My heart goes out to the victims and all the ones profoundly hurt by this meaningless act of violence. When i heard about it on the news, they said this was going the be the 20th time that president Obama was going to speech after a mass shooting like this. Depressing. And it's only the very deadliest ones that get headlines in the national news. Terrorism or the act of a mentally unstable person (or a mix of both), these mass shootings exact a terrible toll of human lives and they just seem to get more and more frequent.
I do hope that, somehow, some good may come of this tragedy.
These events aren't really about Dan and Phil and honestly I can understand how, considering their large lgbt audience and history many may look to them and expect them to say something... but idk how i feel about them tweeting about it. In a way, it seems a bit... empty to just offer your respects in the 160 characters tops that silly site allows you.
I wouldn't mind (because i'm sure it comes from a good place) but i don't expect them to do it either. Honestly, i'd rather hear their thoughts in a video or a livestream. There's also the shooting Christina Grimmie that is more relevant to them as public figures with huge fandoms so i suspect that between the bday party and the hectic show schedule this has been on their minds.
