So the only youtubers i watch regulary (religiously) are Deppy. But yesterday i came across Markipliers most recent (i think) video; where he uploaded a cover of Ed Sherrans "Thinking Out Loud" while also playing the guitar :rockson: , and he said sth about this bieng a secret project he talked about with his like more regular viewers. And this got me thinking about "that week in March"
Okay hear me out :frantictyping: :garbage:
Didnt Dan say sth at the beggining of the year about getting like professional piano lessons :piano: to play better or sth. And one the of the theories about that "that week in March" is that it might be a secret project. What if this secret project is perhaps a duet with Dan playing the piano and Phil singing since we all know he has a deep voice and (in my imagination atleast) thats like good singing material, considering what we've heard before.
I dont know, i probably shouldnt waste more time imagining this because im only torturing myself but you know we never expected that Amazing baking video either or ever imagined that Dan would ever actually curl Phils hair for us on camera but it is 2017 (post baking universe and all :garbage: ) So just :please:
(Also I am in LOVE with all the emojis  :love1: )

lovvveeed the video, we've been blessed y'all :stan:

first, living for the phil nostalgia. Age seems to be a touchy subject so phil sharing something that he grew up with and showing dan how to play it.... that's my aesthetic. it felt like a high-stress version of bubble bobble.

second, if they think those robot arms resemble penises I'm concerned, that's definitely not what a penis should look like, they should get that checked out

(love how Dan says he liked the game in the end, even though it's obvious dan's not a fan of the stressful pixel!sonic  )

Loved the gaming vid. Need to watch it again. And again. That was a unique energy/dynamic, loved them both. (A high stress version of Bubble Bobble is a good analogy dontpanic.) While they said some pretty bold things, none of it really shocked me. They've been getting us acclimated for awhile now. (That or I was spoiled by reading here first.)

I assume the boys are back home now and I'm also glad their vacation was uninterrupted, with the exception of the airport. Does anyone else find it curious how unbalanced their social media interaction was? I mean if you don't count the assaggetti tweet, Dan only posted one thing from/about their vacation. Yes, he had his DINOF video go up last weekend and he responded to comments on that and on the DD gaming vid, but Phil also had a video, albeit a less personal one.

Phil posted a pic of the view from the plane, a boomerang of feeding fish, a few pics of his coloring book monster, tweeted about a fish trying to swim up his butt while snorkeling, a photo shoot with four pics even if they were all rejects, a video of him jumping in the water and a beautiful portrait of his sea given quiff and stubble. Dan posted a single pic of himself asleep in a donut pool ring taken by one of his pals. And yet that was the most popular one. I feel like this may be a metaphor for their careers...

I also don't mind the fringe, but agree that it's better with some volume to it. I'd be very satisfied with that, if he sees fit to continue denying the world a quiffed up Phil Lester. (a Phil in the Club type hairstyle would be my ideal, or that one picture where he's wearing glasses and a black jacket and his hair pushed back when he ran into a fan).

I'm not really sure how much I can picture this happening in reality, but... I would actually love it if they did? Maybe not some kind of official release but even just another song for charity (like The Internet Is Here was done, with the video and studio release) would be really fun.

Though now in the back of my mind I'm also trying to imagine what songs I'd want them to sing in a purely hypothetical way... for some reason all I can think is: studio version of Robot Unicorn Love Song, lmao.

I wonder if Phil is just slowly getting used to the age thing? I do think thirty was somewhat of a hurdle for him, if not personally (because we really don't have any indication of that) then in terms of his channel and the fear he spoke of in Edinburgh that leaving his twenties might be some kind of barrier for his viewers. But he might gradually be realizing that not only is that not really happening, but... it's not like aging his a temporary thing.

This is very true and it makes me sad. Phil is so underappreciated :(
I think the reason for this difference lies in the approach they have to posting content online, the same way it is for their channels. Phil will post/tweet anything random that happens to him or that he's doing. Dan wants to find the perfect shot or what he deems to be the best edgy relatable funny tweet of the week that will get him tons of retweets, so he ends up not posting much.

Also super unpopular opinion that I was almost scared to share, so please don't hate me: I love dan a lot, but his dounut pic makes me slightly uncomfortable to look at, idk why. I mean, he's very cute, but I had a completely different reaction to that picture than everyone else's.. must be the angle that makes it a bit weird for me. On the other hand, Phil's pics were glorious, including the ones of the coloring book (I love that he's 30 and not embarrassed to share with his 5+ millions twitter followers that he still likes coloring.. I do too).

Re: dapg video. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I think the fact that they were talking so fast and over each other a lot and saying a lot of weird shit lessened my enjoyment, because I didn't catch half of it the first time and I had to rewatch another time to understand it better (kinda hard for a non-native english speaker, I guess). I rarely rewatch gaming videos, because they're never as fun for me the second time around lol. Also the actual gameplay was boring to me, it reminded me a bit of crash bandicoot, except that that one had been a lot more entertaining.

Anyway I definitely agree that they're back home and I expect a dan's liveshow tomorrow (if I remember correctly he said he would go back to younow, but probably still stream later, after the great british bake off).

Honorable mention goes to:

i would put these under a spoiler, but who's complaining?

To add to the convo though, I mind the fringe a lot. Especially now that it seem to always be particularly blocky. He keeps doing that weird thing where he pushes it up with his fingers slightly so that it's a perfect diagonal line of hair across his forehead and it genuinely drives me nuts. Phil, pls. Quiff it up. :pls:

I wouldn't mind a fringe if it wasn't cut and styled in such an awful way. But it goes in a straight line across his forehead like a lopsided helmet, it has lost all the volume it used to have, the ends are really choppy and fug and he really needs to keep those sides longer because it looks particularly shite when they're short (longer sides kinda hide the choppy ends of the fringe). It also does his odd shaped head no real favors but that's the least of my problems with his haircut but it really bothers my best friend a lot so I thought I'd mention it. A better styled not-emo fringe I'd be down for, but pushing that shit back is imo the best option.

First things first, Fabrice needs to go. I can't believe they actually tracked that fucker down after he left the salon they wrnt to so they could continue going to him. All these fine hair stylists in London which they can definitely afford and they go to a guy whose name reminds me of air freshener. I just really want a good stylist to get their hands on Philly.

Speaking of Fabrice - didn't he try to sell Phil's hair on eBay? Or how did that story ever play out? I know know the part that Phil tells in an AP video, which is why I am familiar with the hair dresser's name (and they heard it again in liveshows). But yeah, the boys could need a new hair dresser - Dan's cutting his own hair now (though I am pretty sure that it was secretly Phil cause how else do you reach the back of your head) and Phil's fringe "corner" looks like it was chopped off pretty weirdly?

If you look at the video it's a bit easier to see than in a still frame.

(Sorry for making another post so soon, but I've wondered about the Fabrice thing for a while!)

Pretty sure it was just a troll who took a picture of some chopped off black hair on the floor and passed it off as Phil's.

How lovely to open the page and see some Phil pictures, especially Phil with glasses and hair pushed back. Thank you for the service you're doing to this community :stan:

I think I'm in the minority that thinks the fringe actually really suits Phil? I love him all the time, but for example I was never a big fan of the full quiff in Phil in the club, I think he looks good in his fringe. The pushed up hair from his beach selfie, however, I'm extremely here for that. <3

Though I do agree that it needs more volume, but then again my heart will forever belong to 2009 fluffy Phil, he looked so hot with that hairstyle - and this might be my former-emo soul speaking
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.

Sonic Mania timestamps

:08 - We're not even into double digit seconds with this video and it's about furries.
:38 - Flashback to 2010 Dan and Phil playing Sonic.
1:26 - Dan waxing poetic about pixel art. (Phil asks if Sonic is waving his finger 'no' or a sassy 'yes'.)
1:49 - Dan likes playing Tails because it's closer to his furso-
1:53 - Dan talks about when he was eight roleplaying as a psychic Hedgehog.
2:40 - Dan is too young to remember the first Sonic game. Phil is not. (He makes a face.)
2:55 - "So keep up, biatch." And this is the moment I knew I was going to love this video.
4:26 - Phil misses a secret and says his six year old self would not be pleased.
4:38 - Dan starts to talk about how these games are hard and not enjoyable.
5:05 - Phil plays a bonus level and Dan says he's just there to support Phil.
5:30 - So much ball talk. Blue balls. Phil tries to stop Dan from finishing a sentence, and then moments later sings "He'll be coming 'round the mountain when he comes." and then talks about tasting an emeraldussy. Dude, you should have just let Dan talk.
6:32 - I love Dan asking Phil to explain things.
6:35 - More blue balls jokes: "Wow, this person really loves holding out for Sonic. "Yeah."
6:42 - "You get those blue balls, Phil."
6:58 - Dan bragging about Phil's pro skills.
7:12- Phil: "My spine is tingling... in a bad way."
7:17 - Dan: "What, metaphorically, is happening with Sonic being blue balled in this alternate dimension?" "Phil: He's having a fever dream, he doesn't know where he is."
7:46 - This level is giving Phil motion sickness.
7:55 - Dan says Phil has peaked.
8:06 - Phil says "Tokey-dingdong." oh no it's contagious
8:34 - Dan: "Now make out."
8:42 - Dan is impressed by how much Phil knows about Sonic, asks if Phil has a secret Deviant account. Phil says he does.
8:58 - Phil asks Dan if he wants to swap since Dan isn't doing anything, Dan wants Phil to keep playing.
9:06 - Phil: "See, I'm a nice person that shares." Dan:[muttering]"Only because this is being filmed."
9:08 - Phil starts to sing "show me..." and Dan comments how not on brand that ditty being stuck in Phil's head is.
10:02 - Dan misspeaks "bonus" as "boner" and Phil repeats him.
10:10 - Phil tells Dan to stop breathing. Snarky snarky.
10:52 - Fricky frack, we can't go back.
11:02 - Bruh. Brah. BRUH. Bros who brunch.
11:17 - Phil says Quiz in the DAPC voice, trolls Dan about Robotnik's name.
11:43 - "What does Sonic do in his spare time?" Phil asking Dan in a soft kind of flirty voice.
12:27 - Screechy Dan makes a cameo when he messes up the ball level, momentarily turns pouty.
12:53 - How do I even timestamp a minute's worth of anal sex references? Phil says it looks like a penis, Dan says he mounts the dong, Phil says mount him, Phil says 'I'm in his butt,' Dan says 'I've taken one hole damage.'
13:33 - Forty seconds after riding the dong, Dan says he's had a wholesome time playing.
13:44 - Phil wants to adopt a character as "our new pet" and then changes it to caddy lad. Not sure what that change was meant to do... is dirty safer than domestic?
14:27 - The game makes Dan want to put a fursuit on. (A question posed by Phil.)
14:34 - "No it wasn't. Don't sue us."
14:53 - "What other inappropriate jokes will Phil shockingly make to disgust us all?" Dan acknowledging Phil's filthy mind/mouth... interesting.

So I was bored and browsing through Firebox's new stuff, and I now petition for Dan and Phil to play their new game, Dick Match. https://www.firebox.com/Dick-Match/p8108 (I hope that link works, I don't know how to do this!)

Mostly kidding because I don't think the gameplay would be particularly exciting, but I like to imagine them playing it. And like, they've been known to buy a lot of the games on Firebox...

On the subject of Phil's hair: we... we all agree that he dyes it, right?

I always wonder if he dyes it himself or if he gets Fabrice to do it. There's something just so precious to me about Phil in the bathroom with a towel round his shoulders and some plastic gloves on, glooping a load of L'oreal Excellence onto his head for some reason.

I'm almost positive he dyes it himself, since he did that video where they sent him the wrong color in the shopping video and he decided to just use it anyway and attempt to dye his hair blue. (Still sad that didn't really take.)

Tbh, if he's been dyeing his own hair for years he should not be this bad at it (video for reference). I guess he doesn't have a mirror and only the camera preview, but he's still doing a pretty poor job. Dark dye like that stains your forehead for a good 1-2 days unless you scrub it off (and then you just have red skin there instead), so you really wanna avoid that.

I think :love2: that Dan dyes his hair :garbage: (Please don't disprove my llittle happiness bubble over here)

Actually, I remembered the video wrong - I thought they sent the wrong hair dye but he seems to just be saying the box mysteriously appeared in his bag. I'm not sure if I believe that but I suppose it is a point toward him not dying his own hair.

There are old tweets about him dyeing his hair himself and accidentally covering the bathroom with dye so he at least used to do it himself.

Do you mean the "dying my hair. trying not to turn the entire bathroom black" one? I feel like I would use "dyeing my hair" to refer to if I was getting my hair dyed, no matter who was doing the dyeing.
