He has been in a long relationship since he started work in London (around 5 years or more, sorry too lazy to check), and he and his partner just bought an old house which he is now renovating on his own, he make a series of this in his channel. Jimmy and Phil and even Doug move in the same circle as they were the granddads of UK youtuber, hence they've known each other for awhile. Unlike Phil, Jimmy went into mainstream broadcasting early and hence his main profession is a presenter.

I love rewatching that interview, Phil looks comfortable and gives really good advice, not to mention #phimmy and Dan being quiet for once haha sorry Dan
I love seeing Phil with people other than Dan, and vice versa. More of that in 2017 pls. Otherwise I fear they may become one being via osmosis.

Hi! So I wanted to share some of my thoughts on Dan's latest live show. First of all, I liked the thumbnail for it, I mean, he could've made something more clickbaity and yet he didn't, which I appreciate - it's just his resting face and a cup (with Kanye's face on it, yup.) Also he could've easily called the show 'new risky video idea?!' in all caps or something like that. All the instances of Dan refusing to play the youtube game make me um- respect him more? Especially on danisnotinteresting, where he doesn't really have to play it 'cause it's just this chill little place where I believe I can see the most genuine version of him - I don't mind him giving his danisnotonfire's videos 'intriguing' titles though. But I believe not going overboard with clickbaits will help him in the long run. And by the way, that live show 'sweaty and sensual Danny' did quite badly in terms of views lol, there's no way he didn't notice it.

I don't know how to feel about him saying the reason he used to straighten his hair back in 2013 was that everybody else was doing it, and he'll start straightening it again when curly hair is not cool anymore. I wish he'd just embrace it and wear it curly whenever he feels like it, not when it's trendy and hence acceptable. But who am I to say this, I have my own insecurities I have to work on.

And also I noticed (I'm sorry if that's been brought up) how he said at around 37 mins that his favorite characters from 'The Walking Dead' and 'Steven Universe' are Carol and Garnet respectively, who are female - I feel like that's an important thing to note. I think if I were asked to choose my favorite character I would probably name the person I look up to; like, I don't know why Dan's said these two are his faves, but apparently it says something about how not everything is male-centered in a Dan universe.

^ With the bit about Dan's hair. I wish he sadly didn't feel the need to style his hair according to standards but I understand that he may feel insecure about it.

Don't know how significant this is, but Dan just liked some art describing him and Phil as 'youtube's greatest power couple'. It might just be me, but does it feel to anyone else as if he's getting less avoidant about suggestions of their couple status in the last couple of months?

I could be wrong, especially because I've only stanned them for about a year, but from what I can tell he's been less strict with regards to suggestions of them being together (other examples being the Bafta hand heart picture, the yuri on ice art depicting them and the firework gif around newyears). I feel he wouldn't have interacted with those pieces of art a while ago because they referenced the suggestive nature of their relationship status, but now he's even 'liked' one that directly states that they're a couple.. Not proof of anything but it makes me wonder

I don't think it was an accident, but I also don't think it was for the caption. He went on a phan art liking-spree and that's a really great piece. (But hey, if he wants to confirm their power couple status while doing so, I'm not complaining!)

But there's still the fact he must've acknowledged the description and is comfortable enough to like something that describes Deppy as a "power couple".

I'll save my shock for when he interacts with some nsfw art, otherwise this is just nice and in line with everything else he's been doing the past few months (and also because yes, the art is lovely). Also worth noting that it's just indicative of him not caring what other people think re: phan, not any kind of statement on reality (also he just told us not to read into his tumblr activity so lol). I might have a different reaction if Phil was the one who liked it though. Also Phil needs to work on his twitter etiquette, how dare he leave that 'i miss you' from Jimmy just hanging in the air like that, at least like the poor thing.

While I do think that it's not an accident, I think that he's just randomly liking phan art for some reason. Now, if that's Phil... I think we'll get a different reaction. I do hope that they'll keep this openness for all year long and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next... I mean, Dan wouldn't have touched that a year or so ago, but now... He's just randomly liking phan art without even reading the description (or he did, but couldn't care less about it).

Yeah; I don't think the power couple mention is particularly groundbreaking. It's nice to see his comfort level with it, because that didn't exist a few years ago, but it's not dramatic enough to make a huge statement. That's their whole game right now, though, isn't it? Small moments, small gestures, frequently, so nothing seems too far for very long.

Agree that it would make more of a statement coming from Phil though.
