^At 1:23 on top of Phil's bookcase, do I spy Dan's pink statue award he got for the gimp video?
might be. Do you remember why Dan got that statue? Just because he did the video??
because Phil did a captain stress relief video with giffgaff.com too (the company that rented both the gimp and the captain stress relief costume) so maybe they gave him a small statue too.
If you’re attracted to somebody, you’ll want them to sniff you eventually - Dan
*Phil is turned on by Dan's brilliance* *they kiss* *they have sex in the microwave* - Oqua (actually Phil)

This is completely off-topic...but I just watched this video and thought that if Dan or Phil ever want to come out, they should do it by posting this link on Twitter. Probably just proves I'm trash. Also it's hilarious. [/offtopic]

I think they'd have to full-on re-enact that video for people to not actually just claim it was a joke. I mean, if just posting that video were coming out, I'd say Dan's probably already there.

Sadly true...will anything Dan say ever be taken seriously? The worst part is that he's fully aware of this and is milking it for what it's worth, the cheeky little shit.

It was an award, he won it specifically for the gimp video (and Phil didn't make one of those).
Trying to figure out if there's some kind of action hero (video game character?) that looks like that that Phil would have but idk, I just see the gimp statue. IF it's Dan's gimp statue, what's it doing at Phil's house and not in Dan's own room...? (Bit of a sidenote but haha.)
So so so in other news I'm watching through some Jamaica footage atm and I find this kind of funny/interesting:
Official ad video:
Phil's video:
The two videos are largely the same but with a few edits in Phil's to decrease the #spon (clever boy). He's also added a few clips from later on in the trip (the ad vid was filmed on day 1 of them being there), replacing some of the older clips. Interesting, I think, to see what Phil chose to remove to add the new clips (r.i.p. romantic shot of Dan's collarbone at 0:47 in the ad video).
Reminded me of these two different versions of D&P drawing cats on each other's faces:
StickAid's version (starts at 2:03 because there's another segment before it)
Phil's version
A VERY direct comparison of what choices they make themselves when editing, compared to other people.
will felucca ever post about current events? who knows!

The threads have been so slow today, this has been the only time I've been able to keep up without leaving for a few hours and coming back to three pages
While I'm sure this is rehashing an old topic, I was interested in what people's thoughts were on Jameela whenever were doing the album charts thing with her? (IDK if this counts as off topic because I mean it in the context of how she interacted with them )
I always loved their interactions and I appreciated her sass and thought she was great, then the other night I was going back through some of the album chart videos and saw people freaking out in the comments about how apparently rude she is to them and doesn't respect them and she's pushing boundaries, or something. I mean, I know it's to be expected that a lot of the phandom would jump to those conclusions, but when I rewatched through that perspective I could kind of see where they were coming from, which is why I come here to hear your guys' thoughts and see what the general consensus was.
Example vid:
Like I guess she is pretty sassy, but I don't know if I would go so far as to say she had a thing against either one of them (but maybe she did? IDK I need thoughts. )

I love Jameela, her humour, her sarcasm, her sass . So much fun watching those old radio videos. I laugh a lot, i miss her >:C

I've always liked Jameela and not just because I find her incredibly attractive, so I might be a bit biased. I do think it's funny that apparently the phandom finds her humour rude, when it's actually quite similar to Dan's. Plus, D&P seem to play along with it quite naturally, so I don't get the sense that they had any problem with her.

Especially the small text.
The phandom treats her almost like a threat to phan. A lot of annoyed comments about her flirting especially with Dan. It's funny because it should be the opposite. We owe her for so many good moments like the 'are you single' bit in that video.
I find it kind of odd that some of the Phandom felt threatened by Jameela. Didn't she almost always nickname them sometimes as certain celebrity couples? I can sort of recall her calling them Kim and Kanye once. I think also during one of the radio shows when Phil was in Florida, Dan mentioned that Jameela calls them celebrity couple names. It almost sounds like she's referring to them as a power couple, but I could be wrong.
Phil:"Getting dan in the mood.. of summer by.."
Dan: *Umh, what?.. OH*
But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live

Guess the year, 1886 or 2016?
I think tomska is firmly in the film maker category, and is (with video content), the same as the hazel and jack people. Dan is the one who's different, imo, because, content wise, Phil is the same as a gleamer. But, content wise, Emma Blackery makes similar content to Dan.
I get what you mean about the attitude, but, I don't think the label of film maker or the kind of content really makes someone an asshole. I think it's the people who think being a film maker gives them a moral high ground who are assholes, not really film makers in general, if that makes any sense?
There's another one where she goes, 'Are you single?' and Dan just goes, 'Can you tell?' That's not an answer, Dan.
I dunno what beef the phandom has with Jameela maybe the same reason a lot hate Cat ... they feel she's a threat?, but I've always liked her. Her interactions with are hilarious.
I think Jameela was great with them, what the hell i'm suddendly so out of touch with popular fandom Opinions (that happened to the Hazel calling Phil babe thing).
I specially liked how at first they both looked mildly intimidated by her (and other R1 DJs, like proper ones) but they eased into their banter very quickly. I guess they had the chance to interact with them in all those ridiculous situations so it broke the ice between them quite fast and easily.
Cheers to Jameela and her ridiculously attractive face

I often look at the British vloggers i see three kinds of people, the gleamers they are the cool kids at school, they are popular, but they love their fans only because their fans loves them, but they don't pay much attention to their fans.
And then there are the filmmakers, who are cocky and pretentious, they think everything that's popular is trashy and tasteless. They don't know much about how real world works and their bluntness hurts people.
And there are nerds like deppy who really try to understand their fans while maintain the integrity not to take their fans for granted.
Am i tumblr now?
this deserves several (not severed) thumbs up
it's always been kind of weird how un-internet most of the british yt community are, the pretentious ones are even proud of being ignorant of this very important aspect of youth pop culture.

YESSSS it was a thing! she was ONTO them but in a very subtle way which i loved. i think dan specially enjoyed being called the jay-z and beyonce of youtube (but who is who?) that one time.

Any video clips of this in action?
Jameela: it's time... for the jay z and beyonce of radio one
Dan: thank you so much, how accurate
Phil: Can I be Beyonce?
Jameela: of course you can Phil

That was fairly early on in Dan's YT career and he claims his parents didn't know he did YT until someone told one of them he was on the front page so if it was before they knew maybe he thought it was better to leave it at Phil's then take it home and have to explain where he got it and/or hide it.
