It's...not really.
It's just an aesthetic trend. There's no real subculture around it.
And there's a more high fashion version of it that's been around for ages that floats somewhere between "Wasteland/Dystopian" and "Street Wear Runway Goth". See labels like: SkinGraft, Mother of London, etc.
I prefer the latter much more than Health Goth, which is much less rooted in actual goth subculture.

I loved this video, and I really hope they follow up on it like they waffled about. I think what I really liked (besides the game) was their natural enthusiasm. The bants didn't feel forced, and it was nice to see them out and about in London. Looking forward to Dan's new and improved cosplay outfit. Hope Phil can be convinced to wear the hat for the full video next time. He looks so good in hats.

As everyone else is saying, I too loved the video! If they updated regularly that would be the dream haha. Everyone has already mentioned my favourite moments so I won't go over them. It makes such a change from the usual gaming videos and makes a nice change of scenery.

i hope dan keeps his promise of going for a pokemon trainer aesthetic on every pokemon go video because i am sad we didn't get to see his butt in those leggings (that might or might not be 90% of the reason why i stan those leggings.... )

also, the video has over 400k views now, one of my favorite things to do when deppy upload a video is scroll through my subscription box and see how far down i have to go to find a video with more views than theirs

Same. I also check videos where they have a cameo and it's views compared to the yter's other videos. For example, their Michael's video now has 13k views compared to his 3k average views per video.

The latest Dil video took only 2days to reach 1m views which usually takes 5days-1week. I will not be surprised if it happens to the Pokemon Go video as well.

Damn that video was too cute and I am already tired of pokemon go talk, but I somehow always make exceptions when they play a game lol. Loved seeing them outside, like someone mentioned, it does feel like at DITL. It reminds me of this vlogs they would randomly do during the Manchester days. I really miss those videos so this was a nice to see.

This is also one of my favorite pastime activities.
it's fun to compare these "statistics" with people who have way more subscribers than them like zoella, pewdiepie, markplier, etc...
I know we joke about the power of the phandom but it's a very real thing.
I too think that Pokemon Go will reach 1M views by tomorrow, it attracts new people by it being popular now, the DITL format makes so many people watch, even the ones not interested in gaming and the video was so good that is making so many people rewatch it multiple times.

I'm so mad about this! And I'm really worried about them copyrighting the ls.
I really hope Deppy will go to youtube for their liveshows now. The youtube liveshow thing is actually pretty good and doesn't have many problems as younow with crashing.
I'm not seeing that many people freaking out but I guess it's because the phandom will find a way to save the ls but still... this is so shitty.

I'd love for them to do liveshows on YouTube, the feature works great to my knowledge. Better than Younow with less bullshit anyway. Whatever contract they have with them be damned because it's such a mess of a website. It just glitches and lags all the time, and they keep doing dumb stuff to ruin their website like having to log in to get rid of a popup while watching and now this. Let's see when (or if?) the boys put the paid subscription option up.

On the other hand... YouNow probably pays D&P real good money to keep them on their platform and I don't know how much YouTube pays for livestreams. There aren't really any ads on livestreams so I can imagine YouNow being a better deal for D&P. *All Bout The Money plays in the background*
