I know we all knew a lot of the answers but the way Dan and Phil knew the backstory to each answer and the way they acted (mostly Dan) when the answer was wrong just reminded me of how I act when I'm in a relationship. Don't get me wrong- I have close friends that I have known my entire life and I've known things about them- but I usually don't remember all of the small, silly things unless I was there too- the marriage vibes were strong.

Also agree about Phil's tweet- he was way too amused and Dan was way too embarrassed for it to be an innocent tweet.

I give this video a 9/10 and I am loving evil Phil. I hope he sticks around
+1 for the bolded part: Phil was way too amused and Dan was way too embarrassed. We've seen him react to plenty of "weird" things Phil has come up with, but I can't remember a time he was that embarrassed for that long.

SOOO excited for a video a day! And about the more "relaxed" interactions between them. They way they bounce off one another reminds me of the way kittens play together. Pretty adorable.
In the Will Dan and Phil Survive Australia video, Dan looked absolutely mortified when Phil mentioned playing I Spy on the plane.

Go to 7:20. Dan turns all sorts of red as Phil nudges him with his shoulder. Made me wonder if I Spy is code for Paid Up Members of the Mile High Club?

I noticed that too! At around 12.50 you can clearly see Phil pick up Dan's phone and hold his finger to the button to unlock it. None of my friends who are in serious relationships/are married have that kind of trust but how cute is that tho
I don't think it's THAT weird, I mean i have at least three friends who know my passcode and who can unlock my phone with that, and I have the passcodes of several friends, one has my fingerprint saved on her phone. I don't see why you wouldn't trust good friends or your partner with that.
It's not weird, it just shows the trust they have. I'd let anyone use my phone but I'd unlock it before giving it to them. I wouldn't give out my passcode or save their fingerprint unless it was my daughter or significant other.

For me it is weird, but it isn't for them. I already freak out when anyone takes my phone to look at a photo because I'm afraid they'll see something they aren't supposed to. Deppy, on the other hand, seem to tell each other everything and if you trust someone like that and live with them, it's just convenient. I believe my parents know each other's passcodes as well.
I just can't imagine trusting anyone like that. It amazes me how much they trust each other and I kind of wish I had someone I could trust like that. It also terrifies me. When I first got into them, I was shocked but now I'd be more surprised if they didn't have each other's passcodes and fingerprints tbh

For me personally I'd be okay with giving my passcode as it's mostly to keep my family out, tbh. The people I call friends are ok to use my phone, just like my password protected laptop. It's usually to stop my snooping parents, or my nosy siblings. I don't use sms and text to shit-talk others, and even on messenger I avoid as much as I can talking about other people because you just never know who will read it :?

I find it more embarrassing to explain my mobile passcode because tbh it's an old personal reference and explaining it is awkward, I'm just so used to using it I don't even think about it.

What does bug me is people snooping through the picture gallery. Not that I have anything embarrassing, my life is too sad for that  It's mostly my cats and whatever random object. But if I forget to delete the 60+ selfies I took (so that I choose one out of the 60, or even none if I'm having a bad day), then I'd be mortified if they scrolled down the gallery and saw a bazillion selfies.

I feel that phone etiquette among friends should be respected. Respect the trust they give you, don't abuse their privacy, don't scroll through pictures unless they ask you to, and don't screenshot.

I remember wondering if it was a euphemism for something when I saw that, because of Dan's reaction. But I watched it again and thought, no, Phil just pestered him to play "I Spy" on the plane and he thought it was lame but went along with it any way.

He seemed significantly more embarrassed about the honey. I don't have good archiving skills, so I wouldn't know where to find it/them, but Phil has made several innuendos about eating food off someone's body (sushi?) and I've always believed he and Dan have done that. So that's the first place my mind went. I didn't know about the euphemism, but either scenario seems plausible to me.

But then again, I am . It's entirely possible they aren't together, blah, blah, blah and none of my rambling is relevant. :D

Is the new video worth a watch? I'm always cautious of Dan and Phils "spon" videos.

Personally I think Phil has been using Dan as a dinner plate since 2009.

If you like housemate shaming and them getting excited to know facts about each other, it is definitely worth a watch. I think it was funny and cute. It's way better than their usual spon videos because the focus is on them asking each other questions and the game is totally irrelevant.

In the Friends or Fiends video a lot of you said that them knowing triva about each other Gabe off more couple vibes than friend vibes. With my best friend I'd imagine it'd be pretty similar, same with a lot of phan proof. HOWEVER I've known my friend since I was in the 4th grade. I remember I started watching Dan and Phil in early 2012 and I assumed they were childhood best friends. When I realized they acted so... close and coupley? I was shocked!! So although it's been awhile now originally them not knowing eachother for that long and ALREADY being on that level has always been fishy to me. (Then of course in 2015 I found out all the actual incriminating proof lol) but yeah idk I thought this was a somewhat interesting thought and I'd like to know about other people's relationships and their take.

Yeah, Dan was already going that way before the I Spy mention happened. (Having said that I don't believe the honey thing was an inside joke either, so …)

The thing that gets me most about the honey tweet and makes me think it was an inside joke is less Dan's reaction and more Phil's. The way he said "It's a mysterious question!" just reeks of someone bringing up a joke no one else is in on. Bless their hearts.

Also, late on this discussion, but I'm #TeamDanWasAlwaysTaller. Skinnier, scrawnier, less grown-into-his-own, but definitely taller:

So, Phil's backpack cosplay is a role he's been committed to for a while.

Yea, I think the honey reference was just another example of Phil's random weirdness.

I was thinking the exact same thing. And I think if I got to tweet something from my best friend's account it would totally be an inside joke they would understand and everyone else would be like wtf? Makes it so much better.

Hm, I don't really think so. I've known one of my best friends for only four years and we started acting really close really fast (let's not discuss the fact that I did have a crush on them for a while but it never lead to anything, so it doesn't really matter  ). I totally get why people might think they could be a couple but I don't really see any proof they are in the way their friendship worked out. It's a great friendship (whether they're together or not) and I think they just clicked right away. It happens sometimes. And don't forget that in 2012 they already were best friends for over two years. That's plenty of time to get really close.

so I guess no video tonight + next 2(or more) days? Unless they scheduled their pre-filmed videos but I figured we would get a pause sometime soon

P.Sl I absolutely don't trust any of my friends with my computer or my phone, even though I don't really have anything to hide  But then my friends are much more trustful and let me roam their comps freely, and some would let me on their phones too, which says more about me than about them tbh. ;) tldr; can't add anything to the discussion of deppy's "trust" levels :D

I think the trust discussion (like so many more) really only works if you're comparing Dan and Phil's behavior with other friends/people to their behavior with each other. They are not people who consider their lives an open book to their friends. What is poignant about them trusting each other so much is that it's quite clear they don't trust anyone else like that, not that it's unheard of for anyone who isn't them.

I agree, I can't see them letting Felix etc go through their phones. The fact they are so private but let each other on their phones is what I find frankly adorable.

I always love Sims videos, but this was on another level. So enjoyable to watch. :D

They normally don’t talk about the notification squad, so they for sure know that something is up with Youtube.

Also if you click on Phil’s circle to subscribe at the end, it just says rat and Dan’s is dan da man.

I'm going to need to rewatch it before I can give all of my thoughts but I think this is my favorite Video of the week. If they keep going like this I don't know if I'm going to make it....
