If I had to guess I'd say that they won't acknowledge it at all and that probably Phil will upload a video instead. But who even knows with those two anymore.

Okay maybe i'm too optimistic but... I really really hope they're gonna tweet something! I mean it's the 10-year anniversary, that's quite something! And they know this day is important for us (more than for them).
Idk, I'll just be super sad if they don't tweet because IT'S TEN YEARS GUYS!

I don't think they'll acknowledge the 19th but maybe the 20th, anniversary of PINOF1 instead as more work related and less personal

I imagine Dan was aware of yesterday being Hello Internet’s 10th because of the number of people who tweeted him about it. I’m sure the same will be true on Saturday, probably even more so - so I feel like they won’t be able to avoid knowing about it, but whether they choose to publicly acknowledge it or not is another thing. (I don’t expect anything, but it sure would be nice 🤞🏻)

I’m not sure what will happen on Saturday. They’ve never acknowledged the anniversary before, but we are living in uncertain times so who knows?

I don’t think we’ll get an acknowledgement but only because anything joint dnp has been extremely scarce this year but I do think we’ll probably get a video from Phil and if he does his liveshow on Sunday he might casually say something and then move the conversation on

I'm still thinking the mukbang or something similarly joint will be Phil's next video. Likely wishful thinking seeing as Dan's voice featured in his most recent one, but just a hunch.

maybe i'm just being optimistic but i do think it's possible we'll get an acknowledgment of the 19th. it doesn't have to have anything to do with their romantic relationship. they met 10 years ago on that day. we know. they know. they know we know. i wouldn't be surprised with something along the lines of 'befriended a rat 10 years ago and never could get rid of him we're all dying'.

I’m not at all holding my breath, but if there’s anything yeah, I expect it to be something like “thanks for 10 years of editing tips!”... I would be flabbergasted if it was anything actually sincere or serious, doesn’t feel like they’re back at that level of fan service yet. (Though I would melt for an anniversary date night dinner pic)

They've been unpredictable lately so who knows! I don't even know what to expect because everytime I think they're about to do one thing, they do basically the exact opposite. But even if nothing happens tomorrow, that's going to be fine because it's probably a very personal date for them and they might file that under "relationship things that need to stay private". I'm actually more curious whether or not they're gonna acknowledge the ten year anniversary of their first video together since that's a bit more professional and something that actually concerns us viewers.

Tbh they've been more acknowledging of their personal relationship than of their professional one this year.

"DanAndPhil" is dead. But "Dan said my hair looks like a red squirrel" and "What Phil and I had was more than just romantic" is alive.

If they shout out PINOF, people will ask when #11 is coming and they'll have to state that it's not coming back (which they've only said in a live show that only the hardcore fans watch).

Right now I’m more curious about this video that Phil’s supposed to upload this week. It’s probably going to be a light ap video but if he does upload I bet it’ll go up tonight or tomorrow and other than the liveshow that’s all the activity I’m expecting.

It is interesting that last week he only announced his live show via Instagram - kind of like what was said above - only his more active fans follow his Instagram and then a smaller amount actually watch the liveshow so I wonder why he decided to skip twitter like he did.

My guess is that he's trying to figure out which platform drives more viewers so he knows overall what to focus more attention on, and the only way to really do that is to test them independently while doing an actual liveshow.

In reality it's quite the opposite, instagram is more likely to drawn in more causal viewers that might not know about his liveshows, whether his more dedicated follow/fanbase has always been on twitter (and before that on tumblr), so to me it makes perfect sense that if he's trying to reach more people he would want to post it on instagram stories, because it's more likely that random people following him would just be looking through stories of people while bored, see his and decide to check it out.

Do we think Phil is going to post a video today or just avoid any social pestering about the 19th and do it tomorrow? But then he would have to reply to tweets and he would be absolutely swarmed with tweets about their anniversary mmm

this might be totally off topic but i saw a preview/promotion for Dr Sleep (The Shining ..sequel? idk ANYTHING about horror because i’m a giant chicken) earlier. it comes out on Halloween. knowing what a huge Stephen King nerd Phil is..i wonder if maaaybe his Halloween potential plans relate to that? since it would definitely be a subject that he’s interested in? kind of a stretch, but the thought still gave me pause. not totally unreasonable!

(also GOD what i wouldn’t give to see PCOU dnp decked out in their horror movie premiere finest during their self-proclaimed favorite season. the thought it almost painful.)

I agree with this! I think the question was more 'why skip twitter' than 'why post to ig stories.' Unless there is a reason why posting about it on multiple social media counts is a bad idea? (And I mean that as a genuine question, you know way more about this than me so I'm curious if there is an actual basis behind only posting to one besides just wanting a comparison!)

Oh sorry I forgot to quote but I was going "opposite" Amlaw, I do agree he's probably trying to see which platform gets him the most viewers. Whether he wants MORE viewers than not, that's another question and I'm actually not sure. I think he does simply because the liveshows have become less personal and thus he might feel less observed by unwanted eyes.

They might want to monitor and compare the viewers attracted from another platform compared to the usual viewers, and see if that is different enough to cause a shift in buying bars or even cryptocurrency.

In general it's suggested not to repeat content in different socials and to space it out, but that isn't true for events where you want attendance, so honestly, there is no real benefit in this case except wanting to try to change up his audience (unless, again, he was asked to but I doubt it)
