All this genuine love and appreciation pouring out on both sides... When I saw the photos yesterday from the Clearwater M&G, honestly, my first thought was "they're starting to look just a tiny bit worse for wear." Not in a bad way. Those who've done tours probably know whether or not the first week or so can be the toughest, then you get into a groove with it. But the look in their eyes in that photo with the sign (especially Dan's )- you can see how much it all means to them. Plenty more where that came from fellas

Loved the creativity of the clearwater people, anyway my instance in the quote is that at first they didn't get the reference to pinof1 (as they were tired and overwelmed by the feelings) but shortly after they got it.

We just care too much about , like for thomas and leo, we are like "awww cute couple" but deep down we don't really give a shit about their life, maybe one shit, but a tiny one. For we just give them all the fuck in the world that we can ever possibly give, so we cannot afford to make even the tiniest mistake.

Slightly late (a bitch has to make that cash 9-5) but there is no chance they didn't get that PINOF reference. Its like one of their most famous lines!! Yeah I wouldn't remember one thing I said 7 years ago but equally I don't have a tribe of millions of rabid fangirls reminding me of shit I said 7 years ago on the daily.

And as someone said, its plastered all over TABINOF. I mean in a recent Undertale vid they saw a microwave and Phil straight away said mIIIcrowAAAve like Dan's 'onomatopoeia' in pinof 2 (I think it was 2?). Someone @replied Dan on twitter like 'I wasn't ready for the pinof reference' and he replied something like 'sorry we'll tw next time' so they're fully clued up on their old iconic shit. And that's less famous than 'this is the most fun I've ever had' so I don't believe for a second they didn't get the reference.

The undertale reference, on the other hand, was way more subtle, is less iconic and it took me a while to catch on too. His commenting/captioning was a bit confusing but I'm like 99% he got the pinof reference first, undertale second.

Also look how emo he is! CUTE! If everyone just stood up with signs saying something without a reference (which, if we assume he didn't get the pinof reference, is what it would have seemed to them) like 'Thank you Dan and Phil' I'm sure they'd find it lovely but I'm not convinced it would hit home as much as the actual sign seemingly did.

Anyway Thomas Sanders is bae and I want them to hang out more.

correct me if I'm wrong (i never actually got the book because I'm too afraid my roommates/friends/family would see it on my bookshelf, as I'm a closeted fan) but I thought that there was a collage page or something in tabinof where they wrote "this is the most fun I've ever had" as well? if that's the case, I don't see how dan would forget it. I also don't think he was being sarcastic when he said originally. I mean, you meet your idol/longtime crush, become friends (and most likely more) all while they collab with you to promote your new YouTube channel, which you've dreamt of starting for years?

This makes me so happy Dan's response is perfect. Throwing something like "dude" in there can really help to make someone feel that that's how you actually see them, without making a big deal of it.

With the poster references, I agree that he probably would have got the PINOF reference very quickly, and it was the Undertale one which he only noticed later. My guess is that when he said "even written in comic sans and papyras" he was thinking about tumblr's ironic love of those fonts, not Undertale. Then he noticed that there were two references, Undertale being the second and PINOF the first.

it being a deadpan, sarcastic remark doesn't mean that he was completely taking the piss. obviously he was having a great time, but closing a video that appears stupid with that seems more in line than being genuinely soppy on the camera over whiskers and funny questions. like i said, pinof has different memories for them, the video itself is less important than that day. plus, it's easy to forget something like that, it's not like he genuinely did not know, he might have just missed it when he first saw the sign, especially with post show giddiness. when it says 'we' and has mismatched fonts it's hardly a crazy idea that he missed the reference to a joking sentence.

This basically sums up my thoughts on it. Sure, it's believable he wouldn't remember something they said seven years ago - but this particular quote isn't singular to that one video.

I’m selfishly really hoping for a live show today, but I don’t have much faith it is going to happen. I would love to be proven wrong though.
