I don't know if Phil really took the picture of Dan with the baby, but if he did... well, that's the most anti-bro they have ever been (and according to Dan's hairstyle, this seems to be around 2012 too).
(I was also looking for Dan's photo in hospital in 2010 (I think) but I can't find it).

re: 2012 break up theory: what doesn't fit into this picture, imo, is that they moved to London in the summer of 2012. Now, moving flats is a huge deal in terms of money (where I live at least, but I think this might apply to the UK too?). Moving with your parter to an expensive flat in an expensive city wouldn't be the wisest idea if your relationship was rocky/close to a break up, which is why I think the tension was due to other reasons (not knowing how to cope with all the sudden YT fame, voldy being on tumblr again, the stress of moving to a new city...).

Did Dan ever mention (or the sleuths uncovered) the reason for that hospitalization? Was it an emergency, or some sort of routine admission for minor surgery?

I don't think he ever did explain the actual reason, even though he made a video about it. I remember this topic being discussed in the other forum, but I don't think there was a clear conclusion.

Semi-off topic but also not really; any kpop fans out there who clicked on Jessica's MV for Love Me The Same and thought they landed themselves in a fantasy of Phil's daily life if Dan didn't exist? It includes a cactus, eating pancakes, romantically feeding pancakes to the cactus and at some point an apartment full of houseplants. It was like watching a Korean female version of Phil's dream life and it's all I can concentrate on. Damn you

Cheesy or not, I agree with you. Both of them are accidental model Howell and Lester for each other all the time and that really tells us something about the way they perceive their relationship, whatever it is.

That first one is one of my favortite pics of Dan, and the fact that Phil took it, makes it even better.

Just popping on to say all these Phil from Dan's POV/Dan from Phil's posts are like sarsaparilla for the soul. Yesterday, things got a bit heady and I'm all for the critique but it's nice to see how quickly idb can swing from one extreme to the other. The content drought is no joke but I just can't imagine that they're holding out on us completely.
