Like many of you, I can definitely see some kind of tour happening! Especially since he's often spoken about wanting to go places they've never been before, that they haven't seen fans from the UK in two years and that meeting the people who watch their content is good for his mental health. Not sure what kind of tour it would be though...he's said "Never TATINOF again", so I'm not expecting any kind of big stage show.

I've seen some people mentioning a documentary but I also don't really know what that'd be about. What could they show us that they haven't already showed us or what would they be willing to show that we've never seen before?

The graphic design comment also threw me off. A graphic design contest would be nice for the artists in this fandom but it wouldn't be relevant for everyone else, would it? And other theories (game, book, merch) is kinda unlikely in my opinion. They just brought out a board game, Dan already confirmed that he isn't writing a book and why would he hype up merch like that? He literally said in the beginning of the live show that their merch is "the least important thing in life".

As for coming out, nope, not gonna happen anytime soon, I think.

Indeed! I love that throwback, especially as it's to such a cute and intimate video from so long ago. And as always, I recommend the full StickAid videos, which have even more 2010 giggles and sweetness.

Oh, I saw that some Youtubers who also play the Sims were given early access to the pets expansion pack and I hope the same goes for D&P (even though Dan mentioned they were still waiting for it yesterday), so we won't have to wait until next week for a new gaming video.

Sometimes I wonder how much Dan and Phil are actually enjoying this whole YouTube thing. I bring up Markiplier a lot, and he is probably my favourite YouTube because of how self-reflective and genuine he appears. He has a lot of rambly vlogs, recently took a hiatus and seems different now, and has always been very open to share his thoughts on being a YouTuber.

Dan and Phil, however, often give me the impression that they are not that much into it. Dan has his big talks about being a creative person with all those big plans, but often doesn't post for weeks or does filler-style content (DNA video and the like). The Dream Daddy series is dead, the liveshows are shorter and shorter, and the gaming channel has uploads replaced with less work-intensive livestreams. I know they say that they love to meet people and all that stuff, but that's another thing dizzy wrote about on her tumblr - they lie and we know that. So I feel like I can never quite get a real perspective on Dan and Phil. Eventually, everything will lead back to their desire for privacy and the relationship question, so they don't ever address any real things.

I am aware that YT is their job and they don't have to transparent or honest to make money. But if it's literally just their job, I wish they took a more professional approach. There are things they can improve on without revealing anything private - mainly communication. A more consistent upload schedule. Not being 30 minutes late for a liveshow. Not say cryptic things that people will discuss for months. I hope they are not becoming lazy because they know people will stick around for the mystery.

TL;DR: If they don't want for personal things to constantly overshadow everything, I wish they took a more professional approach and took their video creation job more seriously. If they want to be appreciated for being great creators and not just for being a cute ship, they need to step it up as well.

I'm not even trying to be a dick (I swear! It's just happening. I blame video withdrawal ), but why aren't we all theorizing about them starting another gaming channel (or multiple gaming channels)? He told us to look forward to videos and gaming channels. So if him saying 'meaning to share' rather than 'wanting to share' means something significant, rather than him just saying things that don't always come out correctly ("grames") or he, like most people, doesn't consult a dictionary before using a word to be sure it is 100% contextually appropriate instead of 60-70%, then I want gaming speculation held to the same standard of seriousness! Phil's starting a Shelter-only solo channel and Dan's going to start up his own channel for BotW in December and I'm here for them both. Plus a Truth Bombs-only collab channel where they play a game with a new guest weekly. For about 3 weeks until they run out of guests and then just kind of forget that channel exists. He said it, sooo. Bring on more gaming channels.

Maybe they've taken our 'play board games' demands to heart and are starting a board game only channel. Or! Even better! A channel that is nothing but them playing scrabble three hours a day six days a week. Graphic design applicable because they've partnered with Scrabble to design their own weekly unique boards that you can buy on danandphilshop dot com with free Dan and Phil themed alphabet stickers with every purchase. You gotta collect them all.

I don't have too much to add besides the fact that I really like what you're getting to here and generally agree quite a lot.

I think the problem is they're battling with the fact that their personal relationship is the reason they're so big in the first place. So, while they (or at least Dan) would love people to celebrate them for all their cool, awesome, creative work... That's just not how the cookie crumbles. One look at their video stats will tell you that. I image that must leave them feeling pretty stuck.

I didn't even realize he used the plurals of that lmao and I've rewatch the liveshow three times. But hey I'm all up for speculations about more gaming in their and our lives.

I'm also surprised the theory of Phil moving out to live with Sabrina and their child hasn't been brought up yet tbh

I was thinking the same thing We were talking a few pages back about what they would do after Youtube....Phil should definitely go into Marketing. He's got the #sponlife down.

How likely is it that they/Dan will take the opportunity to do another concept!vid like the bour announcement? I mean they've cushioned it enough that it won't be a horrible surprise like last time turned out to be so they've kind of learned what not to do. Or have we thoroughly enough crushed that kind of ambition in him and they'll just do a 'talk to camera' thing or literally just drop it on twitter and save explanations for liveshows? I kind of hope they make a full on video so they can feel the kind of excitement they wanted to generate for tab/tinof the first time round...

Phil’s tweet is funny, A+ for marketing and well done Dan if he has indeed stepped up his discipline game. Dream Daddy may have faded into the sad realm of Haru, but at least Dan got some tips. Also Phil told him exactly what would stop him

On the subject of feeling weird going to a meet and greet, I also went to one alone and most people were a lot younger, so much so that two 20 year-olds next to me in the queue said hi to me and how weird they felt being older, but it was great to chat with them and great to meet the guys. Even if I hadn’t had anyone to talk to, the atmosphere was fun. M&Gs are usually pretty quick, but you get your own little time with them which I found pretty special, even if it’s still their job I’ve always thought they are genuine about it. If they changed it to be less personal, but take more time eg the table idea people had, I’d still be interested.

Re tour: like rainydays said, I doubt they will come here: it's already hard enough to get big acts like musicians to do shows so I don't really imagine them being able to pull it off. If they do, hey, depends on how much and what it would be maybe I'd go and we can go together lol
But if, as I imagine, they're not coming here, then I don't really care much, sorry: I don't have time or money to travel abroad for the majority of next year between work and uni, so I wouldn't be able to go and enjoy. And if they go and end up doing what they did for TATINOF, aka focusing on that without sharing much of it because of the movies and the book and rarely upload, then I'd be happy for other people, but I'd also be salty af.
