They don't have to lurk here to have seen it though, it was all over twitter & tumblr too. Are there a lot of videos like that floating around? Like vines or whatever of the show? Because they did take down that full audio recording from the UK shows, didn't they? So at least there's precedent for them being serious about spoilers. But if there are a lot of clips of that length floating around and they only struck that one down.. I mean it probably was just because it was getting a lot of attention, but while they're at it they should probably strike a few more down too... for reasons.

(Of course if there aren't really any others, then whatever, nothing to read into but if there ARE.. better keep the strikes coming).

They have taken down other recorded footage of the show before. In this case, however, and I don't want to sound like I'm reaching, but I don't see why they would care about this particular clip if it wasn't for the content...as it isn't really a spoiler? The ISG questions and answers are different at every show, after all. Maybe I'm reading too much into things, idk.

Re: secret relationships. A datapoint:

I have a friend I've known for around 15 years. She's in her late 40s now. She has never discussed her sexuality with me or with anyone else that I know. She has a teenager who I can only assume was conceived through donor sperm, since one day she just showed up pregnant and didn't say a word about it. She shares her house with another woman. They don't talk about their relationship. There are enough bedrooms for every person to have their own.

She's not my closest friend in the world, but I've known her (and her roommate/girlfriend/wife?) for years and it's just one of those things that we all assume but nobody talks about it and we just handwave or deny when asked by other people.

Random thought that just occurred to me: yes, the vine is technically a spoiler, but as far as spoilers go, it doesn't reveal much, does it? All that you get from that seven seconds is that TATINOF includes ISG (public knowledge at this point) and that a physical phone is involved (which I wasn't aware of, what a cute detail). Other than that, it isn't really a spoiler. Dan and Phil have revealed much more through twitter replies and instagram posts.

Hi I'm a new user blah blah blah. I posted this in gg forum a couple days ago regarding their upload schedule. "Totally agree, thats the one thing that has really pissed me off about Dan and Phil from the start is their upload schedule. I try and work out what they do all day that they can't film, edit and upload videos, Its their freaking job and most of their videos don't need that much thinking c'mon look at the past year of videos I would say about 5 videos that require some creative thinking from them across all of their channels. In a way they are worse at gleamers at uploading and creating content at least most of the gleamers upload 1 main channel video and at least a vlog a week, they may not be the best content but it's still content for the fans and I would say Dan and Phil's content is probably around the same type of content of gleamers - very easy to make, quick, not much creative thinking and sit and chat type videos. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy most of their content when uploaded but I wish they would upload more, obviously there are times where they can't upload as much i.e. creating the tour and touring but even then they could pre film some videos to upload."

It's definitely less than desirable...it seems like their gaming channel is more regular than their other channels! Weird since those videos are so much longer...maybe because they require less creative energy?? lol. I don't really have a huge issue with it though, I don't let it super bother me, especially since I have a busy life with school and work I don't have much time to keep up with Youtubers like JackSepticEye who upload every day etc. It's just hard to keep up. But right now I'm on school and work break so I have lots of time to read and post here hahahah

First thing I saw this morning when I got on the page...it's been angry Phil'ed y'all. Game over. As many TATINOF videos as we've seen floating out there this one in particular gets wiped off the map? Hm. I'm lowkey like good on him, though, protecting the home front.

Yes, I believe Phil spent his free day typing some special DMs. He checked his tag on Tumblr a couple of hours ago because he liked a new post, so he surely saw the hot topic on the phandom and took measures.

Just in case you're curious, here's what he liked:

it took 4-5 hours total and over 5,000 blocks, but I am very happy with it.

I think there is a consensus their uploading schedule or lack of thereof sucks, irritates people and even make some people lose interest even though it also kinda works as an advantage for them as their subs are quite starved in their content and will then consume the little they give avidly.

However I do feel they are extremely busy besides videos with a lot of side projects and planning etc. so they are never gonna be as proficient as gleamers and I think that is fine. Dan has also explained before that it is impossible for him to come up with ideas all the time and that it creates a massive stress and that it is why the majority of youtubers are having mental breakdowns. I tend to agree with that. I think that if the quality of the video is good then it is worth it if we wait a bit more.
The problem with Dan and Phil the past months or years is that both the quantity and the quality of the videos have dropped (in my opinion) so that is why it is even more noticeable

also I saw that on updates and wtf is Phil's hair??? it looks terrible here

for the parfumes they are wearing, my guess is they were different parfumes but the same deodorant which they put a lot of before the m&g and the show for obvious reasons and end up smelling the same. (and they also have the same detergent and fabric softener and hair spray and probably use the same soap and shampoo on tour etc.)

Their upload schedule doesn’t really bother me, because there are always more than enough other videos for me to watch. Not to say that I would mind if they started posting more, especially gaming videos, but for now what they put out holds my interest enough to not really care that much about how often they post.

[offtopic]I had a friend in a "secret" relationship too. Most of our friends knew, but generally she had to keep it quiet, because her parents are very homophobic (still a shock to me. I knew them as very kind and open people untill i heard that).
Her girlfriend was out and not too happy about being a secret and my friend herself hated it too. I think that's what ruined the relationship and my friend went back to dating a guy and now this is oddly treated like a secret.
I don't know if she's gay or bi or whatever, but i'm sure she's not straight and it breaks my heart to watch her deny it not only to people around her, but also to herself. It's like she's trying to erase that part of her past and, in extension, a part of herself.
We're not really friends anymore, because i didn't like how she treated her girlfriend and i also believe that she has her parents' homophobia internalised (and that's why she's in denial about herself), but i still wish she'd accept herself more [/offtopic]
So yeah. Unfortunately not every secret relationship works out. That's part of why i'd really admire 's relationship, if it's a romantic one. Or even if it's platonic, who am i kidding?

That's awful, I really feel for her girlfriend, it must be a pretty awful situation and I can see how quickly a relationship like that could fall apart.

I know how she feels though, to be honest. I came out to my parents once, I took it back almost immediately because my mom was crying and my dad was so obviously enraged. It scared me to death. It doesn't really matter right now because I'm in a long-term relationship with a man, but it has me worried about what could happen in the future. I think I've softened the blow to my mom a little, though. I'm always going on about LGBT rights in detail, and it seems as though she's starting to be a bit more understanding. Hopefully if need be I can be open with her and not hurt my hypothetical future girlfriend. [/offtopic]

Oh no, i didn't mean to throw you into a crisis! If it makes you feel better, i've seen several parents come around eventually after initially reacting poorly to their kid's sexuality. There's no greater love than that between parents and their children, so that's the best motivation to open their closed mind. Good luck!

I'm somewhat understanding with their main channels. Their videos aren't artistic masterpieces that need weeks of planning and execution, but they usually try to make something that requires an (original) idea and those don't come easily to everybody.
Imo their channels look like they don't have the right ideas right now. Phil is doing better, but his videos seem a bit forced to mee too (but that could just be me). Dan's channel really doesn't leave any doubt with me that he's in a creative low. The few videos he's uploaded recently (or in over a year) have been collabs or something like reacting to old/baby videos. So i can't be angry at them for that

Their gaming channel is different though. They'd just need to sit down and get filming

Generally they both seem like they overthink everything way too much, especially Dan. Also i think they should learn to delegate their workload. I get that they don't want to give up any creative decisions, but there are a lot of things that could easily be done by someone else without losing authenticity. The planning of the tour comes to mind. They could have hired people to plan and organize while still being in control of the actual stageshow.

Not so long ago were being called unhealthily co-dependant. Now we're discussing the possibility of them being in an open relationship.

We need that DINOF vid.

Not that co-dependency is funny, but i did just laugh thinking that they couldn't even have an affair without the other.

I completely agree with you I wonder if some of you aren't used to the harshness of the artificial dye in natural sunlight? He looks good to me today.
