RE the recent conversation about game choice on DAPG, i think it's also v possible that they think the vast majority of their audience don't care about more "serious" games? obviously dan's been very explicit in the past about the need to play games which allow them to maintain an acceptable level of "bants", but they also might have the perception that their (young, female, tumblr-based) audience prefers websites and flash games to more traditional video games (even though in a lot of cases this probably isn't true)

Oh wow, I know you're just theorizing but it would be pretty stupid for them to think that. A big part of their audience is interested in (mainstream) alternative popculture, of which geek culture and thus video games is a big part of. Of course not every fan of D&P is a "gamer" but I've seen a fair share of video game related Phanart and their more story heavy games (Undertale, Pokémon??) have been met with nothing but positive in the past.
(sorry I keep coming back to this, you guys have come up with more than enough logical reasons for them not to play the kind of games I'd like them to play haha)

also my dream of them playing bioware games or Life is Strange is probably never gonna happen because reasons

i think phil said that the videos with hazel were coming in the beginning of april. She uploads on Fridays-Saturdays i think. Maybe this week? But then he will have two collabs in a row on his channel and he said there would be other videos in between.And Later on april the louise collabs.

I was having serous GG drawbacks found this while going through the comments, good I did that. I'm so glad that w started a separate forum and that Jhamba is among us once more I really miss you guys and your opinions you are all amazing with moving discussions laong. I went on phantarey because I needed to see opinions on the video and saw so much negativity for Dan especially that was unjustified. I love that here there is only constructive criticism on their content and channels and not unnecessary hate. Anyway I loved the new video. I live for Dan praising Phil and his thinking and they looked so good in it. I thought that Phil tapping Dans head was natural but than he realized it and than childishly tapped his own pulling himself back into AP persona which was an interesting quick transformation. I did watch some old deleted Phil vids for his anniversary and fell in love again. I want him to do a video just for 10 years.....we are still waiting Phil!

Dan & Phil Studies would be a pretty great university course. Well, until Phil finds out about it and sues the heck out of the University..

For homework students are required to make posts of minimum 250 words at least every other day on IDB forum.

In class they watch videos, read tweets, etc. and discuss things like persuasive techniques, psychology, the science of humor, and the complex sociological factors at play.

At the end of term all students must write a ten-page thesis on whether or not Phan is real.

halfterms: prepare a powerpoint presentation to support your thesis wether or not voldy was real.

Nothing would make me happier then seeing them play Bioware games, as I am Bioware trash (particularly Dragon Age Origins.) But for the reasons stated above, I feel like it might not happen. I feel sad about the fact that might hold back on certain choices or romance options because of what people might think. For instance, I can definitely see them wanting to romance Anders or Fenris instead of the duller female options in Dragon Age 2.

I totally get why D&P wouldn't want to start long, unmanagable series of serious gameplay, or ruin their personal first experience of new games. But it's not like app and flash games are the ONLY alternatives. Old school console games à la Mortal Kombat and Tekken? Multiplayer mode in games like Halo and Portal? Super short series like Donkey Kong and Bishi-bashi? (Funny how all my spontaneous suggestions just happened to be multiplayer games hmmmmmm... :ugeek: *strokes beard*)
