Legit, though. when I first saw their itinerary, I thought that they may have seriously misjudged the size of North America, yet they just kept adding dates except, you know, in Canada I'm not still bitter. For two people who seem moderately high matainence, it's not going to be an easy tour, and I hope they don't actually burn out.

Yeah I know It's mostly the bit about Tom I found interesting because he was mentioned a few times in the discussion.

Aw so Jack & Dean had a nice enough final radio show; they said they've been assured that they have more work coming in the future and it's not the end etc. They did their goodbyes and then after the second-last song were like 'oh well we have another 30 seconds oops' and listed a few of their highlights (Big Weekend and specific interviews) and then saved it (imo) by Dean saying "and thank you to Dan & Phil" and how it started with a Facebook message (asking them to host I guess?) and ended here. It was nice.

I still am in awe of the tour, like it seems such a tight schedule, not only from a stress point of view but I would be constantly worried about stuff like traffic, if something broke ...

For Dan's bithday I think they will fly before to Vegas but my expectation for a vegas video is of an epic troll one.

P.S:Only today I saw this video: did it ever happen someting like at 53:00? Apart from the Phan swedish girl?

I've always been crew not performer so I can't speak from personal experience, but from what I've observed of the bands I've been with, the fatigue of performing nightly wears on you more than the travel does.
I was thinking about it and theirs might be a unique situation in terms of response to traveling.
Usually what happens is that for the first week or so, tour bus life is fun and exciting. After that, you get a bit of cabin fever and want to spend as much time as possible off the bus. You start making excuses to do things like stop at Middle America Wal-Marts to buy silly things. Shortly after that comes the phase of "tour bubble", where you start to feel like the bus is your home and the outside world is scary and loud and annoying.

My roommate's band has a very similar fanbase to Deppy and I've literally had to drive him away from venues as young girls screamed and pounded on the windows of my car. When you know that a response like that is just outside your door, you start to feel like the bus is your safe place and you disconnect yourself from the outside world. "Tour Bubble" is a very common thing. On one of my tours, we started creating fake news stories to see how many people we could convince it was truth, because people started to disconnect from outside life so much they weren't sure what was real anymore.

On Warped Tour they literally have a plan in effect to battle this thing. It involves designating a "BBQ band" that sets up by the buses after every show and cooks and plays music to encourage the bands to not just hide on their buses, but actually venture out and talk to other people on the tour.

Deppy have a unique situation in that they are already rather reclusive and scared of the outside world so I am very interested to see how this will effect them. It's one thing when you just like hiding in your apartment, but can still occasionally walk to the market, or go see a film. With the stalker nature of their fans, it's going to be hard for them to leave the bus at all.

Maybe they'll get so tired of hitting the road every day that they'll warm up to the idea of a second Montreal show anyway. flattening their tires is a solid plan B

@cora808: Some evil guy from management will just have to steal Phil's anti-drving sickness pills and block the wifi signal on the bus. Before we lose them forever

If Phil gets behind the wheel of the bus he'll probably wind up killing everyone onboard (without meaning to...)

If I thought they'd be filming DAPG vids on the bus - (I said IF - I know it wouldn't ever happen!!!!) together will end up murdering Dil & Tabitha, and I don't see their merciful run on Undertale continuing past the Floridian border...!

The set wasn't very complicated, it was a big screen in the middle with a collage round it, and steps built into it. They also has extra stuff around the stage like the house plant and some boxes. It was kinda different in the uk though as they had one set and the dates were quite spread out bar a few that were one after the other, but the uk isn't as big as America. The show finishes mega early in the uk (9pm) so I guess the people who dismantle the stage will have time to get it down and make their way to the next city/state but it'll be a stretch for them. I'll be interested to see how they manage it.

that is so mortifying, I wanna dig myself a hole now and not climb out for weeks. Oh god. I hate audience questions with everything I have. I can't even bear to finish watching it, does anything interesting happen?

One thing with the UK tour (travel times) - they were able to go home in between certain shows. DEFINITELY between Belfast & Brighton (that's when they filmed the Hallowe'en baking video last year, and they did a joint LS at home before the final date at the Palladium.)

i hope they break one in before the start of tour, but maybe they're utilizing all that time for the vacation. it just seems like it would be easier to get it out of the way now

Oh, lord. This reminds me of the kids at school who would ask questions specifically relating to their own assignments or the cringey "can I go to the bathroom?" when the teacher is trying to help people. Like.... Jesus....
