Younow better get their shit together and make the quality of the streams better because with this new plan they have, more people will be flocking to watch it live so they don't have to pay to rewatch anything....and I can only imagine how that will slow everything down.

They've got to be shitting us if they think the quality of the current streams are worth paying for. If Deppy switches to a free livestream platform it will be a rightly deserved 'fuck you' to younow. I wonder if Phil will do a liveshow later today. Is it too much to hope for him to address this mess?

Anyway, I wonder how many vids will be in this Pokemon GO series. I'm guessing they'll want to film at least one for the gaming channel while they're in Aus.

I liked Pewds and PJ's video because they are so hard core about the game. Deppy's was more casual, which isn't a bad thing. I'm hoping they do some pokemon catching off camera to level up more. At higher levels, you encounter stronger pokemon and I just want to see the both of them rage when a rapidash escapes from them LOL. Either way I loved the video!

That video was so adorable, they genuinely seemed so happy and excited it was lovely awww I hope they do make a series out of it because it's fun seeing them out and about

Big thanks to the person who put the younow info up, I'd wondered why they do it and now I understand, I wouldn't mind getting a few grand for an hours work where I don't have to leave my house

Also, sorry to bring it back to this but the baking video is due soon and I watched a few of the nerdy nummies videos and have absolutely no idea how she's going to interact with the markiplier one was just awkward, I can only assume it's going to be Phil on his best CBBC behaviour and Dan being veeeeery toned down

Ps I completely agree with everyone, Phil is just outrageously gorgeous in the whole of that Pokemon video

Ugh I so hope they move to a different livestream platform. Their live shows are at 6am and 8am for me so it's often far more convenient for me to be able to watch them later on. Although after seeing those figures from visiblelurker I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed

I was so excited when they said it was going to be a series! I definitely hope they film one when they're in Australia DAP play pokemon go is easily one of my favourite Deppy vids already

Younow just wants to be like Twitch. You can pay to subscribe to people on there but to me. Twitch is a lot more interactive (most people do sub streams where subs can play and it is games not just watching someone talk for an hour!) and you don't have to be subbed to rewatch the previous streams.
I think younow has fucked themselves tbh.

I would much prefer them to move to youtube streaming. It is so much nicer. No lag. No stupid premium questions that just say "say hi to blah blah". They can just get questions from the chat.
I know MatPat said he doesn't put ads on his livestreams (because he doesn't want to) so there is probably a way of asking youtube to do it (if they are that desperate for money ). I don't think youtube would say no to them.

I can't see Phil mentioning it tonight. He doesn't like talking about anything controversial! I am hoping Dan mentions it on Tuesday though.

EDIT: Google answer about livestreams. Yes they can put ads on. They can preroll and midroll ads if they wanted too.

IKR! I just love his black pants/white shoes combo. But 1. I don't know how he keeps it clean 2. He lost so much weight I miss his Shakira hips and (Beyoncé) bum.

Younow: I don't have budget for YouNow subscription so NO. I'll just pray for the best. I'm sure was informed before this changes. Phil will unlikely discuss this issue so we'll need to wait for Dan. What I am scared of the youtube ls is their lack of motivation. I think Dan still enjoys the ls but Phil has his moods. I don't think we'll have a regular ls if they move. Do you have a binding contract just like in YouNow if you do ls in YouTube?

Perhaps I am part of the very very few, but I really like those black leggings/pants of Dans'. But more than that, I appreciate him wearing them, they are something different, and I like that. And the jacket Phil is wearing, very pretty design, and it suits him very well.

Quite a few vids in a short span of time, made me very greedy, really hoping for more soon, esp gaming vids.

The world may be going down the crapper, but deppy make me smile. (so if they're lurking, thank you ).

~conspiracy theory~ maybe d&p won't care about this whole younow situation and will keep their younow channels the way they currently are - with no 'subscribe' option. this means fans who can't afford to subscribe are on a more even playing field with fans who can (although obviously still excludes people in certain timezones). so it's more 'fair'. and additionally... it would be more difficult for people to record and upload their live shows. i assume there's still a way to record it as it happens live (sorry I'm not tech-y at all) but the capacity to re-upload live shows would be greatly reduced if people can't just come back later and do it. this would be good for them because over the years they've had certain classic dan and phil 'slip up' moments that they'd probably prefer didn't happen and couldn't be analysed afterwards (e.g. i dunno.. phil hiding the dan and phil dolls in the middle of a liveshow last year? or dan's infamous full time internet homo comment. lmao)

I wonder if these new shows will include VIP as well, since the Melbourne show is in the afternoon.

The new shows aren't added yet to the site, the one that says 7:30pm is the old one. Phil confirmed on twitter that it would be an afternoon show.

re: younow - I think they've mostly stuck with that site b/c they like it being a more lowkey/casual part of their internet presence. If they do move to youtube livestreaming - which I hope they do, or anywhere else really - I think they'd only stream on their sidechannels, not their mains. Archiving their liveshows on their main channels would make them a much bigger/more significant part of their presence, which I don't think they want.

Edit: I did see that, sweetmm, I found it pretty funny too! I love that the stock image of 'teenager on phone' is apparently just someone in D&P merch. I love seeing the phandom in unexpected places. (Not a funny news story at all, and I'm glad the kids were okay, but the pic did tickle me.)
