What a great community this has become. Thanks to all the members and mods for making this such a great place for discussion and bantz. And shout out to whoever put the link to IDB in the comment section of GG's blog where the site redirected to when it was down at that time. Otherwise, it would've taken a long time for my lurking eyes to find you all again.

I'm surprised they uploaded the 2nd part already. I thought they'd at least do it 3 days later at the earliest. I wonder why they did this? It's not practical. This will just overshadow their upload yesterday . Not that I'm not grateful. I'm just..... weirded out by this.

they're so precious and smol beans. i hope someday we can somehow play the mark of oxin. phil must've had immense patience and time to do all this in /only/ six weeks like damn that's some dedication, philly. but it was cute! death to the innocent!phil branding omg i live for phil's inappropriate comments.

i hope someday phil decides to make a sequel to the mark of oxin, though. that'd be nice. but if not i understand, life gets in the way

I think I liked part 2 better than the beginning. I'm going to have to rewatch for my thoughts to be coherent but I love that when they played this we got a glimpse into real Phil. I know nobody is the same at 14 as they are at 30 but to see how complex his mind was- His public persona never really meshed with the boy who was obsessed with Buffy and horror movies - but seeing things like his old horror movie or this game reinforce that we only see a small part of who he is.

Also: another strong hint for Phil Lester, game developer. I just hope that if he goes that route he doesn't give up YouTube completely- I'd miss him

I'm not saying it's a proof of anything cause I know it's not... but I like how their plushies have no personal space between them.

i was really surprised about part 2 already as well -- maybe there's a main channel video coming up which they didn't want to interfere with? but it was a pleasant surprise, so i'm definitely not complaining.

something that stuck out to me especially and what i wanted to comment on was how genuine dan's praise seemed though -- he's out there attributing all sorts of grand adjectives to something phil made (life-changing, nobel prize winning, better than undertale, should be made into a professional game) and sounds sarcastic sometimes or mocks certain aspects, but then he goes out of his way to make sure everyone knows that yes, there were some aspects of it that sucked a bit because phil was 14 when he made it, but that he genuinely enjoyed himself and had fun and was immersed in the storyline.

yesterday's video was definitely one of my favourites and this one's up there right next to it. i'll definitely come back to both of them. to me, they have a really nice and relaxing atmosphere, i liked the #bants (made me laugh out loud several times), but i also enjoyed the gameplay. it's really creative -- i was especially impressed with the designs and the song choices to match the mood (also how tf did dan recognize all of them in 0.5 seconds). i also liked the two plot twists at the end of both parts and the fact that phil kind of subversed alex's character at the end? -- it was kind of cool how the entire time you think that the mark is probably going to be some amazing Main Character Thing and then it does turn out that it is, only for the game to be like i also didn't think i would ever feel nostalgic about lolrandom humour, but here we are, the mark of oxin managed it.

okay i could ramble about this for 20 minutes more but i'll stop now! tl;dr, i liked the new video and i'm emotional.

[heavy evangelion spoiler] I didn't expect part two would come so soon? And 40 minutes? What is life? I even turned off my Mass Effect Andromeda to watch this video. That's how much I loved part one. Dan praising Phil, especially at the end, and Phil's little "thank you" warmed my heart. It's so adorable, Dan is so genuinely proud and impressed, Phil is also quite proud and you could see how much he enjoyed that Dan played and liked it. These two videos will be on my non-existent all time favourites list for so many reasons. It reminded me of why I am a Philgirl through and through

Honestly, if Phil took the time and turned this story into a professionally developed game, it could actually be a really good game. I genuinely like the whole concept. But I don't know much about games, so maybe I'm wrong

I liked this even better than the first one.

Good to know Phil was also once a normal sex obsessed teenage boy, putting threesomes into his game. I died at that part, mostly at their reactions. Dan being speechless is a rare sight An MMF threesome though.. interesting.

They might be kidding but they could totally get the funding to make a game, be it a sequel to this or something more on the Dan & Phil brand. OR what if they aren't kidding and their new secret project is a game and this is just part of the reveal?? THAT COMMENT ABOUT PHIL'S FUTURE IN GAME DEVELOPMENT AS WELL

some timestamps/things i noticed/things that surprised me:

1) I have 4 ads on this video. 4. What???
2) 11:27 - threesome. Wow, 14 year old Phil, that was unexpected. Their reactions were quite funny. 'he's gonna be worn out' go on Phil
3) 32:20 - 'Tumblr need the gay shit' referring to Phil asking if people would ship Jake and Alex or...(was cut off by Dan) - Took me by surprise, not sure how to take it, just made me think of the phandom
4) The ending. Nice plot twist Phil, surprising. Son of Satan, that's a storyline I can get behind. Very dark.

Sad this series had ended so quickly, thought they would of left some time between episodes. Hopefully the next series is a little longer. Also, any news on whether they are planning on doing an 1hr or so episode for Horse Prince? Are they doing that or carrying on with the smaller episodes?

Also, Alex was Dan and Phil was voicing Jake- don't know if they intended to full on shade the Tumblr phandom (Dan is a self-proclaimed Tumblr lover) or if it was a more tongue-in-cheek comment- like a "we know you know" type of comment

That pub being literally lit with green light and being the busiest place in the game, everyone there spinning around and having lightning-fast threesomes, that was funny. Good twist again, wow. I loved Dan going back to check out the other option and the hint of a sequel that Phil never made. It ended pretty abruptly on that note so exploring that would be interesting. What does your typical boy hero do after that happens?

Game developer, book or movie-writer, Phil could turn his creative brain to a few things. Dan jokes about Kickstarting and all the skills they'd need, heck they can have any production company they want with their following ready to buy what they make, but with the size and creativity of the phandom they could probably crowd-source it all (would be a logistical nightmare, though, I imagine).

They both looked so goddamn pretty in this too. I've just slammed hard into the trashcan for Cole Sprouse as Jughead (thanks Tumblr gifs for introducing me to him before I even saw Riverdale), but this video brought me back. Dan's Tumblr shipping quip was funny. People do need the gay shit cos too few mainstream things provide it.

Just when I thought I couldn't love him more, he put Beastie Boys' Intergalactic.
