Extremely hypocritical, she most likely would still be talking crap about people who had books if she didn't have her own book deal.
Where do you see that she's releasing a book?

She's gone from an iconic youtuber to someone who subtly copies other popular youtubers' videos.
I don't think she deliberately tries to copy other YouTubers exactly but she doesn't try NOT to
The meme video was so like Dan's that I cringe thinking about it she also sent out the image to be memeified on her tumblr then pretended that she had a huge fanbase who turned her into memes independently like the phandom would with deppy. Some of her fans kind of called her out on that little lie she told lol
Regarding her copying Pewdiepie: No.
Every YouTuber is copying each other. Pewdiepie isn't even being himself. I noticed a few months ago Pewds began to speak and act similarly to the YouTuber Filthy Frank (kind of the less PC (NOT PC AT ALL, it's a character, I wouldn't even really watch him) that has started a lot of YouTube trends (like Harlem Shake) but was never credited so is kind of like Phil lol) and people commenting that pewds was picking up the cadence and manner of ranting that Frank would speak in.
It's hard to describe until you put Frank and Pewds side by side but to put it mildly, Pewdiepie is not the OG and he is merely "borrowing" ideas from other YouTubers like Emma is. There are many ways that YouTubers borrow from each other and there's no way that people can be 100 percent original. Instead I think Emma is trying to be a bit "edgy" and engaging "with the kids" like SOOOO many other YouTubers do nowadays. That's just my opinion, anyway.
But regarding her video ideas, yeah some like the meme video seems a weird rip off but YouTube is a big place everybody's ripping off each other

I've watched Filthy Frank since like.. he had 100k but I never really see the similarity between him and Felix? I guess I'll have to put them side to side to understand the similarities, I just found that what Emma did was like what she did with her meme video. Straight ripping out the SAME editing and SAME way of speaking and etc etc. Youtube is never really original anymore, however taking from the most popular youtuber ever is so obvious to see it's sad.
And yeah, it does seem like she's 'trying to engage with the kids'.

three things:
1- why is she name dropping pj and pewds like her life depends on it, does she really think they are her friends? does she want them to be her friends? idk what's going on but it's awkward, i'm pretty sure they are friendly acquaintances at most
2- this video genuinely made me laugh, i appreciate the self awareness and that's what she does best, still think the pixie cut blond hair was her best hairstyle
3- i will never not be surprised at how quickly she changes her mind about things, she already hates the yellow hair and 'rad' branding that she had a few months ago, add that to her past 78 deleted channels and the ones she was gonna delete bc she was gonna be a musician but then didn't and all the other weird phases she went through

SIGH. I know self deprecation is a very common humour mechanism nowadays, hi Dan, but this is a bit... sigh. EMMA. Just when I was starting to enjoy vloggery. I don't mind it so much if it isn't the whole point of the video, but a "let's make fun of myself" video is just a bit much. It makes me feel uncomfortable tbh and she's all over the place at the start, trying to make a statement about people having opinions on her hair (although she openly asks people to roast her all the time) and even shaming anal sex? What was she on, a sip of diet cola? Right.
Also, most of those hair colours and styles really weren't bad at all. The blonde pixie was gorgeous, I think the heavy black eye makeup was worse. Her constant profanity is a bit much in this video also, give it a rest love.
I remain still able to only watch her Vloggery channel lol it's just a bit more real, a bit less forced and much more likeable.

1 - pewds did shade her in his video where he starts drama with everyone. I don't think it's far fetched for them to be friends considering she was one of the first people on revelmode. She's been hanging out a lot with that crowd lately and they went to PAX together sooo... as for the Peej mention I don't think that's something obscene, it was like a friednly joke to me
IA about the phases, she is like Kalel. Every 6 months there's a new person standing in front of you.

+1
I think the concept of the video 'let's make fun of my awful hairstyles' just reeks of low self esteem and cannot be good for her Also I'm a big believer in making whatever fashion choices you want to, and not shaming others for their fashion choices since does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Isn't the whole point that the person themself feels good and self expression for that person - what's it got to do with anybody else? I actually really liked the yellow hair, it was different and bold. She always seems to give time and support to unconstructive criticisms of herself when maybe she should just let it go & accept some people don't like her. I don't really see the problem with people hating on her on the internet in the comment section or wherever but she doesn't need to read the unconstructive shit and validate it because I'm not sure it's healthy.
Have to say I've lost interest in the Vloggery channel but that's mostly because Dan and Phil are uploading again so I don't think it's her fault really

That's what I noticed the more about the video as well. And as someone said above they might be friends but to me, she mentioned PJ and especially Felix quite a lot, it seems a bit forced to me.
And the fact she's already shading her rad branding is so weird, like she was saying rad 24/7 and pretended to be Avril Lavigne a few months ago and she's already hating it. How can someone change personality that often ?

love this drama emma addressed it okay, better than she usually does but yeah, she's so awkward, not trying to cause drama but doing it ANYWAY. kind of on her side in this place, the German YouTuber is a complete ripoff and I cringe at the response video from her as well

I don't get it lol. What is the point of making this video after getting the credit? She should have just let the girl upload her silly video whinging about it and not bothered with it any further.
Yawwwwwwn.

I'm on her side with the video to be honest, that German girl was totally rude to her about it even after crediting her. If I were Emma I'd want the video taken down not just credit because if it's true that it's basically word for word then she doesn't deserve to keep the video up. So in this case I'm on Emma's side.

Oh this is hilarious. I'm not subscribed to Emma and I used to be subscribed to Kelly until like a year ago. She used to be kind of funny (has never been really original though, her thing is (or at least was at the time) commenting on comments. Every week.)
I watched both videos now and I can understand both sides. Yes, she is inspired by Emma, but it is not like she copied the whole thing. It's true that you can only make so many jokes about being ugly, but the only thing that stood out to me as being extremly similar was that they both talked about how people sometimes call them pretty and sometimes call them ugly and how they don't know what's true so that's why they take this test.
It's kind of strange to me that someone like Emma complains about being copied (meme video anyone? Guess she doesn't have to credit Dan though since everyone already knows anyway that he's her youtube senpai )
I think Kellys reaction is really rude though. It is definitly not "lost in translation". It's just rude. But now they both have videos with catchy names like "MY VIDEO GOT STOLEN" or "THE TRUTH: DO I STEAL ALL MY VIDEOS?" (translation of Kellys response video).
(thank u lurking trash for finding that link for me)
Wowie. Honestly at first I thought this was going to be really far-fetched but wow, that's actually some pretty blatant copying and it's making me so uncomfortable that I don't even want to finish watching it. I'd heard about this when it first happened but I wasn't really that into Emma or Emma related drama back then.

Yeah, I got that impression too. Emma's reaction to it kind of made me laugh, though.

It was for a horror/scrary gaming video (I don't remember which one though) and Dan put the jumpscares timestamps of someone else in the info section instead of hers and she got butthurt.

Contrairy to a lot of users on this forum, i don't usually mind other youtubers name dropping deppy. Like Jack and Dean can talk about them all they want and i wouldn't even accuse them of doing it for attention, since they actually know deppy and why wouldn't they be able to talk about the people they know, after all they also talk about other youtubers as well.
But Emma is a different story. She isn't friendly with them, they try their hardest to ignore her and she just can't stop talking about them. It feels like every few weeks she tweets something about her past and fandoms forgiving her or mentions what she did in a video. Why can't she just stop drawing attention to deppy and their history?
If someone who bullied me in school acted like that about our history, i'd be so upset.
Am i overreacting?
Btw, i assure you that i am no fun at parties

She wants to play the victim, never take responsibility for her actions.
Is it fair that things she said and did years ago keep getting thrown back at her, no (imo), but this is the internet, everything is there until the end of time, and either ignore it (the popular choice) or do something meaningful about it (ethical but a hassle). Right now, she is the only one who is holding her back. But it is easier to deal when you find a way to blame others for your problems.
I sound harsh. Sorry. But her tweet annoyed me greatly.

i'm sure there are people who are still going at her bc of old things, but there are probably also people who would barely know about it if it weren't for her bringing it up as often as she does. personally i mostly just roll my eyes at her these days but i can't imagine her getting that many positive reactions when she brings stuff up again so why keep doing it?
like that latest tweet, what was even the point of that?
it would probably be best if she would just leave it as it is, but from what i've seen over the years that doesn't really seem to be her thing lmao

Exactly. Reading that tweet, what is the context, the relation between the two? What does her saying her channel is a flop have to do with roses are red and an old tweet bitching at someone about time codes on a vid? New age abrupt visual-origin haiku.
