Oh yeah, I downloaded that video cause I'm trying to learn to do gifs (is not going so well xD) and is 2:49 min instead of the 2:36 that is now. I guess they decided it was boring to have the same intro in both videos, better go straight to the point

Good catch, seems like they cut it out! I was cringing so hard at that intro, even more seeing that they had it in both videos. Phil looks so uncomfortable trying to get his part in and being talked over by Dan. Scripted enthusiasm plus "professional" filming environment really doesnt do them any good...
In other news can you believe the movies are coming out tomorrow already?? I just realized this and almost couldnt believe it. Also what about the stuff they promised leading up to the release? So far there are only the two chat videos, or am I missing something? Do you think this has to do with yt making them push back stuff as Dan mentioned in the tweet?
Since I have been on vacation and havent posted here in a while (hello again!) just let me say: as somebody who hasnt seen the show live the trailer made me 100x more excited about the TATINOF movie. The documentary is something I know I'll enjoy, but the show I was still conflicted about. But seeing the production value and how much thought they seemed to have put into everything, looks definitely worth the watch! (...aaand even more salty about death of european tour fite me)

Has anybody have any idea how much the videos will cost? Surely deppy would have considered to mention the price so that the younger viewers can save up/beg their parents over time/save up money? I'm guessing each movie will be between 10-15 dollars/euros/pounds or whatever in price, but what if there were a cheaper package deal of two movies for twenty? I kind of wish I worked for YouTube now so I could give them this idea we already knew that the marketing for this was an absolute disaster but did we anticipate anything fluid or engaging? nope. roll on tomorrow so we can finally figure this out. hopefully we'll get another "gift" tonight and at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it's deppy taking a shit on my doorstep TMI sorry

I mean everybody knows dnp are joined by the hip, so hopefully they'd make a deal. But why would they if they could make extra cash? I'm guessing they will be 15-20 (in american dollars) each. Youtubers make it more expensive because more people will buy it. Plus wasn't Lily's like 15$? I'm guessing it will be around there.
I've noticed deppy keep on avoiding to tell us the cost of it. Maybe Dan's liveshow today?

I'm right there with you!! They really should've released the price ahead of time. Sadly this is a big learning experience for YTR and we're kinda guinea pigs.

WARNING: the cringe is strong, that or I'm getting very, very sick of the 7 second challenge being shoved in our face every time deppy advertise themselves
EDIT: wtf is with the lighting and editing for this? I really hope deppy have had MORE of a creative input in the movies than in these "gift" whoever designed these are really failing at basic lighting to say the least

Well, the problem is that prices vary from country to country (different currencies, YTR or no YTR, google play..), so they can't really mention the price.

what is that lighting? why is it so ugly? why is every single promotional material for that ytr release so damn ugly? This, the interviews, the headers, all the pictures on that official tumblr... dreadful angles, posing, photoshopping and colouring.
I find it very rude.

phil in that thumbnail doesn't even look like him, feel like they're really washed out or the lighting is just really, really intense. either way, it's making me feel weird
also, im in the UK so don't think YTR is out yet, so i can't get a free trial, if i buy them from youtube like on my debit card or something will they make me pay for a subscription? bc it's not out here yet and it wouldn't make sense but don't want to suddenly find out i've gotta pay monthly when it does come out. and i don't understand what will happen to the movies once we get them, bc there's no physical copies, will we be able to download them? or will they be saved onto youtube accounts? idk, i've never bought a YTR movie before (if no one knows, pls ignore me i'm just so confused lol) sorry for long post btw.

I love the 7 sec challenge and I miss the doing it every week on the radio shows
The name 5 cities from your american tour was the question I submitted but it didn't get chosen at the show, I'm glad I got to see them do it!!
That purple lighting is not flattering.
I'm pretty sure not mentioning the price is a contract thing.

On my page it says lilly is 9.99euro so 10, I hope it will not be more expensive as I really don't have money right now (uni+moving house=trouble). I would love a package deal but they surely would have mentioned it by now?
Rigt now I'm interested in dan's ls, will he be a little emotional? will he tell us something about their plans for tomorrow? one can only wish.

I found this funny but I'm easily entertained trash
Poor Dan, I went to work with hella ripped jeans at the butt and I was wearing bright fuschia pink undies too and nobody told me until I found out the hour before I clocked out, so yeah
Also daaaaaaamn Phil got some serious contour going on

I need Dan to do a liveshow just to see him stumble through a gritted-teeth explanation of why these promo videos are actually good. (Or else lowkey admit they aren't and try to explain how he and Phil had limited say in things.)

But didn't they say in an LS that Phil wasn't aware of Dan ripping his pants until after the show or am I remembering wrongly?
I like this version better though. This version where Phil thought that Dan ripping his pants improved the show.

The only part of that video that I really enjoyed (it actually made me laugh out loud):
Phil: That [explanation of the show] was good
Dan: Thank you
Phil: That was good
Dan: It's almost like I wrote it

I think this is the best "gift" we've had so far, the lack of script makes it less cringy and false than any of the other things they've given us. I agree though that it looks disgusting - why is everything YTR makes so harshly lit? You'd think, as a video making company, they'd know how to make aesthetically pleasing videos.
I agree that not mentioning the cost of the films is most likely a contract thing, I don't expect Dan will say much about it in his liveshow this morning if he does one for that reason

the lighting & editing for all the ytr promotion has been so unflattering (sorry deppy). but i don't think this was too bad, it was awkward but i would imagine they felt weird in front of the people watching from behind the camera. overall, there were enough cute moments to get me past the cringe. also, i think it's weird they didn't tweet about this video. i would honestly miss so much if it weren't for IDB.
i hope dan does a ls tonight and could maybe answer some last minute questions & lots of #spon. but we all have seen dan do a ls when he's nervous so tonight might be a bit tense, if he does one.

I like what Phil's voice does at 2:05ish when he says 'I was on the spot';
Dan's voice at the 'Thank you' at 2:16ish
and Phil's laugh at 2:27

I feel like they had more time to edit or make youtube edit this one and attempted to compensate for the bad lighting/colour correct it somehow. It still looks weird, but imo better than the first two. The 7SC - well they tried.

Same. I have mixed feeling about it, very nostalgic for the radio on the one hand, a bit annoying because of the dragged out app spon on the other.
Also waiting for Dan's ls, I wonder how he will be if he does one (he has to be in a pleasant mood because he's a professional lol).

i didn't think it' was too bad actually. yeah, all of there ytr things are a bit awkward and they look so fucking weird but this was the best one. it just being them doing the challenge was better than the kind of wooden, scripted explanations of what the movies are. i cringe just thinking about the earlier videos.
but all of these videos have really made me realise that them just doing their thing on their own terms are definitely better lmao.
i really hope dan does a liveshow tonight, i could use the distraction tbh.
and "spaghetti on a plate" what the hell dan??
idk if 'wooden' is the right word, but i couldn't really find a good one in english right now.
