. It's a vocal minority that really don't like me. I was a massive fangirl of these two Youtubers who were very big in the UK, a massive fangirl back in 2012-13. They're one of the reasons that I started, I think they're great people. Um. But I was very over-the-top with my fangirliness; I had the shirts, I'd make all the references, I was basically cringe-worthy. It was cringetastic. And I really wanted to be friends with them, and I was trying to talk to them, I'd email them to collab, I had like 10K subscribers, right. I was very naive and stuff, and like obviously they would get so many emails, they didn't reply or anything. But I took it personally, and this was years ago. I took it personally, like "Wow, they're shading me. They don't like me." And I was friends with someone who-- uhh... was... friends with them a long time ago who they now hate so then lots of drama started with that. And ever since--
Shane: Have you ever--
Emma: I've met them and like whenever we hang out, well not hang out, but you know, whenever we meet each other in the corridors at Vidcon or something, everything is civil. Everything's fine. Like I don't know how they personally feel about me, I just know that a lot of their fans remember the stuff I used to do years ago, which I don't do anymore, and they still see me as that person. And that's something I'm going to have for the rest of my YT career, people are going to be like 'Oh yeah, we don't talk about her, she's horrible."
Shane: Interesting.
Emma: Yeah. It sucks. Shane: Well. Welcome to my life.
Then they all slapped each other with a whip and played with sex toys. Yup. Overall: meh.

thank you so much for posting this!!
I wonder how Luke feels about this? Did putting that guy on tinder in the breakup video officially out him? Was that his coming out? I guess so. Interesting. and EB doesn't wanna make a big deal about her sexuality. Interesting. I know another certain duo who don't want to make a big deal about their sexualities....
seriously I swear she'll always be copying them and trying to decide between f*cking them and being them. As for her side of the drama, nothing new. Shane is relentless so I'm not surprised he went there when it comes to either topic.

So she started another side channel for just chill sit-down talking stuff:
This is a talk channel. That's it. I'm going to be talking about personal things that have happened in my life, some stories from my past, and I want to answer your questions, give you guys advice on stuff like body confidence and stuff about YouTube that you may not have known, as well.
Hmm. I wonder what 'stuff about YT' means (unless it's just like advice for noobs or something boring). What happened to just being a musician tho.

I kinda looking forward to it because she really has a nice voice and accent (don't judge me but my first ever youtuber is Alex Day because he did a video about Hung Parliament which is super interesting) Just wait and see if the topic she brought up is something that will catch my attention or only suitable for younger demographics

Not another new channel, jeez I'm starting to lose count.
Have to give her props for her video about North Korea. I was so irritated by Louis' vlogs as I've been subscribed to him for a long time and I thought her video was spot on. And her tweets to him and to others.

The first video on her new channel was literally her talking about all those channels she had created and failed to maintain, kudos to her

re: sexuality video, idk if i feel sorry for her because holy internalized homo/biphobia or if i am annoyed with the straights using the split attraction model to get into the lgbt+ community, like seriously i cannot compute how, if you're attracted to girls and aren't asexual, genitals can matter so much to you that you would like to date them but not have sex with them
am i being problematic? soz guys i just don't like when the split attraction model is used outside of the aro/ace spectrum

I'm with trashqueen. I'm pissed the fuck off. But should I be?
First of all, Emma sounds a lot like me when I was fourteen, and questioning if I was bi. I didn't want to think about myself with a girl sexually because, basically, of homophobia around me and in my family. But luckily I learned to be truthful with myself as time went on and learn to love myself and now I am 21 and I am happy with my status as a bisexual woman. I think that emma might be going through what I went through when I was 14 and might still be affected by the bullying she went through in school and wants to deny it to herself desperately.
At the same time, I think this could be Emma trying really really hard to wedge herself into the LGBTQ+ community when she doesn't belong there. And that makes me fucking mad. She said she didn't want to be a role model for the community yet here she is. And she's been dropping hints left and right, like on the podcast and on her tumblr, so I really don't understand why she's now outing herself as biromantic rather than bisexual. It's almost a mockery. has she been dropping all these hints purely for attention??
I have no fucking idea what's going on with emma blackery but she seems to have the maturity of a 14 year old and has her life as together as someone that age. sorry not sorry.
I would never discredit someone's coming out but emma herself admitted she might not be bi. So...yeah. I think what she's spewing might be bs, however, there are obviously bi people in the world who are NOT spouting bs (me included) so yeah. No hate.
Either emma's bullshitting completely or she's just still confused. Which is also okay. And I'm really not sure which it is.

Emma is my fave today because I think this video is very brave, since she openly states that she has in the past found females attractive, she then published this to the internet, despite being unsure of whether her family would accept her when they saw it. Hopefully now that they have both appeared to be supportive, if she was trying to 'play down' her bisexuality because she was worried about what her family might think, she might do this less?
In terms of labels maybe she should go with heteroflexible instead then or just stick with straight

How do you mean? She isn't bi enough because she doesn't want to have sexual relations with a girl? How is that a mockery? I think that's a bit harsh. #BierasureIsReal
I'm just tired of these videos. I don't even think they're necessary and probably confuse people even more because they feel like they should just label themselves with something for the sake of doing so, even when their thoughts are still all over the place. I wish dumb videos like this weren't even necessary and people just didn't think it was neccessary. At least Deppy seem happy enough not having to explain themselves to others lol. Who will be next I wonder. Zoe? lol.
