Well, there we go. Can't say I wasn't expecting the liveshow to go like that/him to downplay everything.

Although he made some comment about throwing everything out the window bc he confronted everything which I found interesting. I hope phanshows uploads the show!

Funny that he told us "we deserved it" and "I deserved it" in regards to what I can only assume would be the emotional rollercoaster he caused.

Well that was a rollercoaster of a live show.

Here are my notes on it:
- Phil’s initials should be ACE apparently.
- Of course another person asking about Dan painting his nails. Just let it go people.
- Shut up Dan, that jacket looks great on you.
- Happy Dan listened to Phil and kept the part where he was hitting himself with his sunglasses in.
- Sure Dan, like you don’t watch or listen in on Phil’s live show, I believe you.
- Nice little shout out to IDB.
- Dan being a fake fan, not knowing who created ‘a tour of your brain’.
- Also dragging Phil’s toilet tag. Though now he thinks he should have done it in solidarity, because it was such a flop.
- We are still going to analyze that video, and you know it Dan.
- I feel like Dan really wants us to pester nerdy nummies into getting a blooper video.
- He now owns a kangaroo onsie, because of reasons.
- Give us the next Pokémon Go video already, and a new undertale one as well.
- Little bit sad that he just made a joke of his latest video, but that is what I expected to be honest.
- I didn’t know that people not being able to wink was a thing either.
- Always happy to spot some hobbit hair.
- Confirmation that Dan went to the BBQ with Phil, like we didn’t already know.
- I feel like we should get Phil started on dog breeds as soon as possible.
- Now he’s saying that eventually he needs to confront everything that he mentioned in the rap, so that took a bit of a turn.
- Seems like we will be getting to see Phil in all black, I’m looking forward to it, despite - Dan saying that it was really weird and just didn’t look right.
- Now it’s no longer a Dan album, but a Dan and Phil one, because of course.
- A nice shout out to shitty watercolors.
- We will go there Dan.
- Seems like we will get another live show before he leaves for Australia.

Everyone is spamming 'wtf even is your sexuality' and I'm so uncomfortqble

I mean it's a nice change from "is phan real/?/2" so whatever. He was expecting it and prepared to dodge, so kudos.

Good liveshow, but he seemed so exhausted near the end or was that just me? He also said putting all that stuff out there in the lyrics is stuff he'll have to confront eventually or something which was interesting. Maybe once tatinof is FULLY OVER JUST DIE ALREADY we can start a new chapter of some kind. I didn't like the noncommittal 'idk' about whether Phil would do it next, because please no. I don't see Phil getting too real and if he does I don't want it in my life lol. TOO REAL.

Interesting he thought Grace's was one of the best roasts because I could barely make it through that one, but Gabbie's was pretty good. I wish he finished his thought about Pewdiepie though, he said the name and then maybe got distracted. I wonder if he took the 'cringe compilation' line straight from his video.

Anyway, good liveshow! I feel bad for him getting on a neverending flight to Australia if he's still sick by then though. OH right and did he almost slip about the book? edit: oh and I watched Evan's liveshow before Dan's (have I mentioned lately that I hate myself?) and he had everyone asking if he watched Dan's roast and what he thought of it, and he said yes and it was ‘really on brand since it was like two months past the acceptable time to upload that challenge’. Totally off topic but I want to reiterate how annoying and bitter Evan comes across overall as a person in most situations and interactions. Just blearhgh.

About the elephant in the room: why is he so contradictory? literally, one minute he is saying it was a personal video and the next is considering it a shitpost that shouldn't be analyzed. I know he doesn't like when people over analyze the things he says, but I don't really see the harm when it's on a small forum like this. I could imagine he might mind some invasiveness/ stalking, but hopefully he wouldn't hate the forum for that.

I don't see why he would hate us? Specially if the main phandoms he kind of observes are the twitter and tumblr phandoms, which tend to be a bit over the top. We are quite positive, no drama, no weird things, constructive criticism is our jam...we are a nice bunch, that's what I'm trying to say

I always like Dan's live shows but this one made me feel sorry for him. At the beginning he looked uncomfortable, lightened up towards the middle, but then just seemed sad, emotional at the end.

It could be that he is being contradictory about the roast because there was a lot of truth in it and the waffling could be because it is a big/scary thing to be honest. I'm projecting a bit but some insecure people I know (and I am one of them) couch our truths in jokes because sometimes things matter too much and we want to feel we have a safety net if things get too real.

Idk I've always been an advocate for honest Dan and I've always wanted to know about Phan but I kind of don't want to anymore. I feel like it either could be real, it could be one of those "it's complicated" relationships, or they could just be friends but either way I feel like this is the first time in a while I've seen Dan be a real person and if he is as uncomfortable as he seems then I'm going to step back and just enjoy what both he and Phil give us

Everything he said in that ls about the roast was contradicting. Way to stay in your problematic brand, Dan. He's confusing the kids especially those from tumblr. Ugh. For me, everything he said in the roast was joke coz he was not roasting himself but his viewers and how they perceived him. He should try pushing his brand towards full on ambiguity.

I enjoyed his liveshow, I always knew it would be a good one after the video yesterday (that I have probably watched now about 200x). I'm surprised how ill he sounded tonight though, I thought he sounded worse than last week. I hope he can get some proper treatment from the GP (dude your GP needs to give you some steroids and an inhaler for a week alongside your antibiotics) because he'll need those lungs to be fixed before he flies/tries to get on stage.

I'm still waiting for him to show us what level Pokemon he's on now and I really want to know what team he picked. He keeps saying wait for the video but that's Phils game not his. Pfft.

I love IDB and I am a crazy stalker who loves to analyze everything. It's also cool that people can speak their mind and criticize/bitch about deppy but come on, that's only fair game if he hates us. We as a forum overanalyze everything, criticize everything, archive and never let any of those things he would like to forget actually get forgotten, remark on every single shortcomings he has and is already hyper-aware of. I am pretty sure for him, it must not be that nice. I know if I were in his place, I wouldn't like this forum lol.

After this (super laggy) and contradictory liveshow, I'm even more uncertain about my thoughts on the roast.. I really like how much he went for it and how he put it together, but I'm struggling with how seriously to take it / how much of it is really a joke compared to a joke barely covering the truth. Does that even make sense? Idk.
Anyhow, I need to rewatch that liveshow because I missed massive chunks due to the poor connection. I guess we just wait and see what happens re: sexuality mentions and so on in the future, but I can definitely see there being change on the horizon once all this tour business wraps up.
