Maybe they ought to agree on a "no mooning, wear underpants on weekdays, keep 10 hour naked sessions for me-time sort of rule"
Please don't, cherry lube stains are so hard to remove

Yea, the rules all scream obv fan trolling to me. It's highly unlikely that they just left that sheet of paper plainly visible throughout the video 'by accident'. The whole idea of writing down 'house rules' and putting them on the piano (really) makes it look like they live in a college dorm bathroom ...
you do realize having general rules for yourself and your room mate is not that uncommon, right? And, having rules like the ones on that paper is very common, especially among procrastinators. And, I really don't think they were into the idea of trolling fans at that point, since that was after the voldy leak, and around the time Dan kept getting mad at people for assuming he was in a relationship with Phil.
Yea i know it's not uncommon and there's no way we can determine with any sort of certainty if it's a prank or not.
For me, it's the combination of a few elements that make me think it's a prank.
1) fits their sense of humor. They are giant trolls who like to play with all the 'phan lore'. Dan's cameo's in Phil's collabs with casper to me are pure trolling of the 'mom' meme (milk and cookies anyone?) and all the talk about how they hide in each other rooms sometimes .. (just chilling here on the floor

).
Also, i think we have different opinions of this but i think voldy
is a prank video they decided was to crude and I'm also not on board with the idea that that period was so tense that they would (or cared to) stop playing jokes with the people who shipped them.
2) It really looks like the whole rules pages was made sorta haphazardly, and the content that is deciphered so far doesn't fit the sort of rules you would commonly find in a house. Nothing about chores, taking out trash, paying bills or the like. Not saying you can't make other sheets of rules of the type we're discussing, but that's less common. I also think the placement of the rules in the video is a bit odd at least, if they are meant to be taken seriously. I don't know if they worked with lightening and the like back then, and for sure things can end up in their video's which wasn't supposed to be shown ( as became painfully clear in the making of the book vid) ... it's just another element that makes it unlikely, imo, that's the rules are real.
3) (very much more speculative) I understand that house rules can be helpful for you and many other people Jhamba, but ... i don't think D&P are keen on making such rules for themselves. That's just my intuition though.
I'm very much a procrastinator and no sheet of paper would change that. I'd find it insulting really if my roommate tried to change my procrastinating ways by pointing at some rule about how we agreed to do x, y or z. Then again, I'd never agree to such rules, even if i could sign as Dan Lester xd
4) i'm sorry for using bullet points and promise to not email you my powerpoint presentation of phan hatin' arguments
