Phil posted a pic of the view from the plane, a boomerang of feeding fish, a few pics of his coloring book monster, tweeted about a fish trying to swim up his butt while snorkeling, a photo shoot with four pics even if they were all rejects, a video of him jumping in the water and a beautiful portrait of his sea given quiff and stubble. Dan posted a single pic of himself asleep in a donut pool ring taken by one of his pals. And yet that was the most popular one. I feel like this may be a metaphor for their careers...
This is very true and it makes me sad. Phil is so underappreciated
I think the reason for this difference lies in the approach they have to posting content online, the same way it is for their channels. Phil will post/tweet anything random that happens to him or that he's doing. Dan wants to find the perfect shot or what he deems to be the best edgy relatable funny tweet of the week that will get him tons of retweets, so he ends up not posting much.
Also super unpopular opinion that I was almost scared to share, so please don't hate me: I love dan a lot, but his dounut pic makes me slightly uncomfortable to look at, idk why. I mean, he's very cute, but I had a completely different reaction to that picture than everyone else's.. must be the angle that makes it a bit weird for me. On the other hand, Phil's pics were glorious, including the ones of the coloring book (I love that he's 30 and not embarrassed to share with his 5+ millions twitter followers that he still likes coloring.. I do too).
Re: dapg video. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I think the fact that they were talking so fast and over each other a lot and saying a lot of weird shit lessened my enjoyment, because I didn't catch half of it the first time and I had to rewatch another time to understand it better (kinda hard for a non-native english speaker, I guess). I rarely rewatch gaming videos, because they're never as fun for me the second time around lol. Also the actual gameplay was boring to me, it reminded me a bit of crash bandicoot, except that that one had been a lot more entertaining.
Anyway I definitely agree that they're back home and I expect a dan's liveshow tomorrow (if I remember correctly he said he would go back to younow, but probably still stream later, after the great british bake off).
