I agree, I am somewhat relieved that it's nothing new and crazy, and also very happy that it came out before my class started hahaha.

Also, idk if you missed this, but Dan's said a few times that you don't need a subscription to Youtube Red, it will be available to purchase by itself like an iTunes movie.

overall verdict: It was cute. I agree that the acting was horrible, especially on Phil's part. But it was overall enjoyable.

Relieved that it wasn't something bad. Hyped to finally see TATINOF as I won't see it live even if I had the opportunity. Teaser really wasn't spectacular.

The only thing worth noting was the PINOF 1 quote

TWO WEEKS, two little weeks. Oh my god that's no time at all. I am so ready to be able to relive tatinof over and over. I am also more interested in the documentary, I might book that Wednesday off work so I can rewatch it 200x to analyse it all. I'm excited for those who haven't seen it to be able to experience it. 1) very nicely done, hope people watch it & are nice, i do actually like TATINOF when it's not on tour and bringing content droughts. liked the energy of the teaser a lot, actually, i'm such a sucker for a good build up to an explosion

2) already so stressed about the two coming out at the same time like what watch first how decide?? like i'm way more excited for the documentary but the order that makes sense is show first

3) that is quite possibly the worst week out of this year it could have come out for me personally, but what can you do.

4) something about anime watching in baths with loads of candle and the public info that is watching anime together, always

5) you know, the amount of stuff i will have to watch/keep up with feels stressful, i guess if ever i can forgive dan's cranky pants mood during a ls, this should be it

However, every YouTube account automatically gets a free two week trial plus an additional month for free (but you have to put your card in so make sure to cancel it before the month is up)! Hopefully they'll make a video or something explaining that as not everyone is aware of this.

I am excited to see the film and the docu, but I'm sad at the same time. I give up all my hopes for eurotatinof.

He may be nervous because people in countries that didn't get the tour may be salty because it's likely they won't ever visit.

Oh well. I would have loved to see the show in the flesh but also crowds like that really stress me out so maybe it'll be better that I can rewatch in the comfort of my own home whenever I want, in my jimmies and with some cheap ramen noodles.

That's not a bad thing though, all things considered For me at least. I preordered DAPGO, I will deffo look into TATINOF on YTRed, and I'm on a forum full of lovely, amazing people.

I can see why he was nervous about it. The show is a big thing for them, they've spent days and months putting their souls into it. No one can say they didn't work extremely hard to produce something pretty special. The internet can sometimes be a nasty place and knowing how sensitive he can be I don't blame him for having anxiety around it. I think back to the tour announcement and how awful the reaction to that was, maybe he expected the same thing.

hollyphan - I've seen the tour so I think that's why I'm so salty for Europe. I think it's such a shame they didn't get to take it there (before the release) especially as they said previously that they still had one more place to take it too. The thing I'm most salty about though is the fact they just aren't saying anything about it.

Anti climax of the year, though I expected that already...

Seriously Dan, stop using the word 'shit storm' where it doesn't apply. A shit storm is not the teaser of something we already we already knew was coming. A shit storm is you two dropping a book and tour out of nowhere and then keeping silent about it while you let the phandom draw their own conclusions that weren't pretty. btw there was some talk about how negative the phandom was during that time, I just wanna say that I still consider that largely D&P's own fault due to their bad communication and Dan saying he wasn't gonna write a book only months before. Like no shit people were gonna feel the way they did...

Anyway, teaser was kinda meh it doesn't get me excited or willing to spend money tbh. And the blurring of the stickers looks weird, couldn't they just have used Dan's stickerless MacBook? You can still easily make out most of the stickers like the Tumblr one.

This isn't the first time Dan brought attention to TATINOF or whatever him and philly get up to these days with watching their anime in the bath together. Yet he was still anxious about this. Maybe he was anxious for some other reason?
I know a lot of you are relieved that this is the dramatic drop that Dan has been hinting but COME ON! This feels like the build up in a great song then it horribly collapsing before it started, I feel so discontent

If someone hasn't used their YTR free trial then they should be able to get it for free. It's like with netflix you can use your free trial when something you want to watch comes out, watch it in that month and cancel before you pay. But of course after you've cancelled you won't be able to re-watch. Like with all the pay-for streaming services that offer free trials they hope you'll like the content enough not to cancel/will be too lazy to cancel and end up paying.
And they can probably make a video explaining how it works but explaining the free trial and cancel bit would probably be a big no no with YT.

I haven't seen the show yet (although I listened to the first sneaky audio in Oct), but I'm definitely doing the documentary first. Who needs context?? I just want some real life D&P running around America.

Agreed! Also, I'm pretty sure they are aloud to talk about the two week trial offered by youtube. I only found out about it because Phil Defranco sponsored it in his show once with a special URL with his name in it. It's basically like an Audible or crunchy roll trial like link. But yeah no they can't talk about canceling it.

That teaser trailer was underwhelming tbh, maybe because I expect more than just one minute of a short skit but I love it nevertheless because Phil is such a bad actor

I still haven't watch tatinof or read any detailed spoilers yet, so I am pretty excited for this. Can't wait to finally watch it after all these reviews and approximately a year of the tour.
