RE Hazel: When you're in a hole, stop digging. She should have made one tweet and then stopped. Why is she dragging on this issue? Yeah, it was annoying, but she's only making it worse by drawing more attention towards it.

Tbh Jack and Dean will probably be the one only ones to get some work at Radio 1. They did monthly ones aswell and have covered shows for when presenters are off. Which is what I can see D & P doing in the future.
I wonder if they all know it was who cancelled the show? They must do! I bet a lot of them weren't happy but they wouldn't be on the radio without them. Jack and Dean can't be too mad as without D and P they wouldn't have any radio work at all.

Yeah and they actually did live broadcasts, others (Ben) were always prerecorded.
I know Dan kind of said that, but I don't think the story is quite so black and white. "We're going on tour, so cancel our show please," would they have that much say? Their input was probably taken into account, but that's why I'm hanging on anybody's word about it, I'd like more perspective. Dan could've been saving face a bit with his 'taking the show with us' comments, but idk. I really can't tell if they truly don't give a shit about R1 anymore or what, which is why I'm dying to know what they're doing after the tour..

More info - Gatwick is one of the London airports. (aw bye D&P from the whole of England, we will miss you for the next 3 months). I'm pretty sure he was flying to Florida though, I'm not sure if he was in departures or arrivals but the girl who met him seems to think he was looking for someone (& also, if you were a fan surely you'd know he was about to embark on a tour, right?). I did wonder if he was looking for Cornelia, but she tweeted at 11am she was with the postman, and Gatwick is at least 30 minutes from central London - the only flight to Florida from Gatwick today was at 13:45 and she would have had to been at the airport 3 hours before the flight so.....
also, the girl that met him had just landed back from her holiday so surely that means he would be in arrivals, very odd.

He might have been just looking for where to go, lord knows that we can't take people's impressions very seriously. But Cornelia also could have tweeted about the postman later than it'd happened, who knows.

We know that Phil is clumsy, but there is also definitely a clumsy side to Dan that we don't often hear about. such an awkward tall bean

i cant't believe how much drama there is on twitter and tumblr over hazels tweet

i saw several posts about how hazel should be able to show her friends affection without the phandom immediately jumping at her throat, and one really long text post about how the phandom negatively affects their careers as other 'more mainstream' youtubers don't wan't to collab with them as often because they are afraid of the phandom
please everyone should stop blowing everything out of proportion so much, on one hand the phandom is overreacting and apologizing way too much and on the other hand hazel is just really milking the whole situation now with her three tweets and all the attention she gets. yikes.

Dodie's young and newly popular and has gotten unwarranted phandom hate in the past so I can understand her, but she too needs to learn when to keep negativity to herself. [offtopic]The Hazel thing reminds me of a Twitter incident earlier this year between Hazel and Emma Blackery*, where Hazel impressivly managed to be the one looking like a douche out of the two of them. I mean that's quite the feat, considering Emma's Twitter game is super shady on the best of days, but Hazel made her look quite sane. It really made me question her judgement.

*Emma tweeted about having had a horrible day - her pet hamster died and then she found out Alan Rickman died too. Instead of showing empathy Hazel decided to retweet her(!) and publicly shame her and make a big deal about how utterly inappropriate it was to "compare a great actor to a hamster".
