Just echoing everybody else, I loved this video, the flirting bants were hilarious!
And they seemed more natural in this one, especially Phil acting more relaxed and in-charge countered the bits where Dan was screaming well.

random fav. bit: at 12:15 when Dan started singing "turn it off" form the Book of Mormon.

I just love the bomb disposal videos so much. Any video where they work together instead of against each other makes me happy. Also, I don't like games and this one seems like something I might like. It's so different!

I particularly enjoy when Phil is reading the instructions to Dan. I like seeing him get to control stuff a little. It's a good look on him. Also, cute bants of course. They seemed particularly happy and smiley, which makes me happy and smiley.

Golf with friends next please!!

Wow, Dan can really be an obnoxious brat sometimes, poor Phil, that was a lot of impatience and insults I'd love them to play it again but the easier level. The new types of thing really threw them. Loved Dan's "wtf is this!" when he saw that weird pie chart. I wouldn't have figured that out very quickly either, I don't know what it was supposed to be.

I loooooove the bomb disposal videos, together with the golf videos they're literally the best thing going on in the D&P corner of the universe rn.

They're funny yet relaxed (ok maybe not the right word for disposing virtual bombs but they're not as fake hyper enthusiastic as in some other videos with games they don't actually care for is what I mean) and it always has a bunch of cute things going on with them being fond as fuck while simultaneously dragging each other. It's just so good, I rewatched immediately after it finished. Content like that gets me in a good mood~ Even if they've been flopping at this game spectacularly since the first one where they got too cocky (just play more easy levels to get used to things instead of going to fast you dummies..) I hope they'll continue this series for as long as possible
snokoplasmic wrote:is it just me or is phil so much better at this game than dan? especially when he has the manual, i got surprised at how quickly and efficiently he was getting to everything and getting things done
Yep I noticed this too, Dan wastes a lot of time unlike Phil who gets more to the point.

Same! The golf and bomb vids are what's in my replay list when I feel like rewatching games. Golf for when I want to relax, bomb when I want to be entertained. I keep noticing little things every time I rewatch a bomb one

I really wish they did the games in order so they could've had a better chance at beating each round. I love when they cooperate during games, the way they help each other out so naturally makes my little heart so happy.

Overall I loved this video a whole lot, even though I got kind of frustrated at how they're going about this whole game. Some things that stood out:

1) The many times they broke into songs. Things like this and the little duet they kept doing in the Undertale vids make me so happy! They're so domestic and in-sync during those times.
2) When Phil said "the upside down paragraph symbol" and Dan was legit interested/impressed. Tote out that English degree Phil!
3) "You fucking wot?" "The ant's eyelash?!" So many great little exchanges in this vid, a lot of which were quoted already. I loved all of them.
4) They're SO offended their communication skills were called into question. Boys, y'all are both over-dramatic dorks, but I love it

I just watched their gaming video, I loved it! (*^▽^*)

It was quite stressful watching them though, but they do work well together! It's so hard to work together in that game, I feel like I've gained a new level of appreciation for their collaboration skills after I tried (and failed) it with my friends.

And Dan not telling Phil about the 1 minute left to stop him from panicking, that was so nice of him! Made me smile (*´꒳`*)

Another thing I noticed is how differently they think! I mean, of course it's so obvious they're such different people but it's really well demonstrated by how they interpreted this symbol: Ѭ

To Dan, it's an upside down triangle on a horizontal Euro sign with a T coming out of it, to Phil ( he mentioned in the last bomb video) it's a spider. I think this shows their thinking styles perfectly! And I know close to nothing about brains and thinking styles and personalities and all that stuff, so I would like to see what you guys think as well! \(^o^)/

Just watch anthony's video (which was surprisingly good!) and I want to make sure I'm not crazy...Anthony and Deppy weren't actually in the same room, were they?

oh god i love that so much, i remember when it first showed up(was it the first video?) phil described it like "an alien man with a T coming out of his neck" and dan was like "....like a euro sign right?" totally one of my favorite parts of these videos, seeing how they interpret things

I really liked Anthony's video, although like others have said I was hoping for more Dan & Phil (especially some of the questions like the 30 year old one...)

I wasn't going to watch the bomb video since I have a law exam in like 4 hours and I'm so unprepared rip but I caved and watched it. I thought it was super fun and cute! They seemed quite flirty/happy and I loved Dan's bitchy moments ;)

They were skyping! Just like he was skyping with HolaSoyGerman :) Also I forgot to say but I loved Anthony's vid, it's one of my fave humour types. Dan and Phil weren't even my fave prt of the vid, oddly enough. I found some of the other YT's, even the ones I didn't know the names of, hilarious. I tend to not like Joey Graceffa because his personality is far too large and boisterous for me, but he was quite funny in the video! I rarely watched Smosh, but I'm subbing to Anthony's channel now. Not sure how much content I'll watch, but if it continue to be this amusing, I may find myself a regular viewer ;) who knows?

I love the very sync moment when they lost for the last time where Phil and Dan threw their hands up to the air.

Phil sounded so sad with his «yeah» at 19:10 and Dan looking at him, they were particularly lovely in this video.

This entire video was a bundle of joy and fun, but for me, the best moment happened at the very beginning - at the 00:55 mark, Dan did that thing he's been doing lately where he leans in super close and sort of juts out his neck, and normally Phil doesn't react to it, but today he did and it was honestly a great way for me to start the video. The way he said, "Okay, I'm ready," was so!!! domestic??? yet sassy????? and the look he gave Dan as he said it was so fond, and I'm fond of that entire exchange, and them in general.

Also, are those some red fox roots I see on Phil? Or am is it just wishful thinking?

I think he has some red coming through. Especially on the sides where his hair is shorter, harder to keep on top of dye when your hair is that short :D

Ahh I thought so! You're right, he'd have to dye it every couple days on the sides to keep up. Just give in to it, Phil, it suits you.

This is going to be a controversial opinion, but though I absolutely adored the previous two KTaNE videos, I thought this one was a lot more annoying.

I should preface this by saying, I am very good at this game. Me and my friends have beaten all of the levels. I don't think my annoyance stemmed from my experience though, because I really liked the previous two ones.

Dan was a bit too over the top for me. I know he was acting it up for the banter (which didn't really like banter), but his attitude was just grating (the sassy comments telling Phil to hurry up and blah sounding spiteful). My issue was that it didn't sound natural. It was just over exaggerated screeching at one point.

This episode almost felt like they were competing against each other to interpret the manual better, instead of actually working together to defuse the bomb.

Before anyone says that 'Phil is a grown man' etc etc, I agree 100%. I don't think anything Dan said affected Phil at all. I personally felt that it didn't lend to the video.

I found myself upset/frustrated when this video was over simply because I love them doing this series so damn much and I"m angry if they positioned themselves so that they find it too frustrating because they skipped so many very needed levels of practice.

That said, it was a flirty chemistry-filled fantastic experience. Just please don't let it genuinely be the last one. In fact, if there are people lurking who send premiums, use those bars for the greater good: make sure they know that this is a game people actually do love and want to see more of.

Yikes, it's taken me forever to catch up. First off, I am so, so sorry for the seemingly non-stop series of atrocities that Brits and Londoners have had to endure recently. It's been a sobering summer so far.

OK, on to the movie review. I'm going to have to disagree with D&P (and many IDB posters) on the Wonder Woman phenom - I think the movie was good, but not really good: 3/5 stars. I liked the production design, Chris Pine('s haircut,) and WW's naive character, but that's about it. I was yawning at its preachiness in the cutaways, and really was unimpressed with its direction / editing. Full disclosure: not really a fan of the (ridiculous) superhero genre, excepting when it's being parodied, ala Deadpool - and the fantastically disturbing performance of The Joker by Heath Ledger (that will NEVER be surpassed.)

Dan's latest Daniel Howell video: haven't seen it yet, but looking forward to it. I'm thinking I will like it based on spectrum of reviews voiced on IDB... Can't wait to watch the latest installment of the bomb squad video, definitely one of my favorite series on the gaming channel (along with golfing, and the Sims.) I can't believe I'm so far behind; I have no excuse.

Another bomb defusing video I really hope this wasn't the last one, it's actually my favourite series on their channel. It just shows their dynamic so well and they can't script it, so it's way more natural than other videos. Except for Dan's constant screaming, calm down mate, my neighbours think I'm getting murdered. Oh, wait, my neighbours are all old and don't hear very well anymore, I can't use that excuse. Nevermind.

I can't believe I'm always late to anything happening these days, I either still work or sleep already when they upload :sideeye:

they. skip. levels. several of them. A LOT OF THEM. and then they complain that they can't do it. DANIEL. PHILIP. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. YOU ANNOY ME TO NO END SOMETIMES
[...]
I am with you! sdkfjsdlkfdskljskldfk

I can proudly say I have completed this game as the bomb defusal manual person. Skipping levels is a really bad idea. Also, they need to get a pen! Especially the "memory" modul and the ABC123 wires (don't remember the module name) will be so hard if they don't have a pen. They also need to shorten down their communication and cut out on the bants if they want to make it. This game gets really hard later on, especially if you get unlucky with the moduls (there's often an element of randomness in which you get).

Let me know if you guys don't understand a module and want it explained

PS: Is it possible they filmed this more than a week ago? Phil doesn't only have red roots showing, he also (still?) has a bandaid on his finger, similar to another video from recently.

I'm impressed by anyone who's got through even a moderate level. It clearly does need practise and knowledge of the modules.

They must have filmed this the same day as the other one when Phil had the plaster on his finger and they were both wearing the same tshirts. Edit - same day as I Am Bread, they did change their shirts. His hair's grown since then too (I prefer the softer look, now if only he'd let his fringe run free, it looks a bit severe if he keeps it too neat).

Yes!! I noticed Phil reacting to it, that was so adorable. The way he just nodded and slightly jutted his head out too with his sassy remark had me dead at the domesticity

Also I love Phil's frustration that they're not in alphabetical order, that would annoy me so much omg

By the way, for anyone that plays the game - Do you know how Dan was messing up with the first password? Was he playing it wrong or just reading it incorrectly off the manual?

It honestly reminded me of my parents when they're just shuffling around the house, going about their lives but poking fun and being cheeky with each other over small things. Just those little moments that show so much.

And now that I've officially compared to my parents, I think it's time for me to get some sleep. G'night.
